Pro = PPC
Standard = Smartphone
Does anyone know how to run our own custom cooked images in this emulator? Seems to me it would speed up the cooking process if I could just build the rom and run it in the emulator. I saw some posts on this forum asking this very same question a while back. Now that we have a WM6 capable emulator I think it is time to wake this idea up.

That would be interesting, it could save alot of people from killing their ppc's when trying new stuff .... But I don't think it's possible
Somebody pls say I'm wrong
Actually Professional is Pocket PC Phone Edition and Classic is Pocket PC.

Perhaps also handy to post this in one of the General Discussion threads, like Development and Hacking.
I'm downloading the software now, I'll post the results later on.

If you refering to cooked rom's... I think you're right. As far as I know is not possible to install a cooked rom in a emulator.
Loading a cooked rom is indeed not possible, but it's a very handy app. to test software (and perhaps some one wil find a way to get another ROM loaded).
I have been able to test the Dutch MUI for HTC Album on a WM 6 emulated device, Still playing around with it, if you want more info check out http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa188174.aspx, there you can read al about how-to use it. Have fun

6.1 Manill2D Idiot's Guide?

Ok, apologies for starting a new thread on what's probably been done a hundred times. But I notice info is scattered around literally 1000's of pages so I thought I' just start a simple one here to a pretty simple question.
I'm getting a stock Orange e650 and want to put Manilla2D on it, or just WM6.1.
I've read up on the SPL etc, and Dr. Martin Gonzo's WM 6.1 zip seems pretty idiot proof with very clear instructions. I'm pretty confident about flashing it.
However, I've not found a simple guide to Manilla2D. Does Manilla2D sit on top of 6.1? ie, I install WM6.1, and then the cab files for M2D?
The .zip I have has various .cab files which I imagine are executed on the device. But when and how?
I basically need a solid guide to installing a stable Manilla2D build.
I'm happy take pictures and write up a guide as I do it if one doesn't exist. A sort of 'noob's' guide from a 'noob's' perspective.
Thanks
Because there is no simple way to get manilla 2d to work on a smartphone^^ Try allshadow.com forums, there is a thread with guides!

lol The more I read, the more I think I'll just put 6.1 on.
Thanks
I don't know if manilla runs on 6.0, but 6.1 is a definite improvement over 6.0!
the first treath is now renewed
with it its now very easy to get manila working but at least with neo and wm6.1 rom the upper symbols(like mute signal strange etc) are white boxes.(maybe another 96dpi hack will solve it runs smoothly on my vox except landscape even with installed patch it wont work.
Anyone interested in making a 6.1 ROM with Manilla2D already installed? Is it by any means possible?
DID DO
But the 96 dpi hack eems to make things impossible to use on a daily basis
try the random audio manager that keeps loading

[REQ] (new) Office 2010 as CAB

Hi there!
Does anybody have a CAB of the new Office 2010 mobile?
I know that there's a cab from the beta around for a while, but
I'm searching the new version (with outlook) from the latest builds (235XX)...
I think that would be nice for a lot of people who don't want to flash a new
rom only to have the new MSO!
Thx in advance!
Regards,
Markus

office 2010 can be downloaded from marketplace on your device.
thx for your reply, but the download from marketplace is the beta without outlook... i'm searching for the version used in the latest builds from MS. maybe
one of our chef's can provide a cab made from one of the packages!
Subscribing to this. Would like it as well.
Interested in this as well.
ME TOO........
same here!
i think the beta is over here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=586792

thanks but we are not looking for the beta. we need the office 2010 that comes with the new outlook for threaded emails in windows mobile 6.5. the beta doesn't have this feature.
can't find it on the german marketplace, really sucks here ...
have anyone tried this?
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=609675
tom_codon (Tom), Xannytech, Miri & kholk (Eugenia) all appear to have Office Mobile 2010 without any beta markings. Does anyone actually know if this isn't just the beta? In particularly regarding tom_codon's ROM which states "Office 2010 RMT".
Is 'RMT' a spelling mistake (RTM) or does it mean something else?
I'm assuming this isn't what everyone is after... but just in case here is Office Mobile 2010 Beta.

i get "your current version is not supported"...
again @ anyone, especially the cooks:
can someone PLS provide a cab for the "new" office 2010, or at least a cab
for the "threaded emails" (if that is not part of the office package, 'cause dutty
has office 2010 in his roms, but not the threaded mails)?
thx!
Bump for the week. Still looking for Office Mobile 2010 final.
Why is beta still on the app store?
Don't have the time to create a cab, but here is the EXT (converted OEM from 23518) for Office Mobile 2010.
Yea, the new office as a cab would be nice..
Yeah I would love to have it as well, anyone has a working non beta cab?
cab creation woes

I created 2 cabs with this EXT, one which installs in program files, another that installs in /windows. The first installs fine, however, the created shortcuts don't work afterwards, nor does launching the app from the install folder. The cab that installs in /windows first wanted to uninstall the previous 2010 install (not sure if that was the first attempt or the beta I had install before). After that the installation fails, wants a different location
If anyone else wants to try (I've never created a cab before, chances are I did something wrong), here's what I used:
URL="http://www.techparaiso.com/how-to-create-cab-installation-files-for-windows-phone-devices/"] Cab creation guide
URL="http://thepiratebay.org/torrent/4252366/Wince_Cab_Manager_v2.1.0.35"] WinCE Cab Manager
And, if anyone wants to try, maybe this cab will work:
URL="http://www.megaupload.com/?d=C8VOMC2A"]Office Mobile 2010 cab
Could be that it works on WinMO 6.1 or lower, my WinMO 6.5 can't install it.
(I would have liked to create proper links, but the forum does not yet allow me to do this)
Might be that you compressed the cab or that you chose not to set a min/max OS. Am just done with setting up my hd2 after flashing a new rom, dont really feel like installing something that might screw office up, especially since its a company-phone and I use outlook and the office-apps daily
[Edit]
Interesting, I got an error when editing it with WinCE Cab Manager, that the data is corrupt...
guys,
from what i have read, the threaded emails is part of wm6.5.x and not the office 2010 cab. though i would love to be proven wrong!

I tried it tonight. It looks very nice indeed, with all the options you would expect from a full-fledged desktop software. Integration with IE also works fine ...
... but ...
after downloding a few megs it always throws an error. Game over.
I'm afraid it's not designed for WM 6.5 - or at least not for the Leo.
Anyone else got ideas?
Another thread on the same subject.

C'mon guys, pls do some basic research before starting a new thread ...
Would be nice if it supported rapidshare and premium accounts

whether this is feasible

if anyone is trying to "Internet Explorer" replaced with "Opera" browser directly when making cooked WM, or "Explorer" linked to the system that is required to use the Internet, I started to explore a bit and opportunities when built with TML WM kitchen
Hi, i think
thingonaspring has done this but now sure, hav a look at his latest ROM
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=643243
double post opps
please delet
Now I can test it, THING WM6.1 v2.11 2010-04-07 21,127, is the "opera mini" but it's worth to try, although I see that a lot of unnecessary things dropped from this edition of WM, and seems promising. anyway thanks for help
