so these roms are .exe files. when i flashed my cooked rom it was a .nbh file and i just put it in the root of my storage card and when to bootloader mode. for this original rom thats an .exe file, how would i flash it? please help me because i don't really know. sorry for the inconviences, im still new to this stuff.

................connect your phone using a usb and make sure an activesync connection is active. Run the .exe and go through all the steps. It starts flashing and the percentage bar shows. It finishes and re-boots. Your done ....

and no need to do a hard reset after flashing original rom

thanks. i have one more question. if i flashed a rom using the storage card method, when i change my rom say to another cooked rom, do i just add the new .nbh file to the storage card and delete the old .nbh file containing the old rom?

I have a touch diamond (gsm) with 6.5 but I wan't to downgrade to the original 6.1 rom from htc's website. Will hard-spl (olinex) prevent me from doing that?
Thanks in advance

No it wont hurt, in fact the hard spl will be reverted back to HTC original one, so all is well. Dont worry and just go for it... just curious, why you flashing back to original?

Reverting to official RUU with HardSPL

I have been searching all over for this but it's probaly right in front of my face. I read that you need to get rid of SPL.nbh from official ROMS before flashing back with HardSPL. The problem is, the official T-Mobile Wing ROM that I downloaded is an .exe file. How do I go about removing the SPL.nbh file since it doesn't display folder contents or anything, just runs the RUU?
Sorry for the double post, I realized I was in the wrong forum

Hang tight the link will be available within 10 mins.

This is the same tool used to flash your device when it was not HARD-SPL.
I replaced the RUU_Signed file and SPL.nh file already.
It will bring your wing back to the stanard rom as when you first got it.
One more question. I'm looking to keep HardSPL but I have to revert to original to upgrade ROMS don't I? I want to upgrade to your OT 6.5 ROM

Okay,
I thought you wanted to go back to the original T-Mobile rom.
If your trying to HARD-SPL your device to install one of my roms or another cooks roms then thats another story.
Please read my FAQ or one of the stickies.
Ok, I think I got it now. So I don't need to revert to the original ROM to flash it since I have HardSPL? Thanks for the help
wen i did this i think i bricked my fone now its at the tmobile screen and it jus staying there
I tried the file that you uploaded here...And it went thru the whole process of flashing the ROM, but after it updated my wing just stays on the T-Mobiel screen and never boots past that.
It had that open touch software on it and I don't want open touch. I want plan old WM 6.0 on there.
I called T-Mobile and got an offical 6.0 update from them, but when I try that one it gets to 1% then says it has a disconneted and I get a connection error.

So does this work? The two people who did this had problems. I need the phone to be all stock so I can have t-mobile send a free replacement because the screen is going on this wing.
***EDIT:*** Oka so this is the same as http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=364543&page=2 the first time I tried it it froze at 15% on step 2 so I installed the RAPI CAB like it says. Step two completed, phone rebooted and had white screen then I got error 260 I think. I have the stock t-mobile rom on it and had it on before I did this but it still has the yang from when I did a hard spl. Is there another way to get it to stock or am I doing something wrong? Plug in phone, let it sync, run herald-uspl.exe hit enter and so forth.
***EDIT*** Ok so this time it completed but is now stuck at the T-Mobile screen and I am now unable to even flash because I can't get past it And that damn yang still shows up in bootloader. Well went into bootloader and flashed from there so phone works but the damn yang is still there. And on a side note: Has anyone ever had a problem with their screen going very dark after flashing a rom from here? Phone was fine then I flashed OTP v7.4 TouchFlo 2D Lite.nbh yesterday and at night screen started going dark, would light up when opened in keyboard mode, then switched and then both were very dark and hard to see. I then flashed to OTP v7.3.1 TouchFlo 2D Final.nbh and still dark. Then I flashed to stock rom and have been able to see the screen since.
This is stupid easy to do... im shocked there isnt a post going into detail.

Did not work. Do I need to install the cab files again? I know I deleted a file out of the stock rom so it would not overwrite or verify or something but I put that file back, should I not have? This has been a few weeks and still can't get the yang off. Screen on my girls phone is almost dead, she can't even slide it any more so I need to fix the spl so I can send back to t-mobile....anyone ?
this is what i do to get back to the tmobile orginal. download the software from tmobile. I downloaded the newest update from tmobile site. REMOVE YOUR SD CARD. Connected my phone via usb. Launched the update. It has never failed me yet. It is just like updating your phone. tmobile has to take it, it is their update. They sent me a new phone noproblem, matter of fact i have to do it again, the back on the phone keeps getting loose on me. so they are sending me another phone again. hope this helps.
Alternatively you can use the combination of uspl and stock rom ruu to return your device to stock tmobile rom...
1. Enter in to uspl like you were falshing one of ttran001 roms... You can get this HERALD-USPL-beta3 from http://rapidshare.com/files/79249048/Flash_Center.rar
2. ONLY use steps 1 and 2 from the black screen (getting the white screen on your device)...
3. For step 3 in the flasher exit out of the black screen (windows cmd screen) by pressing ctrl+C...
4. Fire up the official ruu from tmobile found here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=358030 or alternatively if you have a tmobile account still active you can get the most up to date rom from http://www.t-mobile.com/wmupgrade/
5. Fallow on screen instructions...
6. Back to stock rom...

Hello freind,
I have been downloaded the above "Remove_HARD-SPL_On_The_Wing.rar" files and flash it to my Dopod C858 which has the Chiness language, I suppose to change the language from chinesse to Englis, After flashing the above files, now the phone is only in bootloader mode.
If you start the phone it will stuck on white screen and turn off.
Please help me how to revive my phone back.

Being stuck at the Tmobile screen isn't a true brick. Just reflash your ROM. (If you're not HardSPL'd, reflash your RUU.)
Remove Hard SPL from bootloader
Hi,
Anyone out there knows if we can remove hardspl from bootloader of Wing. Problem is my mobile displays splash screen, then switch offs by itself. Its been quite some time that I have hardspled it and have been using it. But recently I am facing this issue, so I am trying to move to original RUU and try if it works.
So for that anyone knows if we can remove hardspl from bootloader, because I am only able to enter bootloader. Moreover I tried several original roms from Flash Center as well as through SD card as well, but still be SPL version is 4.70.yang. Anyone knows any other alternative.
Also, if anyone has faced similar problem then kindly advice how you resolved.
Thanks in advance!
Regards,
Pankaj

HTC Cruise like DIAMOND ?

Hello guys. I'm new here and i really don't know where and how to look for what i need ...So if you can please help me here is problem:
- I have a HTC TOUCH Cruise and i don't like it's today screen and averything. Is there a way i can make it look like a HTC Diamond? I mean the whole today skin, picture swaping, sms swaping, and everything?
What is that I need to know and what to do? Or where to look for and what to look for
I give a beer to the one who helps me
just flash the rom mate... see hard spl posts etc...
you can now even go winmo 6.5, which i have!!
After I flash the rom will i be able to restore the original one if I don't like the new one? Hard-reset will bring the original rom or the new one I just flushed?
You will be able to reflash your device with your original rom again, you can download it from here. When you do a hardreset it will just reinstall the OS what is installed at the time.

Can this go wrong?
When i tried to flash a wm 6.0 rom on my HTC wizard
it went wrong and now is my wizard dead.
is this without risk?
always a risk, nothing guaranteed...
If you are confused with the vast choice of Roms (as I was), have a good look at C Shekar's "b" rom - i installed it six months ago and have no regrets at all.
After flashing the rom, you then go and choose a "today" screen (manila) screen that you like.
Good luck.

hehe,i don't think so

OMG...did i brick my phone?

Ok...so my tp2 is verizon and I did the whole hardspl thing and somehow got the energyrom leo on my fone, and then wen i tried to update to the new sense 2.1 extreme rom, i dont know wat happened. It said to use this custom ruu thing which i clicked on, and wen it updated my fone, my fone does absolutely nothing now cept loading the start screen where it says Touch pro2
I new something was wrong becus at no point was the .nbh that i extracted used, but no ruu came with the file that i downloaded...sighhh so is my fone dead or wat? I tried hard resetting, and although i am able to get to the hard reset page, wen i actually do it, it still just freezes where touch pro2 screen comes out
dont trip
i've 'bricked' most of my phones i've played with at least once. If your getting anything your ok - go to boot loader mode, reflash the original rom on it, then the one you want. Make sure your battery has a good charge also ^^

Failed flashing with CustomRUU.exe
Every flash has failed (freezes at "Touch Pro2" boot screen) when I tried to use a ROM that uses CustomRUU.exe (Miri, Cell_Pro, Athine, AF, Shadowline, and others). Flashing ROMs that use ROMUpdateUtility.exe already extracted flash fine. I've even tried first flash the original Sprint stock ROM and then flashing a "CustomRUU" ROM but without success. I've also extracted the files from the CustomRUU.exe and then run it with the nbh file but that doesn't work either. HTC Touch Pro2 (Sprint)
Any suggestions?

You're flashing CDMA ROMs, right? Not the GSM only ones found here, but CDMA ones from elsewhere, like here? Try flashing one of the CDMA ROMs found at the second link, and see if that works, because I think you may be flashing GSM ROMs onto your CDMA device, which would explain why it flashes, but doesn't boot properly. Hope that helps

Apparently, I was flashing a GSM ROM. There really should be better indication of what the ROM is designed for than simply being in a particular form. It wouldn't be any trouble to add a few characters (GSM/CDMA) to the file name to make it clear.
Thanks!
My Verizon tp2 is stuck on the TOUCH pro2 screen when it tries to boot.. It will not hard or soft reset. So it's not being recognized by my pc to do the hardspl thing. Wait, you are sending Verizon your phone with a non-booting cooked ROM and the HSPL on it?!?
If they figure that out, there's a good chance you'll be SOL.

Exactly. Even if you have insurance on the TP2, if you sent it back with anything that is not stock, your insurance is probably voided, they probably wont give you your phone back, and you might even have to pay full price for a new one. Good luck man. Definitely should have held out for some responses before you sent it out. If you haven't then that's good, but if you did, your probably out of luck.

Why didn't you try what the orginal poster did?
I loaded a GSM rom on my Sprint TP2, I wasn't paying attention to the orginal
Post and just thought oh.. I want this rom..
What I did,
Turn on the device while holding down the Power button and the Volume Down key. If you see Serial and 3-4 colored bars plug in your USB, and reflash with a CDMA Rom.
This fixed my Phone. Credits to the gurus at PPC Geeks. if i find the topic later I'll post it.

*SOLVED* What Went wrong - Htc Blackstone rom flashing

so i finally did it! i flashed my rom with RUU_Duttys_HD_WM6.5_Sense_2.1_Holy_Grail_R0
BUT when i turned the device on the colors were awful, it is slow and it is stucked all the time , sometimes even the "sense" doesn't want to start my CIM Card is not RECOGNIZED i did a soft reset and a hard one... nothing happens please please any ideas what shall i do now?
Do you have the proper hard spl for the rom? I don't own an hd, but do remember reading that you need an upgraded hard spl for newer roms. It sounds like you have a bad bootloader.

Yeah ted is right thats a classic sympton of someone using the wrong hspl/uspl, flash back to a stock rom, read the stickys in the HD rom development section, and upgrade your spl, then flash the rom again and everything should be working fine
ok so i used some different HSPL cuz i didnt find any other for the dutty's, so if i found a normal HSPL (Can you post a link for one sorry?) i shall flash it again ok thanks

Be careful and make sure it's the right one and you know what you're doing.
Flashing the wrong hard spl is the easiest way to brick a device.

[SOLVED] Going back to Original ROM

Hi guys,
nice work from JockyW, ookba and everyone doing the job to bring us excellent software (pls if i forgot anyone, don't be mad ). I really appreciated the RUU_MAPL_3VOLUTION_WM65_3VO.2.50.112509 for a long time but I will sell my Maple now. It time to move on and try something new. Thats why I need to go back to the Official HTC ROM. I just cannot get it to work...
Obviously just flashing the original HTC Rom won't do the job because of the Hardspl, but how do i get around this. I just need some help on going back.
Thanks in advance, UKFencer
160 hits and nobody got an idea...? Or is the answer too simple?
If i am missing something pls point me to it.
Thanks,
UKFencer
Sorry, I don't think I have any idea. I *think just flashing the original ROM should work, I have upgrade/downgraded other phones with factory/custom roms with no problem. I have a question on top of yours. If I don't Hard SPL, what do I lose? There's a thread about downgrading the HardSpl to 1.19 or 18, I don't know if that helps. I would like an answer to my AT&T question as well. Sorry about hijacking your topic but I at least bumped it.
Download original rom in HTC website. Thats all.

@alinkwok
yeah, i've read about it...without a seccond mobile, i'll have to buy the software if i recall correctly.
So, any other tips where to look for howtos...?

Yes, I agree with your sentiments regarding the ROM, point is however that once the custom ROM is flashed with the Hardspl, the original ROM cannot be flashed back, which is sometimes required, especially if something happens to the phone and it has to be returned for repairs etc to the retailers.
Strange, it´s the 1st time I know that an HTC device can´t go back to original ROM...
I´ll do some research...
The original SPL is included in the package you downloaded from here..... Just have to use it, flash original rom, and you are on your way....
How exactly do I flash the original spl nbh file? I tried replacing the hard spl nbh with the original and running RUU but the spl remained the same.
you need to get the one from here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=558003
there is a folder marked original spl in there. it is the same process you did when you put the hard spl on there, just using the original nbh
