Hi,
I've recently been upgraded to an O2 XDA Ignito from an O2 XDA Stellar (Kaiser), and need some items.
I'm sure this has been covered already in several topics, but I am finding it hard to get any definite answers. ( Yes, I have used google, and forum search )
I have been looking for a charger cradle, car cradle(passive), and extended battery with cover to fit O2 XDA Ignito, as the rear cover isn't the same as the official Diamond back.
I have found several items using google etc, but I would like recommendations from O2 XDA Ignito users, as to which items actually fit.
Thanks in advance.

Is there a dedicated in Car Kit for the new XDA II yet? I have read that the original XDA kit could be compatible but am interested in knowing if an updated kit has been launched and if so where I can order it.

I informed at a shop selling MDa's about that :
They expect the O2 XDA/MDA II carkit in Januari 2004.....
There is a car kit, which is used when you have Tom Tom installed, but I believe you can purchase of eBay. XDAII will fit provided you take off the battery cover first.

Steve do you have any links to or pics of this unit? I presume removing the battery cover is to gain access to the internal bus connection socket.

http://klingtech.dk/produkter/qtek-2020.php
here in the buttom there is a car kit which they sell as a xda2 thing
not sure if it's just the old car kit though
Rudegear,
I am currently in Denmark and trying to decide if I should get the Qtek 2020 here or wait till I am back in the asia-pacific area and get an Xda label.
Anyway on the klingtech site they state 32M ROM, is this correct? The Xda site says 64M ROM.
Thanks,
Nick
not sure about the rom size but as far as i know then all
Himalaya's are the same hardware wise
if you should buy or wait i think should be a question of price vs. waiting
but klingtech is not the cheapest place to get it it's cheaper here

Hi
I've got a O2 XDA Exec (HTC Universal) here which I'm looking to sell. It's already unlocked and currently has Ranju's v7.7 ROM on it. It has it's stylus, instruction manual and charger with it and I can provide a brand new PAYG SIM card for most networks as well. The phone itself is in in pretty good condition with just the odd light scratches here and there and worn off paint on a couple of edges and corners. If you're interested please post.
Many thanks
Sam
No-one interested? *bump*
Hope this helps Ignito owners as I could not find it posted elsewhere. I bought a desktop cradle and spare battery from gpsforless advertised as for the Ignito and have the following problems;
1 - The Ignito does not sit in the cradle fully due to the 'diamond' shape inserts in two corners, so would not sync with my PC, it was also very wobbly.
2 - I get the battery unknown message (as mentioned in another thread)
3 - The supplied cover was for a Diamond and does not fit the Ignito
gpsforless were very good when I phoned them and are sorting out a part credit with my agreement and are investigating the problems with the China factory. I have also agreed to try any new parts they get in from China to see if they solve the problems.
Has anybody found all three of the above that DO work with the Ignito?
Regards,
Peter
Which cradle do you have? Check the CR G300 with the XDA Ignito inserts from expansys :] i got my correct insert for the T-Mobile MDA Compact IV!
As to your second question im not aware of any inserts for the Ingnito WITH an extended battery though and as for number 3 you'll have to wait for a cover, or do they sell those now?
Other than that, my answer to you is nope, haven't found anything for all three
I had the same issue with a battery from gpsforless - they refunded the purchase (of the battery element if it was a bundle - about £7 iirc)
the ignito hasnt got the diamond back that the generic handsets has, we've had this issue for a while...
I own the CR G300, A Diamond & Ignito and the Ignito fits fine into the Dock! But there are 3 Different Inserts to choose from!
Hi, I've a Xda o2 ignito, where can i find an extended battery with the rear cover?
thanks
Have trawled far and wide on the web but no joy.
I have been told by O2 shop staff that O2 are bringing one out in late November tho.
Will wait with baited breath !
Sorry to hijack your thread, but can anyone with access to both the T-mo MDA c4 and an Ignito confirm that the back covers are the same or if they are slightly different ?
hi, I've found the battery and cover:

For me is too expensive
He He,
...now we're waiting for a new car holder to fit our thicker diamonds.

Hi,
I have both the XDA Ignito and T-Mob C4 and the backs are a different shape and colour and also have different securing points.

Hi,
I have an O2 XDA orbit II that works perfectly even after 2 years. I have flashed the 6.5 ROM from XDA-Developers, and the phone's a treat to use.
But, the only downside is that there are a lot of scratches on the screen, that are visible, due to my carelessness.
Is there a way to replace this screen with a new one?
And, if so, where can I get the exact replacement part from?
Thanks for all, for help.
DG
Try ebay i got a full housing and screen for £10 "seems Genuine enough" just do a search for xda orbit 2 screen. There is guides on here for disassembly and screen replacement.
Hi, I have now ordered one from EBAY.
But, it would help if you could provide me the links to the above mentioned guides for Disassembling..
