Hello!
I had on my TC with the original ROM a small icon with a battery indicator in the top right corner. After update to Win 6.1 its place was taken by a nasty clock. I managed to get rid of the clock using the registry. Now, how can I make my battery indicator come back? I really long for it ...
P.S. What is bad about charging the battery through USB? I've heard that it is generally recommended to disable this function...
Use the Advanced Config Tool (search the forums for it). It allows you to set whether to display the battery or the clock on the title bar among a myriad of other settings. Really a great tool. There probably is a reg change somewhere but the tool makes a lot of the tweaks easy.
Or a simple registry edit:
HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Shell\ShowTitleBarClock=0

Hi all,
Can you help me find this utility I used to have?
It would display your running programs in the top toolbar and would display the battery power as a bar along the top of the screen (and keep the clock in the top right corner).
I can't remember what it was called, and lost it when I dropped my old XDA Exec.
Have new Exec - and would like to reload this really useful bit of kit.
Have searched on the web, but to no avail...
Ta,
Mike.
Levenum's was a superb one, and I think it also got mashed up by someone else after.

Cheers for that - Magic Button was the one...
When I installed it on my XDA, it automatically put the battery bar on the top of the screen as a white bar indicating battery life.
I still can't seem to get the clock in the taskbar full time though - it is there when running a program, but disappears when you go to the home page.
Any Ideas?
Mike.
How can I hide the battery indicator in Treo 750.
I have used SPB shell, it shows battery and percent power in screen so I do not want Treo 750 have the origin icon of battery at the top of screen. I have tried to remove this battery icon by change Power Item in registry but not success.
Who can tell me the way to hide it.
Thanks
Hide extra battery icon and show clock.
goto
HKLM/software/microsoft/shell - new dword ShowTitleBarClock with value=1
Needed a soft reset
Strange, no effect for me... :| Should it remove battery indicator? Here, after softreset everything is as it was. I would like to try one from iLauncher...
It does not work for me either. I also have the battery percentage & free memory showing on the title bar and would like to remove the original battery indicator.
Thanks for any help.
PS: I have been lurking around this forum since I got my Treo back in July of 07. I haven't posted much but have used all the knowledge in here including the update to WM6 & removing the att&t stuff. Thank you all, this is a great site.
Does anyone managed to hide the battery logo left of the clock?
I can't find any solution.
Bump to keep this thread going - would love to reclaim that bar space as well.
The only solution I know of replaces the battery indicator with the speaker icon. It is better than having two battery indicators If interested see here.
Thanx!

Sorry! I can not overwrite or delete the BatteryIndicator.exe file in folder \windows because It is in ROM.
Who has other way else?
Thanks
I use Resco File Explorer. And it does seem as if it won't let you overwrite the file, but it actually does. What app are you using to copy and overwrite with?
I use Resco File Explorer too. But can not delete or Replace the file. The OS is WM6.1; Software Ver. TREO750-2.25-ATT
I am using the stock AT&T ROM. The battery indicator under Settings/Power just shows a green bar with remaining battery life, but no percentage. Is this how it's supposed to be? Is there a way to get the percentage of battery remaining to show as well?
yo can have percentage of battery on taskbar. Look at this tread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=437307
Thanks for the response. I'm not looking for new icons, though - I just wondered if there was a way to get information about battery percentage (like a registry edit). Do other people's Fuzes show percentage battery remaining under the power setting? I checked my husband's, and his, like mine, does not give this information.
have you found a way into this?
i'm looking for the same thing -- instead of the icon an actual % like 10% etc... but i can't find anything for it.
edit:
the url that Majkeljj posted is correct.
i found a post with this picture
http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=129627&d=1226608629
and the solution was that mod.
i will try it and see
I was less concerned about changing what it says on the taskbar (I don't want it to look crowded with so much stuff), but hoping I could find a way for it to show the percentage when you actually go into the settings menu. When I go into the settings, there is no percentage there - just the visual representation of how much battery life is left. I still haven't found the answer to this.
Anyone find out if it is possible to add this? I just noticed this tonight. I'm on a custom rom (Da-G 2.02) but I do not have a battery level percentage under Start>Settings>System>Power.
Hey,
I hard reset my phone the other day as i messed it up to go to a fresh install of NatF's 4.4
Ever since i ahve an icon in the top bar which looks like a batter with a plug going into it. This is always there and the phone is not even plugged in. How can i get rid of it?, what does it mean? - It was there on my previous install of this rom.
Also, the icons in the programs and settings menus are small, especially the text. I used to get 3 icons to a line but now get 4? - which is normal?
Thanks
Regards,
Neil

Hi Neil,
Not sure about the battery icon in your task bar but the norm is 3 icons per row in Settings and Programs. If you want to change it back to 3, NATF has a custom cab for it in his thread here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=469450#4
If you want to make the font on the icons bigger, use Schap's Advanced Config and under "User Interface" change: "Icon title font size" default is 6 on NATF's roms.
You're still on 4.4? You know he released 4.6 today.
yeh, I would upgrade but it takes ages to reinstall all my apps and the main thing is setting everything to how I like it! - so many small options hidden everywhere which take ages to alter and fix to my liking
Hello. I have a Samsung Saga and would love to have a battery bar at the top like the one by spb and this one... http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=480914 ...but I am not knowledgable in C++. The bars currently use notifications for the percentage and the Saga uses a registry entry for the battery, so there are no notifications that support the battery utilizations. I have made use of a mortscript I modified that replaces the owner bar information on the today screen with the battery info including now an estimator of how long I can use my phone before I need to charge for the Saga. I just wish I could also have the battery bar at the top, can anyone help with this? Maybe a battery bar could be written that just reads a certain registry entry that I could populate every couple of seconds with the percentage or something similar?
Thanks for any help you can provide,
Later
