The bottom 1/8th portion of my screen is wigging out. It's like the pixels are stuck. A screen shot doesn't show it, but an image of the S2U2 unlock bar is halfway stuck and it is flashing. The screen shows what it's supposed to, but there is that ghost of the image there over everything.
I'm using EnergyROM 3.0 and have reflashed. I may have to send it in.
Same Problem
Same problem here, im running Da-G Clean 6.5 ROM but no S2U2... do you have the ati driver installed? I have a feeling its a mix between that and 6.5 rather than a hardware issue....?

Hi all,
I have noticed that my screen seems to get the burn effect at the bottom (where the menu is in TouchFLO) most the time its not really noticeable until you slide the keypad. It dissapears if the phones been off for a while but considering the phone goes into standby and the screen doesnt stay on dont really know why this is happening.
Would you consider RMA'ing? just cant really do without the phone
I think I have noticed the same thing... it's a bug, not a hardware issue... try to softreset the phone and then look closely to that area
Same here
indeed, soft reset works. There is also an uglier version of screen distortion - when I browse to internet page that contains many flash applets (displayed by Adobe Flash Lite plug) Then I have a full screen flooding/chaotic/psychedelic (maybe more adjectives ) effect similar to my pre-previous laptop with broken lcd cables. I can stop it by turning off screen/suspending by the top button and turning it on again. It might appear then again but usually doesn't. Weird, not a problem for me though.
I got my replacement Fuze from AT&T and as soon as I did, I flashed WM6.5 on it. And now I noticed that a few things from landscape view are burned in on my screen, and you can only tell when its closed [portrait view]. The very bottom of the screen, just big enough for the left/right soft touch buttons, flashes constantly. And I can see the X for closing a window and the time burned in from when it was in landscape view.
It did this before and went away and now its back. What do I do to fix it? Get it replaced again?
im not sure what actually causes that but i dont think its real screen burn in. ive had it happen and go away. its something weird with tf3d maybe?
Sometimes I have seen 'Action' and 'Camera' burnt in at the bottom in portrait view, but it's not always visible, and don't see it often
Try turning teh screen brightness way down

I have only had this happen once and it was when I had the screen brightness all the way up. I turned the brightness way down and after about 30 minutes the ghost images went away (gradually).
Hope this helps.
Turn the phone off and take the battery out for a couple minutes. Worked for me.
It seems like a software issue to me, because also when I go to landscape view sometimes, the icons are all distorted. Looks like I'll be going back to WM6.1 for a bit, until I can find a stable 6.5.
The other day, I hit the power button on my touch pro, and the screen didn't come on. I did a soft reset, and it started working again. Now today, the same thing is happening, but a soft reset isn't helping.
The screen's back light comes on, the LEDs on the buttons come on, and the phone seems to be working fine. I hear all the sounds, including the HTC sound while it is booting, and the new message sound, but the screen stays black. It still recognizes touches, it just doesn't show an image. I want to do a hard reset, and will if I can get it to come one one more time, but its been about a month since I backed up my contact list. Lesson learnt there. I'm afraid it might be a hardware problem since I don't see anything while its booting either.
Anyone know if this is a known hardware issue with the touch pro? The phone is less then 3 months old, and I've been real careful with it. I haven't dropped it from more then 2 feet, and even that was onto carpet. Its the Verizon version if that makes a difference, and I'm running one of the NFSFAN roms. Its not the newest one, but rather the one posted on October 19th. I doubt its the rom, though, as I've been using it for around 2 months with no issues.
EDIT: Ok, I went into the bootloader to see if it was hardware of software. I figured if it was hardware, the screen would be black, and if it was software, it would be the rainbow. Sure enough, the screen stayed black. Hit the reset button, and the screen actually came on! Go figure. Went to do a backup, and the screen literally crapped out on me while I was watching it. Definitely a hardware problem.
similar with Touch HD... kinda
I've been having a similar problem with my Touch HD. The problem is very intermittent though and is sometimes hard to reproduce. The screen and phone will be working fine then once in a while when I push the power button to lock the phone, I'll unlock it and the screen stays black. I know that the phone is still on and even unlocked because pushing the buttons at the bottom makes the phone vibrate. The only consistency in reproducing the problem happens after I do something major on the phone such as making a phone call, browsing the internet, sometimes charging the phone. Other than that, I can sit here and push the power button all day and it'll come on and off with no problems. When the screen does go black I've taken the battery out repeatedly as well as repeatedly rebooted the phone until it comes back on. I've tried doing hard and soft resets to no avail. I've tried deactivating "turn off backlight if device is not used for" and "turn off device if not used for" without any resolve. After this I've even left the screen on (disabled backlight off) to see if it flickers or shows any sign of being faulty and it seems to be fine. I'm currently on Dutty's HD WM 6.5 Leo R5 WWE rom, but this has happened with two other roms (NRG, LIA). Other info include:
OS: 5.2.23016
Manila: 2.519192828.0
Radio: 1.14.25.24
Protocol: 52.64.25.34H
I guess the only consistent software has been my radio. Please help! Any advice would be awesome. I've tried google search and xda search without much help. Thanks
Hello there,
I have problem with my screen alignment.. ASUS P535. It repeats again and again.. I updated my ROM and nothing happend. Then I've changed digitizer on my LCD. It worked, but for 1 time. When fresh copy of ROM started. Screen alignment was correct. When I've got loaded my WM device restarted and asked to align screen. And nothing happend. And it again repeats.. What should I do now? Maybe is there a way to upload screen align file direct to my ASUS P535? Or any other suggestions..
This happened to my bother-in-law on his omnia. he had it replaced 3 times. 3 devices, 3 bad screens after a few weeks each. The alignment was way off, and if he hard reset.. he got stuck on the alignment screen and could not go past it.
Tapping all 4 corners and then the center should all line up perfect or it will repeat until it's right. If the screen is messed up.. (Not registering the taps accurately) this would cause your problem.
I know you replaced your digitizer, but I think you have bad hardware.
did you notice the screen was not accurate before this happened?
Yes. It was not accurate. Half screen from top was accurate, but other half not.. I had to tap screen ~1cm lower to hit correct 'button'.
Ok.. If hardware is broken. So then which part? Or just I'll take my device to pro to fix it.. If it will be possible..
I also used Remote Screen Alignment software. It solved align problem, WM is working, but everywhere I tap, it taps bottom right corner.
Hi all,
I bought a second hand Raphael on eBay. The previous owner said he flashed WinMo 6.5 and a HardSPL. Something seems to have gone wrong somewhere, because WinMo starts up and shows the welcome screen and then the touchscreen alignment dialogue over and over. As soon as I touch all five points, the alignment process starts again.
I have already re-flashed WinMo 6.5 an 6.1 with the same results. I have also added a WELCOME.NOT file and tried a soft reset. The file just disappears after the reboot.
The boot loader says as version numbers:
R 1.14.25.05
R 52.63.25.34u
D 5.00.00.00
I'd be glad for any pointers. Maybe a pre-calibrated rom?
Also, I actually want to run Android on the little fellow. Could I just try to flash LightNHB and run Android from there?
Thanks for your help.
Regards,
Kevin
That's not the bootloader screen numbers, but I don't think that's the problem. It may just be a crappy rom on there. Getting to the alignment screen is a good sign that the device isn't bricked. I would say just flash another rom; use one of the android-starter roms if that's what you want on there.
Thanks for the answer, unfortunately it seems the touch screen is broken
I managed to install Android using LightNHB, worked a treat. Androids calibration screen seemed to take all five poinst, but the coordinates it printed out where all on the same y-coordinate. The touch screen doesn't work in Android after that (I mean, how could it ).
I'll have a look around to see if I can buy a new screen for cheap.
