Make phone ring when bluetooth is connected? - Touch Pro, Fuze General

I've searched, but seems that nobody was able to find the answer.
I got a bluetooth headset that's pretty much always connected, but not always in my ear.
Problem is that phone doesn't ring (there no sound, only vibration) when there's bluetooth connected. Can I make it always ring?

My bluetooth is also always connected to my phone. What I do is that in the bluetooth settings, I uncheck the "Wireless Stereo" checkbox. In this case, my phone rings as per normal and I can still pick them up using my bluetooth.

But won't that turn off my stereo headphone functionality (i.e. stereo music)?
I got Voyager 855 which also acts as stereo headphones.

Well, you can always check the option when you need to use them as stereo headphones.

that's work.. =)
Isn't there an easier way?

Had this happen to me as well on the Voyager 855, but it started working again. See my post/resolution in thread.

I'm still looking for a piece of software that will activate it, but :
. You can make a shortcut to your BT devices tab : check http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms838639.aspx and http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=289005
. You can use BatteryStatus (search on xda-dev), it has BT tray icon with links to that page too, plus other features. If you can find anyone that has manage to activate Bluetooth Stereo with an app, please let us know

Use BTHtools 1.0.1.2.
Mine gets connected automatically as soon as I press the connect button on my stereo headset whilst using Media Player.

[Q] Can't make calls with Backbeat 903

All you guys who have the 903s, are you able to make a call successfully using the headset?
There's no way (I think) of starting a call from the headset so I make it from the phone, but it doesn't transfer the call to the headset.
Am I missing something?
(Using LeeDroid 2.1a)

Try going to bluetooth setting while the headset is connected select and hold the backbeat and then choose options un-select and then re-select phone. I had the same problem, and this worked for me.

[Q] Issue with bluetooth earpiece Latest Vegan Tab flash

Getting a "Paired but not connected" issue with my bluetooth ear-piece and I've tried everything to get it to connect, even force closing wiping all the data from the bluetooth application and rebooting several times. I've only had this problem since switching from cyanogen mod to vegan tab (Love vegan tab btw) does anyone know some fixes or solutions?
Thanks in advance :3
come on :\ doesnt even one person have a suggestion?
I was able to pair my phone with the Vegan Beta 5.1 gTablet without issue...
I just bought a new headset and will try it and let you know...
Working fine for me as well but when I disconnect I have to re-boot to get audio over speakers on the GTAB
hmmm, thats really odd, maybe my headset itsself is being stupid. Thanks for the feedback guys.

I've found if you plug and unplug a regular wired headset into the headset jack, thst usually fixes the audio be muted on internal speakers.
bluetooth help
I am having the same problem. Tried 2 different headsets, netbook, and my moto droid - but everything says "paired but not connected". nothing works! please help
may be a direction for a fix; DEVs could you clarify for us
I found this in a post today by enigma0456:
More research finally revealed something. BlueGPS4droid at sourceforge not the market. So, the external gps was "paired but not connected" until there was an application (bluegps) to "connect" to. Once that was installed I turned on the bluetooth and it immediately saw the hollux remote gps receiver. Tested it with Maps and it worked beautifully. So theories:
1. If there isn't an app waiting to use the bluetooth device it will pair but not connect until something asks for it.
now I realize this has to deal with gps but as i understand all phone apks have been removed that can be and not lose functionality in order to save battery life in Vegan 5.1 so if the above quote is right then there is no app (phone.apk etc.) to ask for the use of the ear piece and thus the paired but not connected issue.
now some people have mentioned not having issue getting their BT headset to work and maybe this is because the headset offers another use in their programing like they are designed to work like headphones or something and then there would be and app to ask for them and so they connect
the ones that do not work on the other hand like mine are only designed for phone audio; ever notice that on your Droid cell that your headset will say connected to phone audio, well in our case if the phone.apk/s are not there then there is nothing asking to connect to it.
DEVs are there any ideas to get functionality back even it that means adding back the phone.apks--and is that possible to do with our re-flashing a rom like side installing it or an update.zip
Thanks

There is an app on the market, called "headset toggle widget" and that will do the trick and unmute your speakers
Possible workaround...
Don't know if this will help but, after I paired my BT headset with GTAB, I then paired it with another device (my phone) after which GTAB started giving me the paired but not connected message when I tried to connect back to the GTAB. What worked? Well, now before I select the headset device in GTAB's bluetooth device menu, I put the headset itself back into pairing mode. THEN, I select it in GTAB's bluetooth device menu and voilĂ , it connects. Downside, I have to put the headset into pairing mode everytime I want to connect it to GTAB. (Haven't bothered trying to unpair the headset with my phone yet to see if it makes a difference.) Hope it works at least as temp fix for ya.

[Q] Bluetooth and Notifications Oddity

NS4G, CM7.1.0.1
Can someone point me to the setting that is taking ALL sounds (notification, phone, music) away from the handset and playing only through the speakers in my BT connected car (and only when it's streaming the phone). This is happening in my '11 Sonata, I believe but need to verify it's the same in my aftermarket stereo'd older car.
I listen to XM (mostly) in the Sonata, Pandora/Slacker in the 911. So I get no notifications at all while connected to the Sonata and listening to the radio or XM.
Thanks, Travis
When you pair with the car check under the Bluetooth settings. Open up the actual head unit and you can individually select Phone Audio and / or Media to set the 2 specific audio streams to either play through the phone or through the head unit. This is the only distinction on the Android side.
Thanks, I'll try that shortly.

For clarity this is on the phone. Select the head unit from the list of bt devices.
Sent from my Nexus S using xda premium
Thanks for the clarification, there was nothing in the car's bt settings menu. I looked through the phone's but I'll look again.

Under Bluetooth settings, Bluetooth devices.
Long press and select options.

You keep bailing me out and you will end up the first person I've felt the need to hit that donate button on
Thanks, finally found I had to click the device and hold it till I got options, then could uncheck phone sounds (and leave it checked for the other car that I wanted it that way)

bluetooth audio problem after update...

Strange problem on EU mate 9, before software upgrade to b126 (ota) now the output volume of the bluetooth is very low, any suggestion?
I use bluetooth volume app as workaround : https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.nightshadelabs.bluetoothvolume&hl=fr
The fix for the sound for playing your music is: check your Bluetooth and make sure it's not connected to a sound bar, car audio or any other music sources.
I went to my Bluetooth and found it was connected to my sound bar, I turned Bluetooth off and now hear sound from all music sources. Hope this is helpful. Joe Z.
On my work car (toyota) it works perfectly, but about 1/2 the time, when I connect to my Mustang (2011), it cranks the BT volume to zero, forcing me to crank it back up.
Well, the BT bug is showing up for me.
I was driving & it just disconnected. When I try to connect to it again, my car say Bluetooth disconnected. WTH?
I'm about ready to go back to my Mate 8.

I was out all weekend last, Memorial Day weekend in the U.S.
Must have been a glitch in the Mustang. Tried everything short of doing a factory wipe on the phone.
When I reset the Ford Sync system (which was developed by Microsoft I think...which explains a lot) to
factory default, the BT started connecting and worked the entire trip back home.
