Help, After Big Storage, Cannot Flash back to Original ROM! - JAM, MDA Compact, S100 Software Upgrading

Sorry, but I cannot find the answer to my problem anywhere.
After flashing my ROM to Big storage, I cannot flash back to an original ROM. I have tried a number of different ROM but I always get error message at 20% of Extended ROM flashing.
Using Cotulla WM6.1 ROM I only get to 90% (which I think is roughly equivalent to the 20% of Extended ROM upgrade above) and then I get the same error message.
Help Please! I want to upgrade to Cotullas ROM.

Try SD flashing:

Help! Upgrade Failed, "EXTROM ERROR"

I just tried to upgrade my MDA Compact from German ROM to English ROM. Downloaded the latest O2 Asia English ROM from FTP, then used NoID EXE to upgrade.
After step 1 of upgrading Radio was completed, error message 'EXTROM Upgrade Error' raised, then, the MDA only stayed in Bootloader. No matter matter how many times I re-tried, it failed before step 2 of upgrading the Extended ROM.
I tried SD Card Flashing method. But it was no way to read the ROM (with using Romupdate.exe) successfully.
Anybody could help? Really need your advice. Thanks!
Be sure your battery is fully loaded. I think, that was my problem when I tried to upgrade. During bootloader mode, your Magician will NOT charge through the USB Cable.

I used a fully charged battery (charged by another MDA) for upgrade. Problem still existed. Any further suggestion? Thanks!
Nope, maybe you can try another ROM?
BTW.Did you charge it between creating your ROM backup and your upgrade? Cause creating a backup also cost battery power, and if you don't charge between the failures, your battery will also be drained. I finally let my battery charge for about 1,5 hours on the normal adapter and after that mine did work. But like I said, maybe you should try a different ROM.
I tried several different ROMs, but failed again and again. Even using SD flashing method, error of 'Download Fail' occurred after pressing Power button to try to load the ROM image from the prepared SD card.
Any help there? Is my MDA totally dead?
I tried at least 5 different language ROMs, but failed all the time.
Seems there is no way out.
Hic ! I have the same error, so my XDA mini dead too ! hic
anybody can help me ??
Hmm. The one thing I can think of is that seems to happen if you try flashing a device *with the SIM card still inside*. Take out the sim card - heck, take out the memory card as well, unless you're using *that* to flash, and try again.
Funnily enough, I didn't run into this problem while I was on my old Mini, both original ROMs and BigStorage - but I see this quite often when trying to flash my Atom (message "Extended Rom Format Fail").
What I did was to ensure everything 'cept the battery was out, and to keep on trying until it goes right past flashing 6% of the extROM. >_>
(BTW: if you can find it, and don't mind having to go CAB hunting, go BigStorage. IIRC you'll skip the extROM bit. Eheh.)

Reparing corrupted ext rom

Hello There.
Im a G4 unlocked SIM / CID User. I just flashed latest TNT 5.0 ROM. ( Which is great). However somehow my ext rom became corrupted. I already downloaded the latest Official ROM from HTC (cingular 8125) and for some reason the flashing process hangs at the half and the program crahes, of course, i reset my device and it comes to the rainbow screen so i flash it again with wizard love to resurrect it.
However when i flash again another ROM like TNT 5.0 and error is show showint "not enough storage memory..." but i have abput 40 MB free. So this is how i know my ext rom is corrupted.
My question is. How do i repair my corrupted ext rom?? Is there a way to flash only an empty ext rom?? As i said i cannot flash into an oficial ROM because the process crashes.
What can i do?? Any suggestion will be greatly appreciated.

I will let you know if this correct the problem.
Thanks a lot !!!!
Actually it didnt work !
Well i just flashed that empty ext rom but the problem persists. The error message is still being showed randomly "Your phone is running low on free stroage space...".
I just flashed the empty ext rom, but i didnt flash any other complete ROM again.
mmh... im a little bit lost and confused why is this message being shown
Go to the TNT 5.0 thread, look at post # 3 under "new foundations" 5th bullet down! It will tell you how to fix this!
Flash the official WM5 ROM from your carrier, then flash TNT ROM

Help my cooked rom always fails at 25%

I'm trying to create a factory standard HTC three uk rom as there doesn't appear to be one already cooked. I followed the wiki guides to dump and cook my rom. However when flashing it always fails at 25% any ideas? i have re-tried cooking and flashing several times, still same error.
info
The rom is wm6.0 and radio 1.27.15.32
before flashing i successfully flashed my device with L26's new throttle rom (beta 6)
Do you get an error message when it fails?
Thanks
Dave
sorry for the late reply i re-flashed tonight as i could not remember error, its error 262 "the rom update utility encountered communication errors during the update process"
Sorry to ask but, have you installed Hard SPL yet?
Dave
yes i ran hard spl version 1 before flashing, i have sucessfully flashed other roms just not the one i cooked

unable to flash original ROM

Hi,
when I try to flash the original 6.5 ROM for my HTC Snap, flashing continues to 13%, then the phone restarts, then flashing continues to 26% and then the phone hangs until a Error-Message appears on the Desktop (Error 262). HardSPL 1.17 is on the phone.
After half an hour of desperation (and some more efforts) I tried to flash 3VO-ROM again (I already used the newest version before) - and thanks god that worked.
But I would like to give the original ROM a try. Any hints?
[Thread can be deleted - found same problem after posting the message, sorry ]
For reference: hardSPL causes this behaviour. If you flash back to the stock SPL stock ROMs flash fine.

sensation 4g kernel ...

i think this is about kernel issue to solve this... i cant use the flash of my phone and it says, "unable to use due to cold weather"... and when i charge my phone, the status of battery after 20 sec. is "discharging"... please, help... i'am using the latest insert coin rom... or what rom do you preffer? and sometimes it overheats... hope you help me with this issue... thanks
anyone?? pls help me...
Hi, You could do the following (these steps are the usual generic steps worth trying):
1. Try out another battery, to ensure it's not a battery issue.
2. Charge the battery fully and then for an additional 1 hour. Go to recovery and wipe battery stats. See if this helps
3. If step 2 doesn't help, check the firmware version and make sure it's the latest required by your ROM. If not flash the correct firmware
4. If firmware is correct, take a nandroid backup and try flashing a different kernel (like faux, sebastian or bricked kernel)
5. If nothing works, take a nandroid backup and try another ROM (would suggest trying Android Revolution HD).
