Error when trying to flash [SOLVED] - Touch Pro, Fuze General

I've got a problem with not being able to flash anything or even run Hard SPL. I'm running windows xp professional, and i have one of NRG's roms on my phone and my wifes is stock. It's not the rom, its something to do with my computer but cant figure out what it is. I've never flashed a rom from this computer before.
below is a picture of the error i get. if you guys need any more info, let me know. this is driving me crazy!
yes it was the .NET framework. figured it out about 10 mins after i posted it then left the house!
thank you for your help

I do believe you're missing the .NET framework; that's what causes those 0x135 errors (the system is looking for the .NET to handle its byte-code and not finding it.)
You can download it here.
Additionally, if you're having more trouble flashing, you can always flash via a MicroSD card- there's a guide on the wiki.

y'know, ive tried numerous times to flash via micro-sd card and every time was a failure. im following the steps (or at least think i am) but it just reboots normally as if theres not a ROM on the card. I'd love to be able to do it since its a helluva lot faster. ill keep tinkering, appreciate it.

Issues loading WM6 rom

I've tried installing the file using the bootloader method countless times now and every time I get a coloured screen with "Serial" at the bottom and some text up the top.
I've tried the card as it was when I got it, Tried it formatted FAT32 with windows, tried it formatted with Resco on the device, etc. It's definitely FAT32.
When I open any of the 3 .exe files from Palm in winzip or winrar there are two .nbh files (CHEEIMG.nbh and CHEEIMG_FW.nbh) one is ~263kb and one is ~85MB.
From everything I have read so far I ignore the correctly named small one (CHEEIMG.nbh) and copy the big one (CHEEIMG_FW.nbh) to the SD card - once thats done I rename it to CHEEIMG.nbh and I should be good to go - start the bootloader and it should work but it's just not happening.
Am I missing something? I just can't get it to work. I've tried the 3, vodafone and generic (ROW) files.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
EDIT:
I'm currently running TREO750-1.15-ROW
Firmware: 1.27.3b.00
Cheers
As far as I understand all this you have to run Hard-SPL first, otherwise your device won't load "foreign" roms.
hmm ok I'll try that but since it's a ROW to ROW update I thought it's not a foreign ROM?

I think you can flash all official and leaked without Hard-SPL... It's needed for cooked roms.
surely I shouldn't need it for the bootloader method?
Anyone got any ideas that may help me upgrade?

T-Mobile G1 1.6, kernel 2.6.29, unrooted - cyanogen help!

Hey all,
Over the last few days, I've spent a large amount of time researching a way to flash cyanogen onto my phone. I've gone though this tutorial:
http://www.simplehelp.net/2009/10/04/how-to-install-cyanogenmod-4-1-99-on-your-g1-android-phone/
and come into problems here:
http://www.simplehelp.net/2009/09/21/the-complete-step-by-step-guide-to-rooting-your-android-phone/
Step 15 -- from my research, it appears that this 'hack' or 'exploit' was fixed since 1.6 was released. This prevents me from backing up and loading nandroid to flash with cyanMOD. The error is "Can't backup" or something very general like that.
So, I went to the IRC channel and got great help from 'franta' which suggested that I need to 'goldcard' my sim. I found a website that will do it for free, but it looks sketchy and it appears that I need 2 sim cards to do this (1 would be to goldcard, and the other is my t-mobile, right?)
So, all in all, a few questions and if I could be lead in the right direction, would be very helpful and appreciated!
1.) Is goldcard the way to go? Why?
2.) Do I really need 2 sim cards? Why?
3.) Are there any other solutions to this? I've tried about 3 other ones which have resulted in a complete wipe (kinda needed that anyway!)
Thanks for the help in advance!

Good luck,
Thanks!
Issue is, when I downgrade from R30, I cannot format my SDCARD to FAT32.
Whenever I try, the SDCARD automatically unmounts and remains as a FAT. Is this a known problem I will have to endure until there is another way around this?
I should note I've tried XP, Vista, and Windows 7 computers (I have Ubuntu access, but haven't tried that).
Infact, if I even venture into "manage" for My Computer OR format via cmd prompt it unmounts itself. /facepalm

A couple of questions....MyTouch 3g

I came from WinMo phone which I used to flash all the time with different ROMS. Now I have this Android and am not sure what to do with it, I love the phone, have had it for about 3 months now, but I know it can do bigger and better things. So is rooting the same thing as unlocking? When I used to flash my WinMo phone I would drop the ROM into the little software flash package I kept on my hard drive and change it out. Is there such a thing for Android. I really like this phone and don't want to screw it up assuming I know what I'm doing because I did it on my other phone, I want to edumacate myself like I did before I started flashing my other. Does anyone have reliable good information links they can point me to within this forum that will help me feel good about flashing this phone too? I know I've read that just rooting the phone makes it run faster without flashing a ROM....true? Thanks for your help, suggestions, etc. All is appreciated.

Wow... Amazing that you could put in the effort required to post all of this, but couldn't read through the Wiki posts and general information stickies at the top of this Forum.
Please do some more reading.
One hint... Your MyTouch 3G is a 32B device.
I was really confused when I started customizing my girls mytouch...Ive been flashing WM phones for years even update my kitchen with newest releases etc. In fact I personally use a touch pro.
I have yet to really sit down and figure out how to make some android roms myself. Ive been loading up premade roms posted on here.
It was a bit confusing when finding out how to get a hero rom on her phone. With all the fat 32/ext2/3/4/linux swap etc.
What I did was followed the one click rooting thing that loads cyanogens recovery and rom. Then I took the amon_ra recovery which allows you to partition the sd card on the device since I didnt have an sd card reader on my laptop or linux. When you are loading the cyanogen recovery/rom you'll download an app from market called recovery flasher or something like that. In the first step you'll be asked to backup the cyanogen recovery which makes a file on the sd card. Take the amon_ra recovery file and rename it the same as the backup file on the sd card. Overwrite the file on the sd card. Rerun the recovery flasher app and click restore from backup..Follow the instructions and you'll have the Amon_ra recovery.
Boot into the recovery screen (hold home and power until it boots up) partition the sd card. I have my girls 1gb set at 256mb ext4 partition, 64mb linux swap, and the rest as Fat32.
Then load up a rom make sure its intended for 32b.
I by no means am an expert in this so take what I said with a grain of salt. I wrote that from memory. Just trying to help someone out the was just like me a month ago. Really confused.
Hope that helps.
PS. Took me a while to find out but despite this being the forum that seems would be for the mytouch I actually find more roms for 32b in the G1 forum.
You can check out the wiki page on cyanogen's website:
http://wiki.cyanogenmod.com/index.php/Main_Page
that was enough information for me to get started. Note that I haven't partitioned my sd card.
maybe u can try this tutorial .. it's one of the simplest direct methods to flash ur phone
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=579328
p.s. : expect things to be more complex here it's just linux way of doing things
I used the guide at the cyanogen wiki and it works marvelously. I do reccomend using Amon_RA's recovery image instead of the Cyanogen one used in the guide(not to be confused with Cyanogen's ROM. Absolutely use the ROM, but when you get to the Recovery Image part, install Amon_RA's and follow the same steps, making sure to adjust command lines to reflect this different recovery image).
It just offers more functionality that I'm sure you'll find useful for later, such as backing up, partitioning, converting ext partitions and so forth. You'll learn about that stuff later.
Happy rooting, and best of luck to you my friend. As a fellow myTouch3G user, feel free to PM me with any questions. =)

[Q] Ubuntu on Atrix Webtop not installing

I swear to god i tried every search tool in xda and google before posting, but sometimes I cant find the pen I'm holding, so dont kill me.
I tried installing ubuntu for webtop on my Atrix, DL'd the file on the thread, ran ubuntu.exe from my PC with the Atrix on all four USB modes, debugging ON, and, of course, rooted, and here is what I get:
psneuter failed to execute properly
HALP!
Bump!
Cmon folks, can anyone give me a hand? Its the first linux instalation I'm doing, and the first android sideloading.
I just discovered the automated Ubuntu script needs a build much higher than my own to work (4.0.50), and there are no updates yet on my country, so... what do I do to install it?
Hi,
I've also been trying to complete the install with the same problem... I'm using the UK version of the Atrix on Orange.
I'm trying to do the install by hand and it's not straight-forward. Once I've managed it, I'll post some instructions. In the meantime, we can wait for Orange to release a ROM update (don't hold your breath though as it takes them ages to take a perfectly good ROM and turn it into something quite so horrible as the Orange version - still keeps all those France Telecom employees in work!)
The brazilian retail ROM has been updated, so it shouldnt be long until our operators release theirs. Nonetheless, I wouldnt be quite so sure it would hit the mark of ROM versions that Ubuntu installation needs to be automated.
My problem was right in the begining... I dont have 1GB udnerthe "used" column, rather, 500mb. And I have no idea how to change that value.
If you the manual steps outlined by sogarth in post #4
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1000316
you should get to where I currently am! The problem seems to be in getting the new disk image mounted.
I did, but as I said, IO ran into lack of space right in the begining
Ok so, no problem on space, but I'm really lost here. Running the first command after space check gets me several kinds of errors, one of them being that the damn ubundu.disk doesnt exist, or that I dont have acess because it is mouted as read only.
Can someone please walk me through that? I know nothing about linux =(
Am trying the secodnary script for version .1.83, since thats what I have, but when I run adb shell from my pc, it asks for a password i have no idea what it is. =(
Just to make sure: are you on a rooted device?

[ODIN+CWM] GB Ext4 Starter Pack (Nov 24) THANKS!

After struggling with this phone T959V for 3 days I finally got the ROM installed.
It seems as you read these forums you're not sure if what you're reading is accurate and how much of this still relevant to your issue.
I did everything on a 32-bit system as this seems to matter as I couldn't do this on my 64-bit Win7, but that was following the heimdall oneclick methods, but I could only go so far with that. I got all the way to the cannot mount SD Card...
Being that this is my 2nd phone to root, this is the harder of the lot (my other was HTC)
But enough about myself here's some tips if you're still having issues with this guide that helped me out which wasn't posted.
Do yourself a favor and just get a 2nd SDCard. Stop crying about the cost and just get one. I had 2 8GBs so I didn't care if anything happened.
I made sure I copied all the data over to the hard drive and then formatted the blank one and put the files back. So now if I blew this one up while in rooting mode, I didn't care, because I knew I had one sitting ready to go.
You may want to get the latest Samsung USB drivers as mine was 32-bit and after rebooting it was able to see the phone.
If you stick your phone in downloading mode, just leave it there and make sure odin can see your phone. If its not showing up then something else is wrong (usb, cable, port...etc) many times ODIN couldn't see my phone and I had to download reinstall drivers reboot etc...but my phone was still hanging in download mode, so dont sweat it...
I was able to follow the directions and was very happy I got to step 10.
You may want to get the QuickBoot.apk as this is better than going to CWM once you're in the phone.
But now enter the ROM and I get the blasted "Cannot mount sdcard".
And I cannot make a backup, which is an indication that something is not reading right.
I read through the forums and they talked about creating a partition. Since I didn't care about the SDCard info I just said create a partition thinking that it would create a separate partition on the card...nope..it will wipe everything from the card as if you formatted it. I chose the 1024 and 0 cache and away it went.
After a quick reboot, I was able to make a backup and finally load a ROM and install.
I didn't realize that it was such a big deal with the formatting, but again as they say follow all directions.
I didn't do the #12, but did hear the Linda and all is great!
I'm happy to report that my Samsung Galaxy S T959V is finally rooted and Valhalla Black Edition installed.
I figured I should contribute my headaches as someone might be going through them as well.
My follow up questions would be:
1. Do I need to flash the busybox_installer?
2. If I got a new and say larger SDCard like 32GB and just created a new partition, would it just reformat that to the phone's liking and then install a new ROM in that?
Thanks for this forum!

1. You don't really need the busybox installer, but it's recommended since there are a few apps and tweaks out there that need busybox. If I recall correctly, I threw in busybox into my edition of VB, but I'm not sure if Raver threw it into his.
2. Yeah you can format it directly from the phone but the repartitioning is necessary, it'll work just after a format.
