RC to ADP? - G1 Android Development

I am currently running JF 1.42(RC33) and would like to go to ADP for the purpose of creating themes. Is it as simple as downgrading to RC29 and then going up to ADP 1.1? I assume I would have to perform the entire process as if I were rooting from stock right?

you should be able to just flash the ADP1.1 firmware from RC33.

Installing rc29 on tc5-rc8 g1

Is rc30 the same as rc8, just us and uk versions.
Wondering if i can install the rc29 update.
RC8 is the UK version of RC30. If you have official RC8 then you can not root at this time. (or downgrade to any previous firmware)
cot damn google. So much more could be done with the phone if we had root access.

if you flash a t-mobile image on a dev phone, can you go back ?

title says it all ..
Yes. You'll have to flash from the bootloader using fastboot though. Make a NAND backup of the original DP1 system software before flashing the T-Mo so you can revert with fastboot later.
Alternately, flash JF's modified RC30, which will give all the functionality of official system software and still allow you to revert to DP1 software from the recovery.

When I Get My G1

Can't Downgrade RC33 For Root Access

Hi there I am trying to downgrade rc33 with these instruction http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=442480
but can't make it go. I have copy the file rc29 (DREAIMG.NBH) like this and this (DREAIMG.nbh) also (DREAMIMG.NBH) and when accessing the bootloader it doesn't flash it stays ih the bootloader screen even hitting the power to begin the process. I have use 2 different memory card.
The reason I want to downgrade is to insatll the new JF ADP 1.5 update. Now do I need root access to update my stock rc33 or can I just update directly to the JF's new update? Thanks in advance for your help...
Ok I solve the problem with a third memory card. Thanks...

How do I update from B507 to the latest "official" build on H60-L04?

Title. Afraid of bricking the thing just by flashing the latest on top of the beta. Rooted, twrp.
You need to get rid of TWRP and restore the original recovery. After that you should be able to just update from the beta to the final version. Unless you have made any strange modifications to your system... You WILL lose root.
