I think i've got some Serious Problems with my XDA mini - JAM, MDA Compact, S100 Software Upgrading

Moin Ladies,
i think, i got some serious problems. When i start up my XDA mini, it wants me to calibrate and stuff.. Afterwards its going to install the stuff from the extended rom (original) and then, it turns off and after a while it turns on (just 2-3 hours) and i must do the whole thing again, just to let the phone shut down.. If i softreset, to avoid getting the stuff installed, it shuts down... I have it at the Powercord for a while.. now on USB with my PC.. nothing happened... I can't boot in Bootloader or anything else..
Just don't know, what else to do.
Maybe you know something, that'll help me.
(If my English is wrong at some places, please excuse it..^^ I'm German.)

Okay, i bought a new Accu, but it won't run properly.. The same problems, like written above..
can i do something?
When i try to charge it on my usb-port, it seems to be loading, but the problems remain.

one push...

okay, i don't know, if its broken srsly... but i don't know how to fix it, if i can... can someone please help me?

Try to replace a new backup battery and fix USB port?It will not be expensive.
And,have you ever try USB connection on another Computer or another USB wire?

hmm, i dunno, how i should describe it..
My Phone went to Bootloader mode... I could flash it with the Laptop of my Mom (Windows XP machine, mine is Windows 7)... So.. now i have Cotullas WM6.1 Rom installed and everything just runs fine plus i have two Akkus now.
Thanks for the help, though.

Stuck in bootloader PLUS USB won't connect to ActiveSync! :(

Hey guys...I recently upgraded my SDA to WM6 without any problems using Kar Hoe's guide. The only thing I noticed was that I couldn't connect to the internet via GPRS/EDGE (only WIFI). So I found a radio ROM last night and forgot to format BINFS before I installed it. It said it was successful of course but now I'm stuck in the bootloader. Here's the horrible part: The phone goes in USB mode for the bootloader, but won't connect to ActiveSync so I can't reflash it or anything! I really liked this phone and can't really afford another one at this time. I'd appreciate any help I can get.
Thanks. I'll be working until 5 but will check back after that!
p.s.: When I installed WM6 previously, I DID app unlock it and make it SuperCID.

try mtty and and kar hoe`s guide
to Profy_X
Thanks for the quick response! I've downloaded mtty (similar to Tera Term huh?). Is it possible to copy the ROM image to the mini SD card in order to flash it? I have the original one for my phone and I tried copying the NBF file to the card via a card reader I have by Vakoss but windows won't recognize it. (due to its format right?)
I know I have too many questions but I need my phone. http://forum.xda-developers.com/images/smilies/confused.gif
Thanks again!
I have the same problem and really looking for a solution.
The phone enters bootloader mode after pressing the camera button and inserting the usb cable. However activesync or anything else does not recognize the device. mtty and teraterm cannot connect to the device.
When I hard reset or turn off/on the phone, it keeps resetting itself after a couple seconds of booting.
Any ideas what I can try?
I fixed it...
I tried everything! I ended up extracting this fileTor_TMOUS_10140_191916_10900_SHIP.exe with winrar and running the RomUpdateUtility. Even though ActiveSync wasn't working I went through with it. It randomly worked though! So then I just followed Kar Hoe's guide for installing wm6. Now the only thing is that it will turn off randomly unless it's plugged in. And it's not the battery though. lol 0_o
To Burkay: If mtty or teraterm can't recognize your phone then the only thing you can do is copy the original ROM to your memory card and then flash it directly from the phone through bootloader....or at least that's the only way I can see since USB's out.
After an unsuccessful rom flash, phone always stuck to bootloader screen, it happened 2 or 3 times on my phone. In these cases ActiveSync couldnot recognized my phone (thru USB). But I always successfully reflash my phone just running RomUpdateUtility connecting thru USB. How come so complex in your cases, I just wonder

I agree. I just don't know how to flash from an SDCard. Do you have a tutorial?

Well...It might just be my battery after all (current surge or something). Because I tried 2 different wm6.1 roms and now am using Nitro's wm6 rom, and the same thing would happen on all of them (but less on Nitro's). It looks like if I do something demanding then it turns off after a minute or so. And there's no warning at all. It seems to try to turn back on, but fails. After that, the only way to start it is if I plug in the charger.
I'm going to order another battery from ebay and we'll see what happens I guess.
I hope it works!
@unforsakenrule: When i flashed, normally it takes hardly 10min, how your battery discharge so quickly. I tried most of rom found here now I stick to Kamikadze's 6.1 pro, it is quite cool and I don't want to back to STD.
Sometimes, flashing did not success and I tried again but I am always sure to be fully charged before start. If it stuck in bootloader charging is not easy. I sometimes use some crude method on my other phone, just connecting terminals of charger to battery directly using some wires, but it is really dangerous

That's pretty hardcore man! I'll try that ROM out and see what happens. In the meantime, I'm still waiting for a battery I bout on ebay. Thanks!
I received my new battery today~
No more problems since I got my new battery. The old one was a Sanyo and apparently had issues. The new one's a Celxpert. I'm now running wm6.1 Pro and it IS tight. Thanks for your responses guys!

Big problem-MDA Vario IV(HTC Touch Pro)

Hello.
I've got an MDA Vario IV, and I've tried to Update the Windows Mobile version from 6.1 ti 6.5. I've connected the phone via USB and the Update get started. On the display appears the boot loader with that colors, and after a few minutes on my computer display give's me an "Connection Error". The phone was so hot so I've removed the battery. The Phone was turned off and never come's alive. I've tried the Reset button, but no action. I can not power on my phone So please help me someone, I'm bagging You.
Welcome to forums
have a deep read here:

Good luck,
Thank You...
I've got no help with this. If my phone doesn't even Power On
is it coming back to bootloader? Did you try low volume button+Reset? Dont panic, it happens sometimes, try to charge the phone in normal way see if that works, I dont think so its anyway more than a software problem.
Let us know & keep following the WIKI. Good Luck.
No it isn't coming back to boot-loader. I've also tried the Reset with the other buttons but it doesn't worked. Some guys told me that I have to disassemble the phone and connect on the motherboard six pin with a J-tag cable and than is should connect to the computer to rewrite the prom and that re-soft the Windows Mobile.
I wudn't suggest you to do that. Dont you have warranty? If you dont have we can do some other thing, did you keep battery off from phone for few days?
No, I've got no warranty any more. No,I didn't tried to remove the battery for a few days, but I think that maybe is empty because I didn't connected to USB or charger for a few days. When I tried to power on the phone the battery was certainly full, I'm sour of that. And some people told me that the phones with Windows Mobile can not be charged to USB if is really empty, it should be charged by charger, but it doesn't work like that. Any ideas? I really appreciate your involvement, so thanks.

Could be the nand failing have a look using mtty to see if you have any bad sectors.
Disable usb connections in wmdc or active sync.
Put the phone into bootloader screen.
open mtty Connect mtty to you usb port.
Type info 8 to check for bad sectors.

As you know, is there a way to flash an hard spl via mtty? Or another way to flash it on my "seems bricked" device?
As for info, i was using the same rom as you, but mine was working great!
And now seems dead... my invincible polaris...

Please! Need Help! HD2 wont connect or charge!!!

So charged my phone over night (data cable in to charger)
Had it Connected to MyMobiler at work all day (nothing new there)
Come home, plug it in to my Hp 110 net book (same as always)
Wont connect.... Not even registering me plugging it in...
Tried it on my "all in one" charger, thought I might see atleast a charge light...
Nothing!!! Panic sets in.. Soft reset.. Restart Pc.. Hard Reset..
Still nothing!!! I dont have to worry about the rom version as it's still stock,
I think its the micro usb (now i know its not a micro usb but i cant remember what its called, sorry), seems like there is just no power to it or out..
Tried the sophisticated test, lol, wiggled it about a bit to see if it might be a loose connection, nothing.. (didnt push it obviously)
ANY IDEAS????
Im going to hunt the box out after posting this, getting ready for the return as i've only had it since Feb, I'm presuming it will still be covered under warranty (as its a hardware fault)
I'm just hoping their customer service is better than Alienware's...
They Sucked Sooooooooo much......
Anyone?
Any help would be appreciated......

Gave it a try but Pc wont even pic it up being plugged in... Like there isnt even a connection, The thing I have noticed is I've had it switched on over night to try run some of the battery down (as was full when all this happened) still saying full charge... So it isnt reading the charge right either.... Weird..
Everything else is fine with it..
Interesting..
I've come home, tried charging it again, still saying 100% batt but is flashing green, now I have read about this somewhere on here, I believe its a faulty batt, am I right?

ZT-180 ePad won't boot, no longer recognized by PC via USB port

This has happened all of the sudden.
ePad was working just fine last night. No problems at all, working completely normally. Turned it off and put it on the charger.
Today, took it off the charger, turned it on, and the ePad showed up in the middle of the screen for a few seconds, then, the
linux penguin in the upper left hand corner, and the little " - " flashes for just a second, and then it freezes, and never gets any
further than this.
I thought something may be corrupted, so I decided to try and re-flash the firmware again. Prepared to do the flash, followed the
directions as before the last two or three times I have upgraded the firmware as the changes have come down, and nothing. The
computer does not recognize that the ePad is plugged into it at all. There is no reaction from the PC at all that I have connected a
USB device. I am using the same PC that I have always been using to upgrade the firmware on the ePad, so, it is not a PC problem.
Just to rule things out, I tried TWO different USB cables, and THREE different computers. All 32-bit, 1 running Windows XP Pro, 1 running
Windows Vista Business and 1 running Windows 7 Professional. None had any reaction from being connected via USB. The little box
in Burn Tool never turned green.
Is my tablet toast? I just gave this to my son yesterday for his birthday, have only had it for about 3 months or so, and been tweaking things
to get everything working just right. He has only had 1 day to play with it, and it would be a shame if it is a brick now.
Please help!
Thanks!
Hi,
I got same problem but after flashing. I think my device is not real ZT-180 its look like but i opened and checked there is not Zenitink text on board. Board looks same also.
Can anyone help how to flash another boot? Or recognized by pc?
Did anyone ever help you with this? The same thing happened to my e-pad. I ust hate to toss it! Any help you can give me is GREATLY appreciated!
Thanks,
Cathleen
No, I was never able to resolve my issue.
There is a US seller on Amazon.com that may be able to help you.
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0049312JM
I am pretty sure he ships direct from US.
Good luck.
We seem to be SOL
Did any of you ever get help with this??? EVERY other forum thread pertaining to start-up problems with the Zenthink ePad always pertains to the device freezing up AFTER the ANDROID_ prompt. I've posted in numerous forums regarding this problem (freezing up when the penguin appears) and this is the ONLY thread that mentions my particular problem. I'm assuming that the USB and SD drivers must not get loaded until the ANDROID_ screen because I can't do the "zt update" flash or the USB ROM update (device doesn't get recognized by my PC). If anyone has come up with a fix, I'd sure like to hear it. Or, if this is simply an un-fixable problem, at least I'll know to stop kicking the dead horse
