Windows Mobile 6 Profesional Vanilla Edition By ANTC
Well I know theres many Chefs out here...But I pretty much made the ROM how I'd like it and released it
First off thanks to MuN for baserom and keyboard, double_ofour for his great kitchen, Faria for his Camera, Anichillus for the Microphone fix, Mfrazz for his settings OEM package and help, and nottoosmart for a few fixes.
The loader does hang on 100 percent and the WM6 Splash screen for a while. It's normal nothing is wrong.
There is no Splash Screnns, IPL SPL OR GSM..So it should work for G4s
I think I may be the youngest chef on XDA..I'm only 15.

Thats my reghack (well, I found it in a thread here but have adjusted the value down from what was posted here in other threads):
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\HTC\AUDIOGAIN]
"EAC_GAIN_EMBEDDED"=dword:00000077
I personally have used this for a couple of months. I keep my ringtone setting (with this tweak) at the mid point level and its a little louder than my phone used to be on a stock rom with it turned all the way up. I only turn it higher than that if I'm going to be outside or in a somewhat noisy setting. I just like the fact this gives me the option for a LOUD ringtone when I want it.
Default setting is 6D I believe. The thread I found this in was setting it to 7D. I played around with from 70 to 7D and settled on 77. For my phone, it gives me a loud ringtone that doesn't sound distorted (like 7D did) and was loud enough for me.
As for ruining your speakers... Who knows. IF you run with it cranked to the top all the time, it may just do that. Like I said, I only run with my phone at half volume and it works fine for me. (Its funny, since doing this, even at half volume, my kids will jump when the ringtone goes off as it is definetly louder ). If I'm in a quiet place, I'll turn it down to just 1 click before off or 2 clicks for a "normal" volume ringtone.
wonder how that will work with the new photo contacts 5 because PC5 seems to love over running system settings for sound

Why don't you guys use the slider for louder ringtones ?
It's easyer ...when you're in a noisy place, move it up, when home or other place, just lower the slider....that easy.

What do you mean? On my personal phone on a stock default rom, if I set the ringtone to max, its not loud enough for me (Guess I'm older and past rock concerts have finally taken a toll on my hearing ;-). So I use this reg hack to have it so that the ringtone is louder, but yes I use the slider to adjust how loud overall it will be. I'll set it to about the mid point in most cases, then adjust it up and down if its a quiet room or a noisy one. But I find the default settings not loud enough on my 8125. Maybe other Wizards have a better volume, but everyone at my office with an 8125 has implemented this reghack as they all hate the default volume level, and this fixes that.
what is the reg hack that you use again?

You know that when idle, if you press the volume boubble, the slider under the phone actually controlls loudness of the ringtone and if you access it from within a call or from the call menu, it controlls the in call loudness (that's the one that doesn't work actually)
Hope it helps .

Yes, I know how the volume slider works, and what each of the different volume controls do. I think people are missing the point and seem to assume I don't know what ringtone volume is. I've explained myself twice in this thread. If you don't like or want the tweak then don't use it. Its something I like and I use. ANTC picked it up from me when he asked for the tweaks I put it in Crossbow Reloaded. I won't comment on this anymore as its dragging this thread off topic, and I've made my points for why I use it (whether people think I know how to use the controls or not). My last comment is, that maybe your phone ringtone volumes are louder, but on the 8125, I don't think they are very loud even with the ringtone (and all other volumes sliders) turned full blast. YMMV

I didn't meant to offend you . Sorry if you felt that way. I said it because my Wiza sounds horibly loud when setting that slider to the top. Stereospeakers or not, the sound doesn't compare to the SonyEricsson W series, actually is awfull in my opinion. But one thing you're right and this is offtopic. so
Sorry ANTC
Hi! Pals:
I got 1 problem to ask you.
when set my faverite song as aringtone, the vibration seem vitrating continuesly untill the song finish. I don't like that way, I want my phone vibrate like nokia phone.
thanks!
maybe you should add how it is that nokia phones vib's
in rings there are various options i'm not sure what you are wanting for
the lastest nokia I have (a 3330) .. vibrate based on the tune you've set, but that's the polytone thing.. which is 'learnable'. Much more difficult for a mp3.
Anyway, dont think you can do much on WM phone on the vibrate issues. You can have shorter.. I think, but still it will vibrate until your song ends.
is there any software helping on that ugly vibration of PPC?

At the moment the volume control only has 5 levels of volume. I'd like to have smaller increments if possible. When i'm listening to music it's either too quiet or too loud so i'd like a level inbetween.
You can use your finger on the volume screen to give smaller increments, not sure if that helps or not!
Thanks for the suggestion but i've already tried that and it's still only at five different levels. I'm using the omega ROM though. Wasn't a problem before but this ROM changes the volume screen and other ones i've installed still only have five volume levels.
Volumex allows up to 16 leves for the speaker
http://volumex.jdbp.mobi
what the OP is asking... is if there is a way... perhaps a registry edit or something along those lines.. which will make the volume raise/lower in smaller increments... downloading a whole new volume application is not a fix/solution... he is looking for a why to keep the manilla/sense version of the volume interface and tweak it from there... i know this, because i was looking for the same thing a while back.. but to no avail... so yea.. sorry OP... unless you want to use a completely different volume interface... you're kinda stuck... just get used to it... that's what i did

You can use THIS app to add your music app to the allowed list for use of the smaller 'media volume' control (the volume control you get on the sense music tab etc). This has more, smaller increments so you have more control.
Thanks pckshd I was looking for a program like this. Sweet

HA HA. With a name like pckshd do you happen to work for or be the creator of PocketShield and Volumex LOL. You've recommended PocketShield and Volumex a few times in the past.
Hey! then man asked for more volume levels, volumex has that (and even more features he might find interesting). Was just a tip

I also found this tip very useful, i have searched this kind of cab for a long time. Thanks pckshd.
There is possibly a free (or at least not a trial) solution in post 6^^^^^^
Hello guys,
I have an issue with the system sounds being really low. Not an overall audio problem, for video and gaming the sound is pretty good, but for things like the screen lock/unlock, keyboard typing etc it is very very low. I already checked the sounds parameters and they are all at the max.
does any one have the same problem or knows how to fix it?
Thanks!!
you could try this
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1411317
Try this. It's a fix for the balance, but you can also pump up the volume....
Hello,
I have Samsung Galaxy S7 which is on stock ROM v6.0.1.
Does anyone know how to adjust keyboard sound volume?
I really like the tones it makes when typing, but it's just too loud; I have already tried to reduce system/notifications/media volumes but it doesn't apply to the keyboard.
Please advice.
Thanks in advance.
I don't think there is anyway to do that but please for the love of god turn off the sound! It drives every single person around you nuts! Plus it helps drain your battery quicker by producing unneeded sounds every time you hit a key.
