Hardware keyboard shortcuts - Touch Pro, Fuze General

Is there a <CTRL> button on the hardware keyboard for shortcuts like cut, copy, paste?
Thanks.

Yes there is

Would you be able to tell me which key it is? I can't see anything like that on my Fuze...

Well on my Touch Pro it's on the bottom left, below SHIFT and to the left of the green FN key.
Maybe the Fuze is different? I never buy carrier-branded phones so I wouldn't know, sorry!

Yes, the Fuze keyboard layout is different...

Ah, then I suspect the carrier had the CTRL key removed in order to make it less confusing for noobs ;O)

Feel free to give this a shot:

It's still very raw and in development, but it will let you map a CTRL key on your FUZE keyboard.

[REQ] multi-touch keyboard

Is it possible to make a keyboard that has multi-touch enabled so that typing on screen would be faster?
Clarification: this would make it so more than one key could be held down at once and would make it so keys could be typed in quick succession.
that doesnt really make sense.. multi touch would allow you to type 2 keys at the same time? how much faster do you want to type? maybe someone should port mavis beacon to the android and sell it to this guy.. lol.. sorry for being a smart ass... just dont get how that is a sensible request... maybe i dont understand? or maybe you dont type fast...
Re:Clarification - you can already hold down one key while you press down another.. menu+c menu+v copy paste
I tend to find myself already having my finger on the next key before i have fully released the first. this way one key could be held down, another pressed down, the first released, and then the second released shortly afterward so that they could be typed in quick succession.

i meant on the on screen keyboard...
gotcha.. you could always get one of the softkeyboard replacements.. have you looked into those? I use shapewriter.. ive become quite good at using it.. can use that almost as fast as the hard keyboard on my g1.. and who knows.. maybe there is a multi touch capable soft keyboard replacement..
Better Keyboard does multitouch.
alright cool thank you!
On latest cyanogen, the included IME (I think ot's frim eclair) does support multitouch. There is Smartkeyboard and Better keyboard too. However, I don't see any performance boost by using multitouch keyboard. It's far more important for the keyboard to be responsive and read your strokes accurately. That's why I stick to the stock keyboard - fast, lightweight and accurate enough.

Ctrl key ?

In my previous HTC, Touch Pro2, there is a Ctrl key, but on HTC 7 PRO I cannot see it. If there is a way to map such Ctrl key? I need to use it
1.) why do you need the key?
2.) there is actually no ctrl-key and you won't be able to map it do any other.
keymap could be modified on rhodium

Suppose something similar could be digged. have no wp7 at the moment though.
hope to read of android working and smoothly on 7pro :=) unless a cool qwerty is released for android, maybe 4.3"

Hi all,
I had the same thought.
The benefit of the Control key (for my usage):
- press CONTROL + BACKSAPCE to delete a whole word at a time (rather than single letters
- using the arrow buttons + CONTORL makes copying text much easier, that way you don't have to get onto the touch screen (useful on long emails etc)
- much easier to copy & paste just using the keyboard, like on your normal keyboard
It would be great to have the Control button or have the same function somehow else.

I use to do the same thing. Feel lost without it. I know it can still be done by dragging your finger. Though to me... its not with the same ease. I dont know how they could possibly think an emoticon button is more crucial :S Its a business phone ffs!

[Q] Keyboard Dock

Did a quick search, didn't see the answers to these.
Can the Fn keys be programed to something? or are they only used for the other functions of the arrow keys. I'd really like to program a recent apps key shortcut
Also whats with the Circled #1 and 6 keys?
Thanks!
bumb... anyone?

Missing my Scrool ball like had in HERO

HI
I am missing my scroll track ball as when i type any text and want to amend the text in upper line or something like i have to click on that particular part, having fat fingers sometime its impossible or take few more click with my fingers to get to that particular part of the text
so any one experienced this ?... i seen HTC DESIRE HD the keyboard got the arrows keys to move the typing cursor across but not in our Sensation
any other solution
Please excuse my poor English
Thanx
I came from the Wildfire which as the trackpad. I thought I would miss it but I don't.
I use Smart Keyboard Pro, and imo it is the best alternative keyboard out there. So customisable! You can add arrow keys with that keyboard. There's a trial version of the keyboard if you want to test it out and look at the settings.
Ahh, I feel your pain. I too miss my G2 trackpad. I didn't even realize how much I used it for that purpose until I was without it. I use ultra keyboard for my fix. The auto correct algorithm is the best I've used so far. And you can shorten the key height(or enlarge) to make the keyboard the same height as stock with the arrows included.

[Q] use of samsung bkb-10 on windows 8

hello everyone.
i just happened to pucrhase a really cool and quite expensive bluetooth keyboard. i really like the feel of the bkb-10 samsund. My problem is that i have a windows computer and i realized that keyboard layouts are quite diferent. mostly because of the fact that this bkb.10 does not have alt and f´s keys. I need at least my alt keys and the right button. Can anyone please teach me how to remap this keyboard, or how can i at least teach windows that the key that looks like a microphone just left of the space bar is ALT and not a voice command.
is this possible? i know that has to be.
thank you all.
