Hy guys... i have the same problem like the rest of you guys out there... when i pluged in my handsfree jack in the prophet ... and listen to some music when i umpluged it it remains in headset mode :|
so i hade to crack this open ... i did this :|
WARNING THIS WILL VOID YOUR GARANTY !!!
I WONT BE TAKEN RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY TIHS YOU DO :|
I switched the phone off and removed the battery ... SD card and sim card...
I unscrewed the 4 little screws that hold the prophet together
And i opened the little jack (i really don't know how its called) ...
i plugged the headset in to see where is the problem and the minute i plugged and unplugged i saw it
There is a little metal thing that connects 2 other little metal thingy xD when you unplug the jack you can see that the metal thing dosent go back to hes original position there buy it dosent make the switch back to normal mode and gets stuck in headset mode ...
i put a little paper or plastic between the metal thingy that connects the phone to headset mode so that it can force the thingy to stay connected to the other switch metal thingy xD forcing it to stay in normal mode.
so i guess that cracks it open where the problem is ... in the little jack hole where a little metal thingy dosent make the connection again ... i have sound now so its normal but i WONT use headsets again :| NEVER! because im scared that will happen again
i hope that was handy :| if you need a translation or maybe help i can really write in Portuguese or romanin maybe that helps :|
any questions ?
Hi man thank you very much u r so sweet & co oprative
Best Regards

Goodmorning from Greece and a happy new year for all of u (except me )..My s100 fall out of my jean in water for 5 minutes when it was on..I took it turn it off by removing its battery and from its sd slot the water run away!!..I open it carefully removing its back cover with camera etc and clean it with a toothbrush and some alcohol..Then i put it all back and powered on the phone..The screen gone in calibration mode but i had problems with power..When i take off the battery to insert my sim card the phone want boot up..Without sim card the screen looks great and the hard reset works great to but the problem with the power issue was urgent..So i took my phone at my friends nokia club and then we take out all the parts of the phone and did a proffecional ceaning with all this oil staff as that nokia does..After i put all the parts back on the phone the power issue was solved but i had another serious issue..The screen shows nothing!!!it has no power at all...I open it again (i am expert after all this) and take a look at screen cable tape witch goes on the phone "motherboard"..It was ok..When i power on my phone it sounds like goes to calibration screen after a hard reset..Also i have done flashing via qtek last rom but the problem exists..The screen shows nothing..No graphics no white light...nothing..Is the screen cable tape so sensitive by the all procedure??..Is there sth else i can do??Of course after the water the phone has no quarantee so if i send it to qtek service i think they gonna ask me a lot of money..Any idea??...Sorry for my big topic and for my bad english...Thanks a lot :?:
Sorry to hear your Magician has gone bad...
Of course you can buy a replacement screen, but it's rather expensive and a true heartbreaker if it still doesn't work. I think your best bet is to take it to a professional and have it checked out. Only then will you find out what has happened and how expensive it will be.
Normally, if you drop your phone in water, you should just pull the battery right away and let the phone dry in room temperature for at least 24 hours, before trying to power it up again. Be careful of hairdriers and radiators, which might turn a bad thing worse. Don't ever try to disassemble until you know for a fact that it is the last option.
Thanks for your responce..i think i should sent the phone to qtek service centre....

I have the European version TP2 but i believe yours, unlike mine, as a 3.5mm jack for the headphones doesnt it? Take your stylus and carefully put it in the 3.5mm headphone socket and broddle it around carfully a few times and see if it goes off. Ive had this fault when i had an Xperia X1i which was made by HTC for Sony Ericsson. There is a small switch inside the socket and it becomes stuck with muck and dust.
Let us know if it works.
Insert headphone in and out a couple times
Thanks it worked. Glad to see it's helpful people around and respond fast. Tahnks againm
I recently dropped my phone from my lap exiting the car Everything appeared to be alright and working, until a few weeks later when my vibrate function started to give out. For a few days after it stopped working all together it would occasionally try to spin and I could still feel very weak feedback.
My question is does anyone know how easy it would be to repair this? My screen is also cracked, but directly above the genius button, which I rarely use anyway.
If I wanted to repair this would it end up costing me more than simply replacing the phone?
If I had the tools and the patience I may be able to do this myself if someone could give me a heads up on this particular phone, or any experience they may have in this situation.
If I could simply open and examine the part I may be able to see if it can be a simple fix. Any ideas?
Well it could be something broke off and lodged into the edge of the motor not allowing it to spin freely. Or anything could be the solder joint broke. Depending on how the motor is set up it may be easier or harder to fix. If it is a solder joint that broke you could probably fix it yourself, by heating up a soldering iron and melting the solder to the pad again. If this is the problem and you want to attempt to fix, just make sure you don't hold the soldering iron on there too long, you don't want to burn the board or anything. It is possible (although highly unlikely) that the motor blew. There really isn't a easy way to find out for sure without opening it up though. Although if you download Z-device test, then you can go to the vibrate part of it and press the screen where it says press to vibrate and see if it is working at all through that.
I think this is the best we have for this kind of thing so far:
ifixsmartphone teardown of the doubleshot.
guess what my phone's vib stopped working about a day ago...
and it's fixed now...
this is how it went...
ppl were calling me and i wasnt getting notified by any means.
my ringtone got messed up some how... i tried taking battery out that did not help... to fix that i had to choose another ring tone and back to my default.
now i figued that my vib was also dead...
while watching a movie...
i took off the battery... and started hitting the phone upside down on palm of my hand.. and testing vib by turning the phone onn..
i started getting the vib back but it was very low...
so after the movie...
i took a peice(about 1 inch) of clear mailing tape and folded it backwards and made a thin pin alike... and stucked in the headphone jack hole... and twisted it...
guess what... a small peice of lint came out...
then i did it again... and another came out .. lol
and that's about it.....
my vib is back in action
seems like lint from my pants pocket gets in that headphone jack hole and some how blocks the vib motor to move!
have fun !
that's why I always have pouch for my phones
Hy
It seems I have some problems with my non routed , HTC Sensation .
For a few days now he goes in to dock mode without being conected to any dock or cable and is does not come out of that state even after a restart . Some times i can get it to work I even had a whole day but when i receive or make calls it will always enable the speaker . I have already returned to my factory default , erased the phone but with no luck , do you have any advice regarding my problems ?
There may be a problem with the micro-usb port. There could be a build up of dust in there.
in this case is there any way i can remove the dust or i have to take it to service to open it up ?
Well you could just try and blow in to it. Or you could buy a can of compressed air and use that.
hi everybody,
i don't know if i'm the only one, but my XZ usb port has something inside (like bent pin on the right side) every time i plug in the charger it feels like it's not well plugged, also, if i move it gets loose easily.
i was looking inside the port, and i kinda noticed a metal pin bent inside preventing the usb to connect firmly.
i had to use macro-lens and LED light to zoom in and take pictures.. so hard to see inside the port.
is it possible to fix it, like pull it back to it's place with a tweezers?
please check the attached pictures
thanks for the suggestion and help.
omg i cant believe that there is another guy with identical problem...i also have this isuue on my 10 day old XZ....usb port feels like its half broken and very loose also it makes bad clicking sound when u plug the cable and also when u plug it when the screen is on it also blinks a bright with light on the screen where the usb is positioned...This is definetly a design or counstruction fail. Im taking it today to waranty and also im quite pissed off by this xperias...my last good one without a single issue was xperia Z2 after that everything is a banana
Same here, phone is 6 days old
lol so that must be definetly a construction fail...what a shame Sony...i went to Sony service and i told them about this wierd issue and they somehow didnt want to believe it but when i showed them they were surprised.will see what will they do ...ill let u know guys...but i actualy dont believe that they will be able to fix that cuz even if they replace my phone or just the usb port ,still i think that its a design fail,,,usb port is simply made to badly...very loose and its not robust or sturdy enough cuz after few times pluging in and out the usb breaks fast. cheers
I've never had an Android phone where the USB port didn't feel dodgy. Apple's Lightning connector is way,way better. Having said that, my XZ charge cable wobbles about a bit but it clicks in place and charges with no issue. The phone is 4 months old and gets charged twice per day.
I had the same issue around the same time but couldn't find a thread for it. I think mine was caused by putting my phone on charge sideways on my desk, so the cable was bending from the phone to go off of my desk. The cable didn't go all the way in, it had to be forced in and then it was loose so it'd just fall out the moment you touched the phone. I had purchased mine from Sony on Amazon so I contacted Amazon, they sent me a new one the next day. My issue with this one is the phone has just bent itself slightly so it's no longer flat on the desk, it's more like a wobbly table. Possibly by me putting it in my back pocket for 1 minute to walk to the toilet with it.

hi..ill share u the same experiance i had...i bought a new XZ and after 10 days of usage i noticed that the phone is a banana(bent) and also i had wobbly usb port very loose feeling...so i went to Sony and they sad that this is normal and that i suposably dont know how to plug this new type of usb OMG i sad( what a patetic answer) ... so when we talked about phone beeing bent and its a new one he sad that he noticed that but cant do anything cuz this wont go under waranty LOL of course it wont dumbass they will say that i bend it and its a physical damage....so i sad to myself ok Sony u scammed me this time but u definetly wont for a second time....so after a month of usage now my xz is solid strait like a laser no banana design anymore LOL how that happend i dont know.all i can do is guesing and it probably stratend it self by overheating and cooling(expanding and straching).thats all i can say about XZ, but afterall its a very good solid performer and design is far better than any Sansung ,Apple or LG phones.cheers guys
Same problem here... Disapointed by the cable attachement to the phone....
And the clicking sound is weird.
hey guys just to let u know something if u noticed that ur usb port is bending while ur pluging it in it is because of bad design for sure but i also noticed that its my fault when it comes to that clicking sound when u plug it because i pushed cable to hard and it made that sound click....but if i plug it gently no bending or clicks and usb stays quite firmly.so yea they made bad usb port but they wont admit that mistake and also they will say to u that until the phone is working by manufacturers condition there is nothing wrong with it.my next phone will definetly have a deep usb precheck
