I did that before posting here. The volume is up but still no sound. Thanks for your answer though.

Your speaker could quite possibly be dead. I had to send my Wing into T-Mobile because mine died.
Try flashing to stock ROM before you rule that tho.
Also, this is completely the wrong section. Should be in Herald General

ok, so maybe is time to start brainstorming except writing "me too"! it is like in the kindergarten
in HKLM/Software/HTC/ are many keys, e.g. StartupAnimation..
i tried to make a new key with StartupVibration/Enable=1
but looks like it does not work. any another ideas?
Umm, if it did work, shouldn't you be setting that value to 0?

In my knowledge, the vibrating on the smart mobility screen, the first on the boot process, is't related to registry, cause the system haven't started yet. So perhaps is a value in the SPL.
I don think you can change into the registry.
did not work even with "0" (as disabled)...
...
if it is a value in the SPL, then no more fight with it...

Why not fight...? we can send a petition to pof to take a look at the HardSPL to see if can find the value (if exist).
i ment not fight with it through registry of course
Why would it vibrate in your cradle? Do you continuously restart your phone in the cradle? Or have an app that restarts your phone often?

I install programs and do regedits while the Kaiser is connected to my PC. Many of these programs & changes needs soft reset.
I see Thanks IsBjorn.
Wish I could help!

I am going to inadvertently bumb this with a rather useless comment (admittedly)...
Please don't bother any cooks with this... Let them focus on the bigger issues/features.

It's not a bad idea to let ppl to make contributions of any type. This let ppl learn about other ppl ideas about Kaiser. No one knows what are beside the vibration...
Perhaps this post moves someone to learn something... enough for me to be here...
I personally like this feature since in order to actually power on a Kaiser you have to press/hold the power button until you either see the green light come on or feel the vibration.

I never turn my Kaiser on or off, just soft restarts after and during installations and regedits.
I remember that some of my old mobiles did automaticly disable vibration during charging and when put in a cradle. All this to protect the connectionplug and "chargerport".
(Not that good in writing english; what's the real name on the "chargerport"?)
Charge port = Power jack?
Charge port sounds good to me. =)

I see alot of reviews/ people complain how there is no camera button on this phone.
There is!
all you have to do is hold down the push to talk button and you get "camera!"
you press it once, you get "push to talk"
so there you go, you can use camera without having to click things on the phone.
Damn if it aint so! Nice post
Doesnt work on my Fuze

Actually, not mappable. Fuze hardcodes this button to PTT. Other roms re-map. Mine (running Da_G currently) still doesn't show the PTT button in button manager, but press=MSVC and hold=camera.

Well, lookey here, leaving the thread open uncovered something interesting: Different ROMs treat this button differently.

If I remember right Fuze does hardcode the button press to PTT (obviously), but the button manager did have an option to reassign the long press in the stock rom to whatever.
I never checked myself; I left the stock AT&T rom on long enough to mutter "POS as usual" then loaded up hardSPL....
I never used the stock rom for more then 20 mins, so i do not know.
i used the NATF 3.1 rightnow, and it works about 10x as good as teh NATF 2.3
however i notice the speaker volume is a bit low now.

the problem was actually on a bluetooth speaker i have. i opened it and had to trim the circutboard to make the board and speaker fit in a very small area and i had to cut off the volume + button from the circutboard and i lowered the volume on accident and could not raise the volume to were i can hear it thats why i wanted to raise the max volume for the bluetooth but after messing with a small strand of copper wire i was able to pull a macgyver and raise the volume back up

If you really want it to be a lot louder and distorted just go to the android market and download the free "Galaxy Tuner" has a lot of options for other stuff besides just the sound/volume and so on.....
Hey guys,
Stock ROMs are my favorites; they bring stable experience for daily basis except for the ultra speed. (but stable means the most for me sometimes)
I used to root my previous phone only for some simple purpose, screenshots for example; then a few days ago I found a trick (from a forum written in Chinese, http://bbs.gfan.com/android-3345443-1-1.html) to do this without root permission.
Just press Power/Lock + Menu key (at the bottom left), the sticky note app will show up with an instant screenshot. Save it and you will get the screenshot in your /sdcard/quicknote/snapshot/ directory.
Hopefully this trick could help you out.
Note:
I've tested this on ME865, the Atrix 2, Asian Pacific version.
Other versions and models may not applied for this shortcut... sorry that I didn't noticed this before
Great! Thank you!
U sure this works on the a2?
Sent from my MB865 using XDA App
I tried this several different ways and I was unable to duplicate this on the MB865, I am guessing this only works on the ME865.
Thanks anyhow though.

Same here...
However if you do want a good free no-root-necessary (on the A2 at least) then get Screen Grabber... by default it is set to use root but it works when you uncheck the "use root" option.

Did not work for me either, however as stated above, ScreenGrabber works great.

Sorry for my mistake, I confirm this shortcut works on ME, but not tested on MB.
I'm using an Asian Pacific ME865 device sales at Hong Kong.
Thats it. To capture screenshot, you need to do three combination keys.
Press "power on/lock + vol down + camera button". Hold three keys for 3 sec.
Tested on atrix 2 ics.
Y is this necessary.? We have stock screenshot capability right! Just hold power and volume down key together for 3-4 sec.!

Did either of you look at the dates of the original posts... almost a year ago now. Did you not think that things were different on 2.3.6 than they are in ICS now?
Please think and read thoroughly before posting or replying, including when and why someone might have posted something. I understand both of you are noobs, so consider this your first little slap on the wrist.
Be glad it was I that did this, as others may not be so nice in the future. We are a good group here, but not reading and making posts that are not well thought out or just plain not researching will get you things you do not want in here.
--EDIT--
Oh and by the way, Welcome to our little slice of XDA!!!
I am one of your devs in here, and I am sure you will see a lot of me.

welcome to the A2 community !
Yup in ICS we use just the power key + volume down key combination to take a screenshot
BTW do read the links posted by jim above.. theyre quite helpful, and just to let you know, some of old posts are related to GB, so do watch out for that post date before you reply to anything, can get very confusing otherwise.
Anyways, good to see a walking dead fan here :good:

Hi,
My Samsung Omnia i8350 was working great but suddenly today I can't hear the caller at all, although they can hear me. Tried everything from changing the SIM to calling different carriers but no luck.
I hope there's a fix for this?
Thanks!
Yes. The fix name is the "manufacturer's warranty".

Hmm, it's a pity... BTW, did you tried Bluetooth or regular headsets (headphones)? Or wait... Check first - may be you accidently paired with Bluetooth device/headphones?
I would definitely suggest trying both headphones and a headset.
Also, silly question, but did you chek the in-call volume? It's different from the volume used in the rest of the phone (it's the *only* different volume meter the OS has, somewhat to my annoyance). I know I've accidentally pressed and held the volume-down rocker while on a call a time or two.
