WM6.5 slide to unlock is really good looking one. But I have faced very weird situation. If I lock the device and turn off the backlight, the alarm will not work untill you slide to unlock it. And if I set the autolock enabled, the backlight will go off when the device locked, at that time, even I unlock it, the backlight never went on only if I press the power button twice. I have not found any thread talking about this, is this my issue only?
I have tried many roms, miri, maryone and david's, they are same...
but using S2U2 is fine...
Can anyone help me figure this out? Really Thx!

Sometimes, about an 80/20 split, the s2u2 program doesnt correctly lock the phone.
The red discon/power key allows the unlocking of the phone.
When it is working, if I press the red button, it turns the backlight off like normal and s2u2 locks the phone and can only be unlocked by it.
Anyone know of a fix or a setting I have wrong? Reseting doesnt help, and I cant figure out why it works sometimes.
The developer is aware that this problem exists for some devices and stated that there is no fix for this problem. I liked the program but removed it after I found out there would not be a fix for this.

I too use the s2u2, and i noticed that i get the same thing. However, since all other buttons lock, and use the end key to unlock, I thought it was a normal function. As of v1.01, i still use it, enjoys it, and will continue to use it. When the my 750 goes to sleep, I hit the end key twice, and it comes back to life. Didn't expect any real problems withthe phone dialing itself when it's in my pocket, so for me at least, it works the way it supposed to.

I would like my phone to autolock when I push the on/off button. I know that Diamond Tweak has this option and it works. However, there is a BIG problem that I can't figure out how to solve.
When autolock is enabled, the screen backlight is on very dim when the phone is turned back on, regardless of the backlight settings. I do NOT have 'autobacklight' on. After unlocking, the backlight stays dim no matter what happens. The only way to get the backlight back to a higher setting is to go into backlight settings and move the slider before it readjusts. The odd thing is the backlight setting is set to a bright setting but is being ignored. This happens on every ROM i have tried. Obviously this is quite annoying and inconvenient.
Anyone know why the autolock function completely overides the backlight settings? Anyone know how to fix this?

this happened to me when i manually made teh reg tweak. go to settings personal lock and set the time to lock to 0 minutes. this should accomplish the same thing
EDIT: do you mean just the screen lock? cuz i've been trying to do the same thing but no one could help
+1 on this problem.
Each time the screen locks the backlight does not come back on when unlocked again. The only way seems to go into the backlight settings and change it which seems to re-enable the backlight. Does not seem to matter whether I manually powersave the device or let the powersave kick in automatically.
I am using Energy Rom W6.5 for Raphael. Am using the old Windows Default screen lock app (i.e. not the new WM6.5 screenlock).
Does anyone know how to set the backlight to switch back on after an unlock?
Have trawled the forums/Google with no success.

I spotted this on the at&t user forums. It's for the Kaiser/Tilt/8925, but wondering if the same "fix" could be applied?
I have the same issue. If the screen "wakes up" most of the time it is dim,
and I have to hit the on/off button to get it bright enough to see the screen.
I have been experiencing a similar issue. My Tilt doesn't just dim the screen, is actually goes into sleep mode (black screen) after about 15 seconds. I called HTC directly and was told that in addition to the backlightfix.cab available on the HTC web site, they have a second file for people like us who aren't helped by that file.

Heya, Im having an issue where my hardware button led's are stuck on after I put the device into sleep mode, I have to wake the phone up touch the center 'ok' button then set it back to sleep to get the lights to turn off.
Anyone else having this issue or know a fix?
Touch pro, Energy rom 1/aug/09 6.5, It was happining in a 6.1 version of enegy rom too. so maybe a hardware issue?

Check your Sounds and Notification Settings, you're probably set to flash for certain notifications. Adjust it and see if it helps.
Its not the center dial flashing, the 4 outside lights for each of the icons remain on.
ive yet to test if reciving a notifcation turns them off.

mine does it all the time, between waiting on text messages, typically when i sleep her with the keyboard out.. doesn't bother me tho?
i just look at it and say "you stupid ****in phone" which i do in increasing amounts anyway..?
It has something to do with the keyboard.
Sometimes,when I have the keyboard slided out this happens,so I need to turn it on,close the phone(wait few seconds for stupid autorotation),then switch it off.

I have an old HTC s710 and like it. Problem is recently it acquired a mind of its own. It types symbols without any reason, when i lock it i cannot unlock it short of rebooting it, it keeps losing time. Keypad appears to be fine physically, all keys work, until it starts typing stuff on its own. I can lock and unlock it manually, but if i leave it locked for long i cant unlock it.
Initially it had WM6, updated to WM6.1 and later to WM6.5. It was working fine for a year on 6.1, i have upgraded it to 6.5 today to see if that would fix the problem - it hadn't. One new symptom on 6.5 is that it goes to dimmed screen and i cannot un-dim it by pressing any key, i have to lock it and unlock again to get a bright screen...
Any idea what it might be ?

Hmm, very weird but my phone used to do the same kinda thing.
You could try to do a hard reset, but i guess as you flashed it with a new rom, i guess it won't help.
you should try another RADIO ROM!

or is your motherboard damaged(by a drop)? mine is so some keys on quertz keyboard have malfunktion sometimes they work sometimes they wont.
you might have a damaged and sofor useless vox but may a simple rom change(radio) could heal

Whenever I set a lockscreen on my g3, knock for example, it works ONCE then reverts back so slide. (I also had lock when power is hit on) This a major problem so I'd like to get some help on this.

do you use a custom launcher?
Anyway i was playing around with it and got the result as you...the Knock code was working as it would turn on the phone, but if i pushed the power button it would default to slide. only thing i did was check the settings and apparently the "power button locks" did not stick so I unticked and cleared lock screen. then did it again and it stuck. works like it should now...
however this made the phone make lock noises.... must fix that now lol
Nope im on stock everything and it does the same thing for every type of lock. I'm hoping its just a bug that I can fix in the next OTA.
