Installing rc29 on tc5-rc8 g1

Is rc30 the same as rc8, just us and uk versions.
Wondering if i can install the rc29 update.
RC8 is the UK version of RC30. If you have official RC8 then you can not root at this time. (or downgrade to any previous firmware)
cot damn google. So much more could be done with the phone if we had root access.

RC to ADP?

I am currently running JF 1.42(RC33) and would like to go to ADP for the purpose of creating themes. Is it as simple as downgrading to RC29 and then going up to ADP 1.1? I assume I would have to perform the entire process as if I were rooting from stock right?

you should be able to just flash the ADP1.1 firmware from RC33.

Can't Downgrade RC33 For Root Access

Hi there I am trying to downgrade rc33 with these instruction http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=442480
but can't make it go. I have copy the file rc29 (DREAIMG.NBH) like this and this (DREAIMG.nbh) also (DREAMIMG.NBH) and when accessing the bootloader it doesn't flash it stays ih the bootloader screen even hitting the power to begin the process. I have use 2 different memory card.
The reason I want to downgrade is to insatll the new JF ADP 1.5 update. Now do I need root access to update my stock rc33 or can I just update directly to the JF's new update? Thanks in advance for your help...
Ok I solve the problem with a third memory card. Thanks...

[Q] Rooted phone upgrade to OTA 2.3.4 ?

I rooted with the help of http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1192300 [S-Off / Root Guide].
Can I used the pushed out OTA upgrade to 2.3.4 ? otherwise how/what should I do to get it ?
Other then rooting it is stock...
Ok I never received any answer to this but that might be because the information is in the forums just need to find it.
In short this is what I did to get my Euro phone from 2.3.3 -> 2.3.4.
1. Downloaded the OTA update on the phone
2. Copied the OTA update to my local machine (linux in my case)
3. Unzipped the OTA update and the firmware.zip that was in it
4. adb reboot bootloader
5. fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
6. fastboot boot-bootloader
7. Selected reboot in the fastboot menu
8. Ran the OTA update on the phone and let it reboot to 2.3.3 - update <whatever>
9. When it was up again I did a search for new OTA update and ran that too
10. When it was up-to-date with Android 2.3.4 I followed the S-OFF/ClockWork mod thread
Step 1 to 7 is more or less from this thread with the alternation that I use the OTA update.
This got be to HBOOT 1.17.1111 Revolutionary, ClockWork mod and Root
I'm not sure but I've read you can skip the hboot switch and still get root and clockwork but I figured better safe then sorry....
And I will not be responsible if you follow this and your phone good kaboom and becomes bricked or your house burns down and your wife decides to leave you!
Do not use this as a guide.. just letting you know how I got the 2.3.4 update on MY phone.

Need to pick up this OTA but trapped by ROOT

There is an available OTA that is only available OTA. I believe this is the update that includes VOLTE. I'm rooted and have flashed TWRP. Even when I do a factory reset my phone is still flagged as being suspected of root, therefore I can't receive the update. Does anyone know where I can either find a stock rom to flash that has no root flag or perhaps another work around.
Android version 5.0.1
Kernel 3.4.0
Build LRX21Y
Software D85020f
That's all my software info. I'd really appreciate any help and I won't forget to thank you
If you have the software update prompt you should be able to update but will lose root. For safety flash stock recovery then run the update. If you dont have an att sim you may have to borrow one or buy a prepaid.

It's not a prompt but when I go to software update it says there is a new version available. It goes through the entire DL and install and at the end rejects it and says "You're device is suspected of rooting."
Even after doing the factory recovery it returned the same message. That's why I need a stock rom to flash so the system won't think it's ever been rooted.

Some people has been able to update with the stock debloated rom from cmulk. But thats why need to remove teto by flashing stock recovery. If you are still unable to update you have no other choice but flash stock 10d via LG FLASHING TOOL.
That's what I did. There is oneclick root for lollipop now though once you're updated.
