German WM6-Rom ???

Anyone here willing to cook a German Rom? Don't know if O2 will bring one ever. English Rom with German keyboard sucks

I´ve got WM6 MB and after hardreset I installed "hadesgermanlanguagepack" and it works. German wrodsuggest, ä,ö,ü by pressing symbol....

issuses with this cab?

It set all registry hacks and everything, so you get german keyboard, german sym and wordsuggest. i´ve been running it on every wm6 rom (orwell, underground, mb and now faria) it works, no issus. Just fine, for me. But you can also change everything manually and put in only sym.txt but hten you have no wordsuggest.

hope that in april will came out a full wm6 german rom

Where have you heard of a patched htc_home.dll and what should the dlll do?
If you want to run iGo8 disable HTC Home from Today and softreset after this start iGO minimize iGO with pressing red (telephone)button and enable HTC Home in Today go through all panels of Home and then maximize iGo it still works until you softreset it!

i need the patch for customise my weather cities .the patch on the site below worked with your old rom based on nothrills but not with the new shipped one....
the problem: htc home is linked to htc.accuweather.com. this site is locked for many cityies. the plugin change the link (in the binary-file htchome.dll) to accuweather.com and you can add all cities from the website...

htc home tabs! without music tb
Using a Registry editor Go to: HKLM\Software\HTC\HTCHome\TabSetting (If you don't have the string TabSetting, Create a new String and name it to "TabSetting" and give it the values you want.)
There you will see the value: 1,2,3,4,6 (Each of these is a tab. Note there are no spaces between the numbers and commas)
1 = Home (Time + Date)
2 = Contact shortcuts.
3 = Weather
4 = Program shortcuts.
5 = Music schortcut. (Originaly it's hidden with this tweak you can active it.)
6 = Profile Manager.
The only thing you have to do is changing the values in TabSetting.
You can add or delete the tabs when you have no use of it.
So having a TabSetting of 1,2,3,4 will show Home, Favourite People, Weather and Launcher.
Having a TabSetting of 1,3,4,5 will show Home, Weather, Launcher and Music Player
I CAN NOT GET MUSIC TAB RUNNING!!!! coud some one try pls!

i thought the issue with the german umlaute on the hardware keyboard is soved now with the htc-ship based rom. i tested it just now and on my device it don't work
2. no change to activate the media tab on htc home.
although this is the best german rom at the time..

Umlaute in hardware keyboard is definitly working!
First type the normal letter exampel "a" then press Fn button and then space the normal letter will change to the Umlaut "ä".
I think somewhere in this forum was a solution for this, try a search.
If i find it i will post.

for all that miss the media tab in htc-home. here is the english version of htc audio manager today plugin. it is a nice alternative for the media tab and teijak even had it in his old rom based on nothrills...

sorry, my version of music player is
not multilingual and therefore it is no mui file that i can replace. do you you have a better (german) cab of htc music player today?

Did you softreset your device after copying the mui to windows,there is nothing to replace!

I just bought a new 8925 Tilt that is running Mobil Windows 6.1 . I saw another Tilt with a nifty Com control panel.(see attached jpeg) What do I need to obtain and install this control panel?

PCM Keyboard
Did any one tried PCM Keyboard. I get an device.exe errror.

i am testing this rom for two days,
there is bug in the touchscreen, its VERY SLOW,
i mean it is not reacting well, f.e. if want to call some one
i press the tab 1 but nothing happens, i have to press 3-5 times
has anyone a fix for it!
IGO8 it work BUT without htc home
in nothirlls version i had to disable just the weather tab!
THIS ROM FEELS SLOWER THAN nothrills one!
its "sehr träge" very slow in my opinion!

German customatization of Opentouch Roms

Hello there,
anyone tried to change WM6.1 to german or another language?
Actually, I work with the "OpenTouch"-roms. Many thanks for this. These are amazing roms!
I'm able to translate the Manila2D plugin. I attached this file. This file imports a translated 0409.mui. This works great!
When I import *.0407.mui-Files I'm not able to run the Phone Dialog, the contacts Dialog or the SMS-Dialog. This also happens when I rename the Manila2d.0409.mui into Manila2D.0407.mui. After that I change through registry the language to 0407.
The import of this Files are also attached. I try also every not existing 0407 file, which is there as 0409, to 0407.
I have the same issue => I cannot run phone,- contacts and SMS-dialog.
Can anyone help me?
P.S.: OpenTouch 7.3.1 works great without modifications!

I try to extract the *.mui files from WM6.1 and I copy these to windowsfolder the next reboot the system is rebooting again and again.
Could anyone help me?

You can not recook herald roms since they are protected.
There are no rgu files include so the rom will not work when you try to recook them.
If you want a german version, please pm me and as time allows I can cook one for the german folks,

Since ttran is on his deserved holiday, this strategy should work as well to generate a largely german (or other) ot7.x phone (Manilla2D):
download the german file in the manilla 2D language thread:

Copy all the unzipped files to the windows folder (this will overwrite the english language in 409 with the 407 information without needing to change the registry). Works nicely for me.

I guess yes WM6.5 is more thumb frndly and eye catching ... secondly there is no WM6.5 Pro v4.1, in my ROMs versions are of ROMs not WM6.5 so WM6.5 is recognized by builds and is still BETA

ive got loads of software and games and when i try your rom will i need to get all my software again or is there a way to save it?
if i had them installed on my memory card will that work?

Nopz, you install any new ROM and you lose all you had before

I have upgraded from wm5 to wm 6.5,and some old apps I have on my mem.card still works,u just have to find in the program folder on mem.card the .exe file of the app u have,then copy,then go to the device memory,windows folder,and find the folder where are the links of the start menu.then use comand "paste link" or "paste as shortcut".I used resco file explorer for this,and my msdict is working great.

I know this is possible, but some apps wont work because they need reg keys also

[SOLUTION] Update:New JBlend from HD Mini (WM6.5.X issue fixed) How to install JBlend

I couldn't find this anywhere so I assume no one has posted something like this before.
I flashed my HD2 to Miri's v1.2 ROM and found out I didn't have JBlend anymore. Since I could't find any other JVM that could run Opera Mini as good as JBlend (at least visually) I tried to use the package that came with ROM 1.48 and make a CAB. Unfortunately it didn't install. I removed all the files from my CAB and left the registry parts in it and it installed. I did try to apply the registry changes by importing the reg files but there seemed to a problem and all the 3 registry editors I used said "import finished" and nothing was imported. The CAB however does the job.
So for anyone trying to have the JBlend version that came with the HD2 without flashing another ROM, try this:
1. Unzip all the files in the .zip file to \Windows
AND
2. Install the attached CAB (on the device)
To get the shortcut in start menu, create a shortcut called "JBlend.lnk" pointing to "\Windows\JBlend_AMS.exe" and place it in "\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Tools"
(or wherever you want, only, the nice .png icon won't show if it's not in Tools)
Update (March 31st, 2010)
I replaced the files with the ones from the JBlend version that comes with the HD Mini (Photon). Now there's no problem with screen alignment in 6.5.X ROMs anymore.

it lets u run java programs on windows mobile

you guys can try out this too!
is working on my Miri's ROM.
It creates an icon for Opera Mini, making it work like an app.
however, it is buggy sometimes. When u change the input to full screen edit, you cannot press OK or Cancel after typing. This is the only major issue i faced so far.

hum... what exactly is the porblem?
make sure you copy all the files from the .zip file to your \Windows folder and then install the cab, soft reset and now you should be able to run JBlend_AMS.exe from the windows folder.
can anyone else also try this?

Hi, Mighty, got to thank you for the sharing. It works perfectly for mine and has resovled a big problem after I had flashed my rom.

Opera Mini works again on Miri 2.3 ExtraLight Rom.
