Hello,
is it possible to deactivate or to delete the eMail account?
Because I use only the SMS and I don't need the eMails.
I'm using WM 6.1 on a HTC Prophet
Thanks for response.
If you didn't make an email account, it shouldn't be there.
What exactly is your problem?
I didn't create an eMail account, but I still have an account entry called: "Outlook E-Mail" which has no specific eMail server and address datas. I'm not able to delete this account.
I have the SMS entry and the Outlook E-Mail entry.
I use SPB Diary where you can click on the menu item: "New Message"
Sometimes the new SMS window opens, sometimes the new E-Mail window opens.
If it's not clear, i can take a photo to show this to you.

How do you define the defualt email account. My KaiserTweak is configured to forward to the default e-mail inbox when i click the e-mail icon on HTC home, but it is still taking me to the standard SMS inbox. Advice?
Using the search option would have brought you to the solution

I already saw that, which i why i posted this. I have TWO e-mail inboxes, and i was asking how to set ONE of them as my default e-mail account.
And even with that tweak, when i click the e-mail icon i still get forwarded to the general messaging inbox, which is still nonselective. So every so often the e-mail icon still brings me to my SMS.
When I click on the Today Screen email icon, it asks me the following:
Select an Account:
SMS\MMS
E-Mail sample
my current email [email protected]
New E-mail Account.
Now is there way of deleting the E-Mail sample account?
account options, tap and hold it, delete.
Ok I deleted the E-mail sample but it won’t let me delete the outlook E-mail?
Is there a way to delete that one too?
Hey all,
I'm pretty satisfied with my Touch Pro and there is a small point Maybe someone here knows the answer...
I use activesync on the phone and Windows Mobile Device Center on my desktop, to sync everything except e-mail because I have a full email bundle with my telco so I poll mail on my phone as well as on my desktop, leaving email on the server. That way I'm always aware of email I receive.
Now, when I put an appointment in my calendar on my phone and I invite someone to that appointment, it wants to send that person an email. The problem is that it tries to do that via the Outlook E-Mail account which I don't have and the messages just stay in the Outlook E-Mail outbox forever.
I can't find any setting on my phone, to change the default account used to send these emails.
Does anyone here know how to get this working the way I want?
Grtz,
Patrick
Go to calendar -> tools -> options
Go to the appointments tab and select your desired account under 'Send meeting requests via'
Thanks, it turns out to be a very simply solution

Hi,
I am using Pocket Outlook, which I have synchronising with my Exchange server, on Windows Mobile 6.1 Prof (Touch HD).
I need to be able to send email from two different email addresses (i.e. change the "FROM" field). I can't see a way to do this in Pocket Outlook. Would be grateful if someone could tell me how; I can't imagine such a straightforward feature has been omitted? I can do this fine within normal Outlook, connected to the same Exchange account.
Ideally, it would automatically select the correct address when I am replying to a message so that it matches the address to which the originally message was sent. Is this possible?
Thanks,
Richard.
Hi RIchard,
You can indees send from any account you wish. On you message tab on touchflo, select the account you want to send from, then just press the new message tab next to the envelope. Or go into inbox from any account, selct the account you want to send from, then menu and new message
btw, the touch hd is so tasty!! yh?

I dont get what your problem is? I have my main email via Exchange and 2 addtional pop 3 mail accounts. On the home message tab it shows 3 envelopes on the right hand side of the screen, one for each account. If i want to send an email from a pop3 account, i just press the envelope and it will send an email from that account?!?
You cannot sync email via active sync if you have an exchange mail set up, but that is your only limitation, as far as i know....

Hi,
I think that the problem is as follows (well at least I have this problem )
I use google sync to give me push mail and forward my company email to google (to get it pushed).
If I reply to this email on my PPC (from the outlook mail account) then the recipient will see the reply coming from the google address rather than my company address.
So, I need to reply to the mail on PPC using my Outlook account to get the original subject and the original mail and then change the "from" field on the email to send from my company account (also setup on the phone).
Even a registry hack would do; to always send from the company account when in the Outlook exchange account.
I've done a lot of searching and found no solution to this.
In need of help !
I have synchronized my private contacts with MS Outlook on PC. I have set up MS Exchange email account on WM device, so I can send and receive emails through Exchange Server. However, I can not send email to company employees that are not in my private contact list. There is a option to search in "company directory" but it always gives me "found zero contacts" ... Seems like it is not searching in the right place. Server settings must be fine, since I do get emails and can use Reply to sent emails. There must be something with enabling "company directory" functionality here...
I tried to go into ActiveSync Options and saw that under Microsoft Exchange section only Email is checked (calendar, contacts are not checked). Thought this must be correct setting as I do not want to copy companies global address list into my mobile device. I just want to lookup for a name on Exchange Server when needed. Anyway, I tried to click on Contact checkbox on ActiveSync Options and then it said that I have to uncheck Private Contact. Sounds reasonable as WM can not handle two contact directories.
So what can I do to be able to select name from "Company Directory"
Its simple, you must sync also contacts in AS... Without them Company Directory will not work.

Thank you for quick and clear reply
will it then copy global contact list from Exchange Server to my phone? It will be thousands of people, I do not want to have all of them among my contacts...
If this does not copy all global contact list to my WM device, is there any way to keep my personal contacts on the phone, which are synched with Outlook contacts on PC?

I think not. It provides search online on exchange server.
To your device is synced only your private address book from Outlook. From Outlook which is connected to Exchange - private address book is stored on exchange server and copy on local PC. If you syncing address book from outlook not connected to Exchange server, you lose these contacts...
