Hi!
I have JF 1.42 RC 33 with root enabled on my G1 from polish network Era.
Then I've decided to switch to JF 1.5 ADP, so first I've installed radio update from htc web page and after this i 've installed 1.5. After succesfull instalation my phone restarts after few minutes and loops on android logo. It is immposible to switch it off. I can only take off battery. Only way to use it once again is to go to recovery mode, then wipe it, and install JF 1.5 one more time. But after this my phone once again is working till first reboot. I've tryied JF 1.5, the Dudes and Hayakuro updatesl but it is same situation. Reboot and loop on android logo.
Now I have JF 1.43 RC9 and new radio 2.22. I've also tryied to install one more time radio update and JF 1.5 update, but it doesn't help. What elsa I can do?
Also I have newest version on Hard SPL. But I did't changed it since I've rooted phone.

i tried to update my g1 by downloading the jf 1.41 rc 33 and change it to update.zip and when i put them in after the update it rebooted and then it keep flashes the android icon and im stuck there please help what i did wrong?
are you sure you downloaded rc33? not adp1.1 or rc8? which one did you have before?
yes and now i tried to ipdate the radio my phone bricked i cant turn them on

yes i did is there like buttons i need to press for master reset or something?
I rooted my G1 and went from rc-29 to Jf 1.43 Holiday[http://jf.andblogs.net/2009/02/11/jfv143/] and everything works but i want to move on to hero or 2.0 or maybe motoblur or something. any rom i try to load the same way i got to "holiday" sends my phone into a never ending loop or sits @ the g1 screen so i just go back to the jf rom and wipe and reload it....can anyone help me? im not able to find any info on how to downgrade from a jf or move to a different rom.

There is a great guide over at http://wiki.cyanogenmod.com, but for the upgrade from jf is easy just follow the instruction's over here at http://wiki.cyanogenmod.com/index.php/How_to_upgrade_from_JesusFreke_1.5. Hope this helps.

so i have a mytouch 3g with the perfected SPL (i believe ... says HBOOT-1.33.0006 when I check the version with back+power) and I've been using AmonRa's 1.6.2 rom for quite some time now.
I have been looking to upgrade to the Eclair roms floating around the forums which states that it requires a newer SPL so I downloaded the Engineering SPL 1.33.2010 along with the new rom
My question is (after some research) can i just boot into recovery mode and flash the new SPL that way? or is the only way the goldcard way?
You can just flash from the recovery images, but make sure the spl is completed and then he upgrade let me know how it goes

OK so i got the ENG SPL to install with no problems, but I can't get the rom to install
i'm trying to use Eugene's v2.3 rom found here http://alldroid.org/viewtopic.php?f=130&t=515
it flashes, says install complete, but upon reboot, it loads the mytouch splash page, then about a minute or 2 later, it loads this strange screen with colors that form an X in the middle of the screen and keeps doing that ... i've never seen that before so I flashed back to the 1.6.2 ion rom i used prior
anyone have any ideas?
thats the boot screen...the first time i got it I had to wait 45min for it to finish loading the rom....restarts (after first boot) are quicker....just be patient...I suggest flashing + rebooting then going to sleep...wake up in the morn...if its still going then u have a prob.

yeah, tahts the screen...scared the crap out of me...doesn't make any sense to use an "X" as the boot screen as "X"s are a negative symbol ... i did wait it out, however, took about 5 minutes, but it worked!
I am now running on the 1.33.2010 ENG SPL with eugene's 2.1 rom and it is quite flawless (minus the fact that there's no camera). Hope the camera fix comes out soon!

I have just got a new HTC Dream and proceeded to do the following :
I started by flashing dreaimg.nbh drc 7, then a rooted using telnet following the instructions on cyanogen wiki. I then flashed the new radio 26i and the death spl. I have installed cyan 5.0.7t2 plus google apps.
Now however when I boot it up it is staying on the g1 boot up screen and not continuing. Earlier versions of cyanogen mod work but not 5.0.7 for some reason.
Any ideas?
i just had the same prob. im on moto droid. comming from droidmod 1.0 after reboot after flashin newest cgnmod it jut hangs on moto logo. went back to last backup
Cyan doesn't support the droid does it? :S

Make sure the death spl was installed and make sure to wipe before installing. Install cyan and then gapps without rebooting in between.
I usually have to install gapps after cyanogen. Some people before, some people after. It's kinda odd.
Also, for the droid, there is a cyanogenmod. Dunno if CM5 is on there yet, though. Don't really know anything about the Droid.
I read somewhere that there was a bug in 5.0.7 where you can't use the terminal method to install it, you have to use amon-ra recovery instead (I can't find the page anymore)
I think CM 5.0.8 fixes this
first and foremost am sorry for posting this here, am giving away my phone so thought i would unroot it and leave it with factory firware. i flashed the dreaimg just fine but when i do the update.zip and the phone reboots twice, it stays on the g1 screen. i tried differed dreaimg and updates like - signed-kila-ota-148830.de6a94ca.zip and the one found in theunlokr, but it still stays on the g1 screen. If i dont flash the update i can boot into the rc29 firware just fine, thanks in advance.

I left my phone alone for a few hours with RC33 to get the 1.5 update OTA, got it but phone froze @ g1 screen again... any info on this? anything else i can do? thanks.

Look down in the comments section about losing root. Just browsing through the forums and came across you post...not sure if this is the exact solution you need given your situation but I hope it helps.
well what i was trying to do is to unroot the phone, but after so many tests the phone will always stop at the G1 screen. I managed to get root back from RC29 and get back to superE. But not sure whats wrong with my phone, i noticed that some of the roms i flash will also stop at the G1 screen..... any idea whats the problem?
so far i've only tested 2 froyo roms and 3 donut.
superfly 1.3 - stop at boot
biffmod v6 - working
super D 1.9.3wesgarner - stop at g1 screen
super D 1.11 - working
superfast 1.3.3 - stop at g1 screen
i started noticing some roms will work and some would at g1 screen even before i tried to unroot my phone. I flashed succesfuly all donut roms mentioned before this problem started.
my phone: T-Mobile G1
radio : 2.22.23.02
spl : 1.33.2005
recovery : amon-ra- 1.7.0
my wipe method is, in recovery wipe all 5 > repair ext > fastboot erase system -w
not sure if am doing something wrong or why my phone not loading certain roms, please help.
