Lost FlashROM in Navman S50 - General Topics

Hello everyone!!! (1st post here, though I sometimes read around)...
I lost my flash disk in my Navman S50 (actually, I messed it up myself: low level formatted it and didn't repartition before restarting S50).
My S50 starts with the little WinCE 5.0 core it has. I can have access to the SD card within my PC (via USB) and within WinCE (via FilemanCE or TotalCommander), but I don't have access to the Flash disk..
How can I recover that (if anyhow)?

No one can help?

I guess nobody can help this time

I guess you can try to do a rom update if you know how..
best of luck with that!

Format ROM memory

Hi all,
I'm french, so excuse my bad englsih.
I had a Pocket PC on Windows Mobile 2003 First Edition and i backup my system to my ROM memory. After a new ROM installation (Windows 2003 Second Edition), i can't see this backup file in ROM, and now i have only 1Mo in ROM Memory.
How can i erase the old backup file ? Total Commander & Co can't see the file also...
Thanks a lot for you help !
Regards,
Bertrand
Please specify exactly what device do you have.
(I am not familiar with devices that got upgraded from 2003 to 2003SE)
The reason you cant see your backup is because its gone. When you reflash your device (upgrade the ROM) the File Store (where you save stuff you don't want deleted during hard reset) is also formatted. The reason you only have 1 MB storage left could be one of two things:
A) The new ROM takes more space.
B) Something went wrong during the upgrade and the ROM was not properly partitioned.
NOTE:
There is no way to recover this data. It is recommended that you backup important stuff to SD card or your PC (ActiveSync has a backup function).
I have a PDA, a "Yakumo Alpha GPS" (equal to "Acer N35").
Yesterday, I installed wrong ROM to try to free ROM Storage, and the install have been down. So, I reinstall Windows Moblie Seconde Edition, and now my ROM Storage is 0.2 MO. (
So, yes, I think that an installation was down one week ago, and that's why i had less ROM Storage.
PLease, tell me it's possible to recover my ROM Storage...
Hi beber49!
I am not sure of the details, but I can point you in the right direction and after some searching you should have the solution:
Find a device with the original ROM, there are instructions in the wiki on how to backup ROM to SD then restore. I think if you manage to reflash your device with the original ROM you might get your storage back.
But be careful: If the reflash is not done properly, you may loose all of the free storage or even kill the device.
Sorry, that's all I have. Hope someone gives you a better idea!
i tryed that but no way to see these file...

[Q] Samsung duos i8262

Hi All,
I've i8262 without an external SD card & lots of images & videos were there on the phones internal memory.
For some reason (a kid accendentally) factory reset the phone & all this data is lost.
I've tried to use some of the recovery tools like Recuva, Android data recovery, Remo recover, Wonder share etc & all of this did not recognise the Internal memory connected in MTP (Portable media player). Only other option is connect as Camera. There is no way to connect as a USB (for a drive letter to get assigined), that above softwares could detect & recover.
I thought rooting the phone, I could get a drive letter but the 50+ webpages I've checked told to install only one software Framaroot (latest 1.9.3) which has got a Trojan virus. Theres no other tool to root it I've seen.
So, Is there a way I can recover all the lost data after factory reset & how can I root it first(any other software)?
Android version: 4.1.2
New to this group, so posted the question in general. Please move it to the appropriate one, if this isnt appropriate.

[Completed] Problem with NAND storage on RK 312x

Being my first post on this huge place, I wanna thank all of the people that stands here and provide help support and wisdom for all of us who are new on the site, AND in the scene.
That said, my need:
I have a Tablet PC running 4.4.4 kitkat android device, with 312x rockchip processor, 1 gb ram, 8 gb rom, usb and micro usb, mini hdmi, bluetooth and wifi connectivity. I wanted to change the internal storage capacity, since like all chinese tablets, haas a 1 gb (0.98 gb to be precisely) and 6 gb of nand storage (5,28 aprox, i cant remember now, you will see next why). I wanted to change the parameter file so i can gain more space on the main storage (where apps are installed, as you may know), but there was no change. Suddenly, after a few tries, when it finished the booting process, now running the kitkat, in settings appear that the nand storage cannot mount, and every time i try to do it, it fails as it says "the nand storage can be safely removed". Now then, i have a 0.98 storage in the system, but no nand storage, so i cannot install nothing to the nand storage. I installed TWRP generic rom but for recovery only, and it works, but since the nand seems to be corrupted, i cannot modify at all nothing.
To modify the parameter file i dumped the entire rom of every single part of the tablet: system, kernel, cache, etc. With parameter file in hand, i used an hex calculator to modify values and gain the storage i needed (3 gb in internal, whatever it left to the nand storage) but nothing happened. Could the nand be corrupted? i still have the roms and the parameter as it was installed, tried to reinstall via batchtool 1.37 but there was no change.
Any help will be welcome and support will be thankful.
Thank you for reading this.

[Completed] Lenovo Miix 2 8 Boot from SD card

Good day! I am attempting a Remix OS on SD card dual boot for my Miix tablet. I have the 32G version w/ windows10 installed on it. For obvious reasons, I cannot install Remix OS on the internal flash, but I really want to play with this. The Lenovo appears completely unable to boot from the SD card unless it contains WINPE files, and it does not support legacy bios. The only configurable options are secureboot (on/off) and USB debug (on/off).
I heard people have had luck with GRUB type bootloaders, but much of the info on it is not applicable or not updated to deal with uSD cards/Windows10 UEFI. Grub2 appears promising, but I have to be honest in saying there is little info on the subject, and the only places I have been able to find it is incorporated in an Ubuntu install which I am not interested in. I am assuming I'd need to create a partition with a "which partition do you wanna boot from." This seems very basic, but is at this time out of my skill level.
Does anybody know if booting to the SD card on this is possible? Any help would be appreciated.
