Card initialize is fail!

Hi guys
I've been searching for some days on google and this forum but I can't seem to find the solution to this: every time I try to download my ROM with d2s (romupdate) I get a "Card initialize is fail!"
I've got a Qtek S100 with a 256MB MMC card.
Anyone any clue what I'm not seeing?
Thanks
Mark
Is it an MMC card that you're using, or SD?
It is a MMC as I said in the original question, is that the problem?
Regards
Mark
MMS and SD have different protocols and to be honest I never headr anyone who used the romupdate program with an MMC card. It would be worth trying an SD card I think.
You need an SD card. It doesnt work with an MMC. Even I have tried. MMCs dont work for ROM dumping/upgrade.
Thanks for pointing that out. I'll try again!
Hope this posts helps for others

Sure did - tried reformatting MMC card using NetX Flash Format at various different formats - all to no avail.
Is there any other way to dump a ROM without have an SD card to hand?
I've got 4 MMC cards - and the idea of buying another card just for ROM updates seems such a waste.

Getting a dump rom off the mini sd card.

I have a dump of wim6 that I want to transfer off the transflash card. I have been doing a lot of reading around the entire forum regarding this. Most people say once you backup using the r2sd method your windows machine will no longer read the sd card. True, sorta. There's a hex editor out there that can read the disk and this is the method you can use to extract content. The information I have found is vague and sparce but it does seem possible. Does anyone have any experience with this and can you guide me?
Thanks much!

well, first you need to partition your sd card, there are several ways to do so :
- partition magic (for windows) : Google will help
- Gparted (linux) : also Google
- with a recovery (know that RA-recovery can do it, guess CWM too )
find info about the layout you need on the forums.. (probably one of the sticky threads at the top in 'Android Development')
once you completed this, use whatever A2SD+ rom you want, should work out of the box (if not, check the rom-thread, it WILL be in there..)
hope this helps you a bit what to look for (there are enough threads that explain everything..)

Plain and simple you can't. The internal storage is not like a galaxy device or other phones with internal sdcard storage. The internal 4GB is ONLY for the /data/ partition where apps are stored.
P.S. this has been covered many, many times, as always answered this same way.
P.S. I just did a search for internal storage and found the following threads that also give this same info.

so on and so forth....
