I started off with the Mystic Win6.5 ROM, then EnergyROM, and now Shep's ROM, and have had the problem with all of them. I have loaded the OEM ROM before loading each custom ROM, and have done necessary Hardresets.
The problem is, when I import my contacts using either Activesync, Outlook, or Missing Sync, the phone decides to "freeze"; by this I mean that the application terminates, but the application window is still there (kind of like a Not Responding application on windows PC)
I also used PIM Backup, but when I restore from a backup, the problem still occurs.
My question: Has this happened to anyone else, and how can I fix it?
Thanks in advance!

Which device are we talking about?
Oh Sorry, I was talking about the HTC (Fuze) Touch Pro
My Solution: Avoid importing via anything but the SIM Card itself. Do a hard reset, and after customization, "SIM Card Changed" configuration will allow you to import your contacts.

I flashed Faria's [on hold] rom on last night... It looked awesome. BUT... My contacts list wouldn't work. I figured it was just that build. So I flashed back to factory. (and dumb ace me didn't check the contacts in the factory mode.) Then I flashed with the faria's crossbow.
Bottom line - I still don't have a contacts list.
Any idea's?
I checked the sim card with my old razor just to verify the contacts still exist and they do.
did you sync your phone? Contacts generally will not automatically show up on your phone unless you have it so your sim contacts show up in your contacts menu.

Yes it's synced. That's not it. What else you got? I just want to see the contacts on my sim card.

Re flashed it to the original rom from cingular. All is great. Contacts are still 100% there and functional with that rom. Re-flashed to WWE MB WM6 - The Real Thing rom. Same deal... Contacts do not work.
Is this an oft encountered issue?
I got the same prob
I got the same problem with Faira's rom the real thing, the error was in my desktop pc, I did the following --> got a copy of my outlok.psf file, un-installed the outlook, deleted the folder, re-installed it again, configure, then closed it, got back my outlook.psf file, and everthing worked fine with me

Did this keep you from viewing your SIM card contacts as well? As in the contacts screen would not even show up when clicked?

Search for ShowSim.... it's a registry entry you can change!
the registry settings in those ROMs are set to not show sim contacts. i just used the sim manager to copy everything from my sim to my contacts.
I hard reset my Touch Pro to test something out. On attempting to reinstall from my Sprite backup I've had a major problem.
Attempts:
1) A straightforward reinstall led to an 'SPBServices.exe cannot be found' message and TouchFlo repeatedly trying to start but failing.
2) In a second attempt I stopped the contents of the 'StartUp' folder from being reinstalled - which stopped the 'SPB' message from appearing but the TouchFlo problem still happened.
3) Third attempt - I set everything to reinstall except the contents of the Windows folder - this worked just fine except, of course, all the problems that come from trying to make anything run without the dlls etc. in that folder.
The only things I can think that might be messing with TouchFlo after the reinstall are:
I installed SSMaPa and made it give me Pocket Informant instead of the built-in WinMo calendar.
There's Pocket Informant itself. I have TomTom installed. Spb Traveler. Otherwise I can't think of anything else that would load at the start and possibly interferen with TouchPro starting.
Anyone got any ideas? Clearly it is something, a dll I assume, that I need to tell the backup not to reinstall. The last thing I want to have to do is reinstall everything manually.
Anyone? Suggestions? Solutions? Random abuse?
Dear all.
I'm stuck with problem with Exchange sync.
1. after syncronizing it leaves mail in Outgoing folder undeleted therefore it will be re-sended during next syncronization.
2. after sync empty white window appears on the whole screen.
how can this be solved ?
Already changed 5 different ROMs taken from this and other forums. all the same effect.
HTC Raphael
Which ROM are you currently use and do you perform a hardreset after ROM updates?
now I am using RUS_1.90.411.3_ruu_signed
and yes, I've performed hard Reset each time after reflashing.
I also had this problem with the stock sprint ROM
I also get this strange blank window that appears if i have it set to autosync
Anyone have any ideas?
Hello! I had sUC running on my fresh installed ROM, and now I'm facing never-seen-before issues. I mean, I cannot connect my PPC in activesync (the computer simply doesn't recognize the phone) while I can do that in USB Storage mode. Moreover, I can't open the Activesync program anymore on my PPC (it tries to open up but it immediately shuts down) and I can't even synch contacts, sms's and appointments via Microsoft MyPhone, as this is reporting an Exchange Server connection as active, though I never set it! Was it maybe some of sUC regentries? How can I undo that? I'm on a WM6.5 Italian ROM for Diamond, and I'd really like to have my contacts back!

Hello everybody!
Hope someone can help me, as this is a troublesome issue:
First of all, I'm on a Touch Pro with a Stock WWE ROM. The one that was provided with the phone.
Since yesterday, and without any apparent cause (haven't installed/changed a thing), the Pocket Outlook refuses to open my email messages.
I get the email in the inbox, but when trying to load a message, it just flashes the taskbar, changing the 'X' closing button to 'ok', marks the message as read, but doesn't load it.
The weird thing is it does open the SMS messages. I'm guessing that works because of the threaded view being enabled, so the viewer program is different.
I've tried to erase the account (GMail) and recreate it, didn't help at all.
Any ideas?
Can I reinstall the Outlook in any way without Hard-resetting the device?
Thanks a lot!
wow sounds pretty similar to my problem (except i couldn't open sms's either).
I found my problem to be my memory card....maybe try removing ur memory card(if you have one installed) and resetting the phone, then try to access your outlook messages.....worked for me anyway....hope it helps
