Strange Icon in top bar - Touch Pro, Fuze General

Hey,
I hard reset my phone the other day as i messed it up to go to a fresh install of NatF's 4.4
Ever since i ahve an icon in the top bar which looks like a batter with a plug going into it. This is always there and the phone is not even plugged in. How can i get rid of it?, what does it mean? - It was there on my previous install of this rom.
Also, the icons in the programs and settings menus are small, especially the text. I used to get 3 icons to a line but now get 4? - which is normal?
Thanks
Regards,
Neil

Hi Neil,
Not sure about the battery icon in your task bar but the norm is 3 icons per row in Settings and Programs. If you want to change it back to 3, NATF has a custom cab for it in his thread here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=469450#4
If you want to make the font on the icons bigger, use Schap's Advanced Config and under "User Interface" change: "Icon title font size" default is 6 on NATF's roms.
You're still on 4.4? You know he released 4.6 today.

yeh, I would upgrade but it takes ages to reinstall all my apps and the main thing is setting everything to how I like it! - so many small options hidden everywhere which take ages to alter and fix to my liking

Toolbar utulity

Hi all,
Can you help me find this utility I used to have?
It would display your running programs in the top toolbar and would display the battery power as a bar along the top of the screen (and keep the clock in the top right corner).
I can't remember what it was called, and lost it when I dropped my old XDA Exec.
Have new Exec - and would like to reload this really useful bit of kit.
Have searched on the web, but to no avail...
Ta,
Mike.
Levenum's was a superb one, and I think it also got mashed up by someone else after.

V
Cheers for that - Magic Button was the one...
When I installed it on my XDA, it automatically put the battery bar on the top of the screen as a white bar indicating battery life.
I still can't seem to get the clock in the taskbar full time though - it is there when running a program, but disappears when you go to the home page.
Any Ideas?
Mike.

TouchPro2 questions

Maybe I haven't seen it but I have looked and looked. I( have a TouchPro2 with the latest stock ram from Verizon. I believe it comes with sense 2.1 and WM 6.5. I have used various cab to make my home screen cleaned up. Most of the cabs don't work and I have tried A LOT. I managed to Remove the top and bottom curtain so my wallpaper shows through. I have a transparent slider, but the box over the selected icon is still visible. I would like to remove the box and maybe find some transparent icons. My biggest problem is that dang Verizon operator "curtain" With every cab I tried I could get the "V" logo removed, and with the personalizer, I could get rid of the text. BUT, I cant remove that semi transparent bar..grrrr. All I need is a cab for the slider "box" one to make them transparent, and a cab to remove that Verizon bar all-together. I have tried a half a dozen cabs for every problem i have and have not figured these out. Maybe it is the build..but i assume a lot of people are using the Verizon stock ROM. Would like a MR.X ROM but those don't load either.
Any help would be appreciated.

[Morph] Consistent Static Notification Icons [update 8-28-10]

Made this because I was sick of having so many different sized and colored icons on the notification bar. That stuff drives me nuts, or maybe it bothers me because I am already nuts...but either way here it is.
This Morph converts your current static (ie-right side) notification icons to be consistent in size and color (White and Grey for Dark Bar, Black and Grey for Light Bar), and removes the black boxes around them. This only works for icons that appear on the right of the notification bar and will not effect "alert" icons that appear on the left side such as USB connection, Usb debugging, and others. Also included is a optional morph that will make your lockscreen alarm and charging icons more consistent with the main morphs. They can also be viewed in the image below.
Hit up the images below to see the full range of icons and a screen cap. Also this works great if you use the night rendering mode in CM6 frequently, as I do.
This is working for me on CM6, and I imagine it will work on many other roms as well.
=================================================
Standard disclaimer: Do a nandroid BU before you flash this. I have no idea whats on your system, or what may cause it to break, therefore you flash this at your own risk, as with pretty much every morph.
If you are experiencing issues with metamorph hanging while trying to install, make sure you have usb debugging turned on in your system settings. yes, you really need to do this. go to settings-->applications-->development-->make sure usb debugging is checked!
If that doesnt work check this list made by morpher Formel-LMS. Must be that German efficiency...
1. Have you downloaded the correct files for your ROM?
2. Have you debugging enabled in the Android Menu?
3. Install "Titanium Backup" start it and hit the "Problems?" Button, then it installs a correct busybox version. This is required!!!
4. In Metamorph, press Menu, play with the applying speed. Choose a speed above 4200!
5. Never check the "Disable startup checks" in Metamorphs settings
6. Never, never, never rename the zipfile. If you do this, you'll get error messages like "Theme Control File Missing"

NEW VERSIONS FOR BOTH LIGHT AND DARK, MORE ICONS INCLUDED!
Ok, the version for light bars is done and posted below along with an icon overview image. I have also added in a few I missed the first time around like the sync icons and vibrate only icon, for both versions.
Saved for future post.
Applied the DarkOnly icons, in combo with GlasStatusBar.
Works great, looks nice, thanks for making this!
[CM6 RC3, on N1]
(notification bar looks a bit off, because of Drocap)

Nice, glad you like it. Nice screen shot too, thx for attaching.
I applied this via metamorph and restarted, yet no changes are showing, I'm running CM6 and Debugging is on.

Changing the Applications Icon

Since Hyperdrive RLS13 came with Icon Changer Free, I've done some customizing to my home screen. Everything has gone well up to the point where I wanted to change the icon for the 'Apps' icon. There's no such item listed via the Icon Changer Free menus - is there a pretty quick and easy way to change this icon? I'm using the Neon Blue GO Launcher icons if that matters.
I'm also trying to figure out if it's possible to change the icons used for the lock screen. My best guess at this point is that I'd need to pull the apps onto my PC, change the icon there permanently, then re-load them to my phone? Is that correct?
Thanks in advance for any help!
One new thing to add. I removed the icon names with Icon Changer Free, yet when I reboot, all the icon names are back. Any fix for this as well?

That's a widget thing only. Remove it in back-screen-setting.

i want to say , its Status bar ( download icon, wifi, clock, gsm,...) not is widget notification.
I fully second this. Also after like an hour of inactivity, clocks on the EPD stop updating properly. For example its 01:21, but the clocks on my Y3+ (updated from Y3) still show 01:03. Only the clock on the status bar are correct, but first of all, I don't want the status bar on my EPD, and secondly they are too small to consider them convenient at that point anyway.
Would really, really love to hear about solutions to both of those issues :-| The status bar has no reason to exist on the back of the phone. I just wish Y3+ was just a Y2 in regards to the EPD.
workaround for me is to enable the lockscreen with the second screen app but just leave it empty - so I just get a blank white screen with the locked icon and nothing else - most importantly: no statusbar.
most of the apps I use on the e-ink side have fullscreen support, so it doesnt annoy me during actual use.
but yeah, bit of a weird thing to not give us any settings for.
Ye, for me, the "actual use" for a phone with always on screen is seeing a nic clock (and other info) on its back. Thats the most important, seeing clock/weather/notifications/potentially other widget thingies (I inda liked the step countner on the chinese version). But the status bar is something that's not usable "at a glance", its too small for that so it has no place there.
But lately, I'm most annoyed by the clocks not updating properly when the phone is in sleep mode for a few hours, I can't trust the clock anymore, f*ck I hate that about it so much.

It's a late response, but I'm glad I'm not the only one with the time sync problem. I miss the YotatHub clock and battery widgets :-(
I finally discovered how to fix it:
Go to Settings -> Battery -> Click upper right 3 dots -> Choose 'Battery optimization' -> Choose clock app -> Click 'Don't optimize' -> Click 'Done' and you're done! Now your clock will always update
