Hi Folks,
Can you plz tell me how I can run a program on a specific event?
I need to start an application when active sync connects and when active sync disconnects.
the app is a program which turns the screen completely off (but only the screen), cauze on my HTC Touch HD the screen only dimms and I dont want to burn it in - thats the reason for this app.

You need various types of software, but check out software by SKTools called Skhema or something.

The PocketZenPhone also does that, but it is very unstable in WM5 the last time I tried it. Maybe it works now.. but I tired of trying. But it seems to work well on WM2003SE and below.

I've some problem with my Touch Pro, now I try to explane to you:
1) When I put my phone locked in my pocket and receve a call, it automaticaly answer (the automatic answer is disable). This is a big problem especialy when I have my phone silenced becouse I don't know if someone call me and who call can hear all my conversacion and I lost all my credit.
I try some software for Diamond but seem not working corectly no mu Touch Pro
2) When I start a data comunicacion (Internet,..) via Wi-Fi and lost connecion the phone switch automaticaly to 3G or gprs connection without advise, so if I don't see the change I have to pay the connection.
3) When you have ToucFLO 3D active you can't activate other tags, in home screen, for example tasks activity....
Can you help me to solve this tips. They are very important for a correct daily use.

2) use advanced config tool found in this forum to disable your data connections
3) Use secondtoday (google search it) which allwos you to run a second today screen. Manilla (touchflo) does not support any other today add on.

With advanced config tool I can disable only GPRS connection, but the phone use other connection H and G.
Now I try to found secondtoday

I've try to install on my Touch pro all programs esxplane on xda-developer site, but no one works correctly on my device. Normaly this software are developed for Diamond, are there problem on Touch pro?

got a lovely touch pro. v happy with the device.
i have a small issue;
my company securitypolicy requires that my phone autolocks after 10minutes in order for me to use exchange. the problem is that when using tomtom if i dont touch the screen it will autolock and require the password to unlock. this is very dangerous to do while driving, especially when the phone is in the cradle stuck on the windscreen!
i have emailed tomto support but they haven't replied, no sirprise there!
you guys got any ideas?

Flash the device with a custom rom hrhr!
i had the same problem in the past, in the end, i sync the emails from my laptop instead of direct mapi to exchanges. And I access via gprs to the corporate webmail.
Troublesome, but beats crashing into a tree or pulled over by cops.

Ca you not disable the lock temporarily whilst using TomTom? You could still comply with the policy by also setting Autosync Scheduling to manual whilst using TomTom. After all, are you really going to check your emails whilst driving
Anyone using a program to change the profile to say vibrate when you goto school and turn it back to ring when you come back home. There are programs that can automatically change the profile based on current cell phone tower locations you are in like PSILOC's minigps (symbian) and DHR CommMgrPro (win mo but only for GSM) but anyone know of something for CDMA/sprint?

How do you mean?
This soft looks like spot on what I want/need and when reading about it it at least says "G-sensor support for mute improved for the HTC Pro (Raphael)" so it seems it'll work with our phones.
so, how does it not work with TF3D?

Phone alarm works as a today plug in. TF3D does not allow any additional today plug ins.
Solution is to use the application secondtoday which allows you to have a "second" today screen, which is accessable from the TF3D screen.

Yep, that's the issue. Phonealarm is able to track CDMA cell towers, but won't change profile if TF3D is on today, as it won't allow anyother app to take that coveted spot. That second today might be the solution...

Secondtoday is a great application that allows you to continue to have TF3D whilst having all your favorite today plugins running such as phonealarm, pocket weather etc. It works well and have never had any problems.

It's great app but doesn't work fine on Touch Pro (on Kaiser the profile was changed even when device was in standby - on TP You need to turn device on)
and yes, I'm using it with second today

They may be on GSM networks (e.g. Tmobile) here. Sprint is CDMA and CMP wouldn't pick up the cell towers. If I can get CMP work and keep TF3D that'd be great!
pocketalarm did pick up the cell towers but not sure if the author had to do any special coding for CDMA?? DHR - let me know if there is a way to use CMP with CDMA.
mm, thats interesting. Could you try it and tell me what happens or error appears? In the main windows should appear cell id and lac. Wich numbers you see? Its very curious becouse Windows API only provides one way to get cells. Maybe Its enough changing one initial parameter. Once you tell me what you see in those fields (cell & lac) I will try to fix it

IIRC, the fields were blank for cell id and lac.
EDIT: Also would CMP work with TF3D?

Thanks I will research about it. It works with tf3d because CMP isnt a today plugin but a program. (although It has a today pluing available too). Indeed it shows info about profile-schedule on the first tab of page of TF3D....

Also DHR: I tried the new version and it does look slick but I still get 0 for LAC/Cell ID. Note I only installed it on the sd card, as I'm just using the standalone with TF3d and not the today plugin.
So the only solution that seems to work is phoneAlarm. I'll try secondtoday.

I have a problem using my sports app "Runtastic". Every time when I start an activity and switch off the screen after a minute or so I get the message that GPS signal got lost. When I switch on the screen then I have immediatelly a GPS signal. In the settings of "Runtastic" is a switch "carry on application at active lockscreen". This is activated but seemes not to work.
Can it be that at WP7 the location service (GPS) will be stopped after some time when screen is switched off? If yes, does anybody know a tweak to disable it?

mhh, that's strange. maybe you can disable your lockscreen.

Maybe it is a problem of the "Runtastic" app. I tried with disabled lockscreen. After switching off the screen the GPS signal got lost again.
Runtastic appears to run okay for me with the lock screen up(HTC SparkW), but this could be a phone specific issue. I used to have a very similar problem with gMaps Pro, but it was eventually corrected when brought to the developers attention. I would contact the developers and let them know that your model phone is having an issue.
This app doesn't have any settings under Settings=>Slide to Applications=>background task=>Advance.. and I know after gMap's Pro was updated, I went here and change some settings and it would keep running afterwards.. but.. the dev had to implement a fix on their end first.
