Hi all,
Can you help me find this utility I used to have?
It would display your running programs in the top toolbar and would display the battery power as a bar along the top of the screen (and keep the clock in the top right corner).
I can't remember what it was called, and lost it when I dropped my old XDA Exec.
Have new Exec - and would like to reload this really useful bit of kit.
Have searched on the web, but to no avail...
Ta,
Mike.
Levenum's was a superb one, and I think it also got mashed up by someone else after.

Cheers for that - Magic Button was the one...
When I installed it on my XDA, it automatically put the battery bar on the top of the screen as a white bar indicating battery life.
I still can't seem to get the clock in the taskbar full time though - it is there when running a program, but disappears when you go to the home page.
Any Ideas?
Mike.

Hello!
I had on my TC with the original ROM a small icon with a battery indicator in the top right corner. After update to Win 6.1 its place was taken by a nasty clock. I managed to get rid of the clock using the registry. Now, how can I make my battery indicator come back? I really long for it ...
P.S. What is bad about charging the battery through USB? I've heard that it is generally recommended to disable this function...
Use the Advanced Config Tool (search the forums for it). It allows you to set whether to display the battery or the clock on the title bar among a myriad of other settings. Really a great tool. There probably is a reg change somewhere but the tool makes a lot of the tweaks easy.
Or a simple registry edit:
HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Shell\ShowTitleBarClock=0
Hey,
I hard reset my phone the other day as i messed it up to go to a fresh install of NatF's 4.4
Ever since i ahve an icon in the top bar which looks like a batter with a plug going into it. This is always there and the phone is not even plugged in. How can i get rid of it?, what does it mean? - It was there on my previous install of this rom.
Also, the icons in the programs and settings menus are small, especially the text. I used to get 3 icons to a line but now get 4? - which is normal?
Thanks
Regards,
Neil

Hi Neil,
Not sure about the battery icon in your task bar but the norm is 3 icons per row in Settings and Programs. If you want to change it back to 3, NATF has a custom cab for it in his thread here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=469450#4
If you want to make the font on the icons bigger, use Schap's Advanced Config and under "User Interface" change: "Icon title font size" default is 6 on NATF's roms.
You're still on 4.4? You know he released 4.6 today.
yeh, I would upgrade but it takes ages to reinstall all my apps and the main thing is setting everything to how I like it! - so many small options hidden everywhere which take ages to alter and fix to my liking
Hi,
I've recently purchased a HTC Touch Pro 2 running WM6.1. Before that I was on a Palm Treo 750 on WM6.0, and on the Palm when I touched the battery icon it would pop up an info bubble showing the % remaining. For that matter any of the other icons in the taskbar I clicked on popped up an info bubble. It just makes sense - icon provides basic info, if you want more detail click on it, simple. I presumed this was normal behaviour until I came to the HTC, and now when I click on the battery icon (or network icon or speaker icon for that matter) I just get a 'Notifications' screen which tells me nothing about the battery (or speaker, and not much about the network).
The battery icon itself on the Palm had a smooth decline from 100% to 0% rather than the HTC one which has just 4 fat bars. I know there are numerous other icons out there but I guess my question goes beyond just the appearance of the battery icon to the functionality of the whole taskbar.
How do I go about restoring the 'sensible' functionality of the Palm on the HTC?
Thanks,
Greg

Yesterday morning I noticed something strange with the home screen on my desire. The problem doesn't occur on any other of my screens. I hope somebody might be able to help.
The problem - at the very bottom of the screen there is a black rectangle between the white phone icon on the left and the white web icon on the right. See Pic labelled 3. I appreciate its difficult to see but the other photos are better.
The problem appears to be linked to the notification bar. I'm using launcher pro and I'm hiding the notification bar. I have it so when I swipe the app icon the notification bar becomes visible. However, since this morning when I reveal the notification bar with a swipe of the app icon the black rectangle at the bottom moves up and becomes more obvious? See pics labelled 1 and 2. Its almost like an overflow of the notification bar from the top to the bottom of the screen.
The black rectangle only appears on one screen. I updated extended controls app yesterday. However, I didn't uninstall before updating and my phone went a bit funny. So I uninstalled it and installed it and everything was fine.
Last night I went to use a post it widget. But the widgets had vanished? Even though I have the app installed. So I uninstalled and installed. But again the widgets have disappeared again?
The the extended control app is unusable today . I have emailed the makers of extended controls but haven't heard anything from them yet.
I have turned the phone on and off a couple of times but the problem persists. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I was wondering if anyone has had this happen before? I was just on my Captivate checking a few apps out and then all of a sudden the screen froze for a few seconds and all the icons disappeared and only the wallpaper was left displayed. During that time I was tapping the screen and whatnot wondering what happened and it stayed frozen like this for maybe 30 seconds before it finally came back to life, but I then noticed that whatever icons were displayed on the left side of the status bar turned grey and also when I pull down the menu from the bar it is also grey in color now.
Also I've noticed that the settings menu seems greyer as well. Does anyone have a way to fix this and bring the color back as the grey looks pretty crappy. I'm using Darky's 9.2 rom right now.
Edit: now that I'm looking at it more, it seems like ALL of the menus in all my apps now are greyed. Where before it use to be in color now everything is a dull grey?!
Can anyone help please??
Master Reset. Something (maybe a messed up app?) screwed up the graphics of your phone so if just restarting (... you DID try turning it off and back on, right?) doesn't work then just back up and master reset.
I'm guessing that you have tried rebooting, but if not try that. If that doesn't work flash to stock using Odin and if it still isn't fixed then try to get a replacement.
