I have a problem locking my raphael:
If I set a pin code to be asked for, when unlocking the phone, I can not lock the phone using the lower right key (keeping it pressed for ~3 sec).
Using the original T-Mobile ROM, this works out well.
When I deselect using a pin code to unlock the phone, I can lock it using the long press on the lower right button. Since right now I have 3 raphaels right in front of me, I can assure anyone, that this behaviour is only with the newest original HTC ROM. One of the phones has the original old T-Mobile ROM, the other two have the newest HTC ROM.
When a pin code is needed to unlock the phone and you just press the lower right key to lock it, all that happens is a short flashing of the screen and that´s all. The phone won´t lock .
Does anyone know a work around here?

ok the thing is i live in Jamaica. To cut a long story short, i have no cable or even a charger (i made 1). Got a code from cingular, it doesnt work.(tried 6 times strangely its not lock to the provider from the efforts). So is there a way anyone can help.
I hope you didn't try 6 times in a row. Cuz that will most likely lock the device permanently.
Most common reason why it's not working is because you need to press the button under the 'a' button twice to num lock it then enter in the code.

WM6.5 slide to unlock is really good looking one. But I have faced very weird situation. If I lock the device and turn off the backlight, the alarm will not work untill you slide to unlock it. And if I set the autolock enabled, the backlight will go off when the device locked, at that time, even I unlock it, the backlight never went on only if I press the power button twice. I have not found any thread talking about this, is this my issue only?
I have tried many roms, miri, maryone and david's, they are same...
but using S2U2 is fine...

So I'm backpacking around Europe and decided to go without a PC and wouldn't you know it.... My phone is screwed up.
The problem is that I was using TomTom the other night in Norway and I think I either waterlogged the screen or maybe a driver failed in SW. I have been having problems with a certain software combo on top of PDAUltimate and have had to 'reset' the OS because it got painfully slow.
So my question is about if there is a way to reflash the guy or get it to run the 'reset' process where it reinstalls the OS and clears it without a screen (only keyboard) and while it is locked?
See the screen died but I could still run most apps with just the keys at the bottom. However one of them runs the 'Lock' command on the home screen and that's the one I hit. ;( I could unlock it if I could slide the bar but the screen is not working so I can't do that.
Question #2. Is there a way to work the unlock slider from the buttons?
If I could get back to the start menu then I could run the system reset command there.
I did think about getting the files onto a SIM and use the Hard SPL to reflash so that is my long term solution but for now I have no PC.

Do a master rest. Hold in the 2 softkeys and use stylus to push reset button. It will reload OS from begining. remember to pull SD and sim cards
Well it all depends if your ROM had screen alignment and stuff on cold boot or not! If it doesnt, then you are good to go, if not, you have to use the screen.

I had the same issue with sat nav and pda ultimate, hard reset didn't fix, the only solution is to flash another rom, i have had this issue with the 3 latest PDA roms with igo and tom tom.

I have an old HTC s710 and like it. Problem is recently it acquired a mind of its own. It types symbols without any reason, when i lock it i cannot unlock it short of rebooting it, it keeps losing time. Keypad appears to be fine physically, all keys work, until it starts typing stuff on its own. I can lock and unlock it manually, but if i leave it locked for long i cant unlock it.
Initially it had WM6, updated to WM6.1 and later to WM6.5. It was working fine for a year on 6.1, i have upgraded it to 6.5 today to see if that would fix the problem - it hadn't. One new symptom on 6.5 is that it goes to dimmed screen and i cannot un-dim it by pressing any key, i have to lock it and unlock again to get a bright screen...
Any idea what it might be ?

Hmm, very weird but my phone used to do the same kinda thing.
You could try to do a hard reset, but i guess as you flashed it with a new rom, i guess it won't help.
you should try another RADIO ROM!
this might be the problem
or you've a problem with your flexcable?
or is your motherboard damaged(by a drop)? mine is so some keys on quertz keyboard have malfunktion sometimes they work sometimes they wont.
you might have a damaged and sofor useless vox but may a simple rom change(radio) could heal

my problem is that when I soft reset my device then the SIM PIN screen comes up for a second and then disappears and the phone starts loading TouchFLO. After that it also doesn't come up. I have to open Phone to get to the PIN screen and log me onto network.
Any idea how to fix it so that the phone asks me PIN code every time it boots up?

I've got the same problem.
But it's much easier to turn the phone on. Just press the "green" button on your phone and the screen where to fill in the PIN appears.
I know, it's not a real help, but it makes life more comfortable

Update your rom to another one, some of the original 6.5 builds did this, but most roms have been fixed now.
