Do any ROMs have a new bluetooth stack? - Touch Pro, Fuze General

I'm trying to find a way to get around the problem of Windows Mobile 6.1+ bluetooth stacks not working properly with Nissan cars with the nav system (many old threads on this around xda, ie http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=3858170#post3858170)
Anybody know if anybody has implemented their own bluetooth stack (or copied one from a non win-mo device) that can be loaded onto a Raphael?
Thanks!

I get a dead link there?
I've tried the work arounds of switching to the handset and back to the car (headset), but no luck there, not sure if that was the suggestion?

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=406116&page=12
Is the actual link.

Did it work?
Any changes?

Yeah, any luck?

The work around works for me ... it's a bit annoying though. Shame to put a put extra money for the extras in a car only to have it not work right.
Just have to explain to people while it takes a few seconds before I can talk.

Bluetooth madness...argh!

Is it the nature of the bluetooth stack implimentation or poor application development practices or something else that makes using the stereo headsets a royal pain? Originally thinking it might be a ROM issue, I went on the hunt.
I've done a number of experiments running different ROMs with the various radios and used different a/v apps to listen on my Jabra BT8010. The result of my effort is total confusion.
ROMs used: various flavors from Alex, Dutty, Schap, Quentin and a couple others.
Radios used: each of the flavors based on ATT or HTC available
Apps used: Each of the media players, MS VoiceCommand(VC), XM Radio, Pocket Talk and a few others.
Results seemed to show that any ROM (i.e. regardless of the ROM) may have intermittent or consistant problems with any application depending on the order in which things are done. The problems vary...sometimes media would work but VC and/or XM would not. Sometimes, working meant only one ear would work. Sometimes everything works, then not after running either VC or XM.
So what am I looking for writing this thread? Direction. I'd like to understand how bluetooth/audio works on the Tilt product. Point me in the DIRECTION where I might find answers to "how this stuff" is set up to work.
Based on my testing, it seems that BT implimentation via the MS stack AND poorly written SW are the culprits. Please clue me in if you can.
BTW, I saw someone reccomend a BT app from Jetware to help with this sort of thing. I used it and it seems to help occassionally, but not always
bump
me too..any solutions out there?..been scouring the board and trying diff settings but no joy,my bt stereo headphones used to work with dutty's 7b...now at dutty v4 rtm only one channel(left ear) works

well...found a work around
I poked around a bit more after my last post. I have the plantronics stereo BT headset. I found that after pairing with the tilt (dutty v4 rtm)if I disable handsfree, do a soft reset then re-enable handsfree that I can get both stereo channels to work and hands free functions to work also. Convoluted I know, but its working at least..many bluetooth stack issues I guess.

I've tried other things that seemed to work but after a reset or power down or something else, seemed temporary. I will however try your suggested workaround. Thanks for posting.
Do you use Cyberon Voice Commander 2.0 by any chance? If so, what's the status of its' working condition? Thanks.
cyberion
i'm not using cyberion in dutty's v4, I installed it but could not find the tab to add voice tags in the contacts list, sooo no way to use it then. It worked fine in his v7b release though.

Bluetooth fileshare on Hero?

Hello all,
I have pulled the Bluex program from one of the other build an ion version and trying to get it on hero. But any time that I search for devices i get an error "Error in local device (power disabled?)" any one know why that it does that or how it can be fixed. any help would be geratly appreciated.
The Hero Bluetooth drivers are all messed up, that's why it's not working.
sorry 4 OT, but
imho there should be no support for apps, which you have not bought in the market!
uh..
I don't think he's trying to pirate software, I think he just wants bluetooth transfers. I understand his desire as well, as I also like transferring pics and music through bluetooth.
Caid.

Yeh I am not trying to pirate software at all. It was included in one of the other builds that i have downloaded from here before. It did work on the build. I am able to use the bluetooth on the Hero rom for calls and music just that this application don't work. Just was wondering if anyone knew if I can just try and use the bluetooth files from the other build and push into the Hero rom but as I was looking over everything it does not seem to be just a overlay but a different version of the OS not just standard 1.5 with a fancy UI as I had thought. Does anyone know how that I can pull the config files from the 1.5 and put on hero I have had no luck so far.
bluetooth issues
I can get the Hero bluetooth working for stereo but it won't connect for calling.
I'm attempting this with my car's bluetootn (2009 acura tsx)
I can start a call but when someone answers, there's no sound.
Once again, bluetooth stereo works like a charm.
Tried a bluetooth stereo headset with exactly the same result,
Any ideas?

Theres usually different profiles that handle a handsfree connection to your car, and different ones that handle audio, so in this case A2DP for stereo headset. Other then that, I would know nothing else on how to go about fixing it. Unless your up for a complete reflash...

I also have the 09 tsx and been trying to get my magic to transfer my contacts to the car but doesnt work. nk02's ion rom works flawless on cars. the hero roms not so great. maybe we have to wait for the next update from google to get proper contact transferring among other profiles?
I have the same problem
and as it to see, there is no solution so far.
I have the same problem with Hero ROM.
When I want to send file this error appear: error in local device (power disabled?)
And I can not receive any file.
Can anyone solve this problem?

[SOLVED]BMW bluetooth - an expensive accessory does not work :(

Hi, I am trying to get my BMW bluetooth to work with TG01
only the phonebook transfer work correctly
Jetware 1.4 did not improve anything
Please help anyone has their TG01 working with BMW?
UPDATE 2010/03/29
a half solution is to start the car, then turn the BT on the phone, then it works perfect.
the reason why his is a HALF solution only: next time you start the car you have to start BT on the phone again ( I am used to have my BT working 24/7 )

Not BMW, but I have it working perfectly paired with my Ford car system. So I'd suspect is most likely a settings isue one side or the other rather than anything fundamental.
well I have noticed that it works well with newer idrive models, but mine is 2005 MY so no idrive and no luck
ive also heard alot of complaints like this ... not being able to read phonebook
ill try today in 2008 toyota

Yes, I have tried 2 bmw forums, but they do not know about WM 6.5 much
this is my first WM phone, all the other phones worked in the same car.
I managed now to get sms to show on the screen of the car, but calls is more important
people here in HD2 forum said they exange some big (5-6 digits) number in the registry and it works for them, but I am pesimistic about this because they have different BT stack, right?
HD2 - widcomm
TG01 - MS
well it never hurts to try , just make sure u can undo it .. tho if the regkey contains "htc" somwhere it most def wont work
I have downloaded a utility for enabling rSAP profile on our phone - it did not help...I then disabled the rSAP and a miracle!!!
I managed to place 2 calls already. I hope on next connection with the car it will still work
what is this miracle program which lets you enable the rSAP? I need it too!!

search this forum "rSAP"...but before you do a short update:
of course on next connection, nothing worked ...and I have updated to the new rom and did not install rSAP and I was able to obtain the same result...this means it has nothing to do with my previous success
this situation is driving me grazy already...I do not know why sometimes i can get it to work perfectly by just switching BT on and off.
today i have wasted many hours just turning it on and off trying to find the rule, working combination - so far it seems to work at random
and if I get it to work it works for the next call and the next...until I get out of the car. when I start the car again it does not work r-r-r...how can I take a "snapshot" of the phones state when it is working and somehow replicate this state every other time I am in the car?!!
please help me
try resetting ur phone , sometimes it wont pair with my bt headset nomatter what i do but a phone softreset fixes it

a SR does indeed fix it, but only until next disconnect...when I came to the next day it is the same story again
I refuse to believe that this just a normal thing for WM (although having for the last couple of years only blackberries, I miss their stability and auto on/off function) ...even WM cannot be THAT glitchy
anyone?
I think I am onto something here:
if the BT is switched on after I start the car, everything works perfect!
the only inconvinience now is switching BT on/off for each jorney (especially annoying during short trips with short stops - to the local shop, post office etc)

[Q] google navigation volume/hidden audio tuning menu

I cant find any info on successfully accessing the audio hidden menu.
I have a problem that when I use a 3rd party music player and google navigation at the same time (i play the sound through the car stereo) then the volume of the navigation directions is reduced to almost zero when a headset/lead to car stereo is plugged into the headphone socket.
I've had a really goof look around and the fix mentioned in post 8 here looks to be the most educated and likely fix that I cant try as I cant find out how to access the hidden menu which leads to the audio tuning menu mentioned.
Any advice or direction would be greatly appreciated
Acne
Bump.
I'm having this problem too. The only way I know that I'm coming up to a turn is that the music goes quiet for a few seconds.
This problem seems well documented across most phone platforms but fixes are few and far between, with most either waiting for an android or navigation update to fix the problem.
From my testing it shows that the problem only occurs when the 3.5mm head phone jack is being used so it seems sensible to try and access the volume control to control how the phone outputs audio to the jack for different apps.
Trouble is I cant - does anyone know how to access these hidden menus or perhaps just edit a config file or suchlike with the phone?
Thanks
Acne
This problem also occurs over bluetooth audio. I've tested it on the BT Audio in my car and my Jaybird bluetooth headphones.

hi guys, just wanted to share, i had been quite bothered with bugs like these... and have been searching the web for a long time... i found a solution apparently (cant remember the site name... but some official google guys replied or something) said that u need to check ur phone tts (text to speech) settings to make sure google tts is selected
apparently, if u are using things like v-lingo or samsung powerewd by v-lingo, it becomes soft... i tested this out... was very very surprised.. apparently it got way louder.
before this i tried a volume booster which did nothing but waste space on my phone. oddly ppl swear by those apps, all i could do was swear at it...
anyway.. enough rambling... hope this fixes ur issues

[Q] Zeemote JS1 won't pair with my HTC Sensation

like the title says,
the handset wouldn't let me enter a manual pin like "0000" etc.
it automatically generates a pin and asks me to enter on the zeemote! what the #&%!?
(see the photos)
i tried Bluez IME but it tries to pair using the phone's default pairing method which is the problem in the first place.
i contacted HTC support and they apologized saying there's nothing they can do about it. what the #&%!?
please point me at a solution to force manual pin or a hack.
i've seen guys pair with this same controller from the default bluetooth settings on other phones (YouTube).
so frustrating
unfortunately, this is an issue with the HTC bluetooth stack for the sensation and evo3d.
the only game pad that works perfectly with it so far is the BGP100
http://www.dealextreme.com/p/msi-bgp100-bluetooth-gamepad-1-aaa-battery-included-13760
trust, ive tried almost every controller you can think of (including console controllers), with every possible bypass method for android, and the only one that works easily and perfectly is the BGP100...
the only downside is finding one
EDIT* the only one i havent tried, but think it will work is the iControlPad: http://icontrolpad.com/
$*1T! i already bought the zeemote!
looks like you've done your research; saved me a lot of time XD
hopefully, someone uploads a fix soon. please remember me if u find one!

Have you tried mobilegear.com's driver?
http://mymobilegear.com/GameProAn.php
I think you can try it out and see if it works and if it does it'll cost you 10 bux.
I bought the drivers for the i-tech bt virtual keyboard because no other bt drivers would work. Now it works perfect for 10 bux!

I tried the trial. It still tries to pair using the phone's default method so it's the same as bluez IME.
It's not a driver issue I think. It's an issue trying to connect the device in the first place.
the best fix is if HTC creates a new BT stack with a new kernel release, or if a keen dev takes a stab at it...at first it though it was a BT3.0 issue, but ive had keyboard and mice and headsets that were 1.0/2.0/2.1 that connected right away thru android...
there could be an app made that overrides the bt stack, such as the one kpjimmy posted, but most trials arent as effective as the paid versions...
you have a couple options, but none of them are free atm
