I was checking my appointments after this weekend, and noticed that they were all shifted up an hour. This includes reoccurring ones. I have an AT&T Fuze. Is there a way to fix this? Do I need to fix this, or will it correct itself once the time changes this weekend?
Thanks
Your appointments adjust with your clock so that if you are traveling into different time zones so that everything will still "occur" at the same time.
Ok, outlook calendar syncs appointments according to the outlook settings and not the PC's clock settings
go to outlook's calendar options and to the timezone options and try changing them to fit your needs.
i was under the impression it only shifted the appointment times if the clock was set on the "visiting" zone, it shouldnt alter the time of appointments if time zone is set to "home".......
I have the same problem. As soon as DST hit (which was yesterday) and my phone adjusted for DST, all my appointments moved forward by one hour. How do we fix it?? I would love to know. Thanks!
I had the problem with appointments shifting one hour forward after the Daylight Saving Time took place yesterday. I am using the Outlook at home and Groupwise in the office. After I sync FUZE with the Groupwise through PortaMail, all appointments are back to the originally scheduled times. I believe that this should work when syncing with the Outlook as well.
I thought you meant it was a syncing problem.
it only happens when timezones are changed?
So what if I use a mac lol? Am I just screwed?

Hi all, I got my Touch Pro few days ago, and one thing that bothers me alot is the time is WRONG!
I've set the timezone on my phone as GMT+10 Brisbane where there is no daylight saving apply. However, as soon as I connect the phone to my computer, it automaticlly +1 Hour, It is now displaying GMT+11 time, even if there is DST, it should be GMT+9 rather than GMT+11. Appointments that sync from PC to WM are all +1 hour too, IE if i keep using the wrong time, I'll still be right with appointments... WTF... eg. Current time is 10 and flight is 12, my phone actually displays as Current time is 11 and flight is 1pm! ROFL.
I've tried to install WMDST2008-1.CAB and update my outlook with Outlook Timezone Move.exe and still no sucess on the issue.
Can any one help?
Go into ActiveSync, Tools | Options.
Highlight your PC sync name, click Settings, then untick to sync date and time

Everyone,
This is a curious one,... I came back to Europe from the US on Friday morning, turned on my htc touch pro, and my email synced up fine, emails, calender, tasks, et.al., but since Friday morning, will not sync emails,...
I changed nothing, and I've checked everything, but I cannot get the damn device to sync emails again,...!
Any thoughts on this are appreciated,...

Are you OTA syncing mail?
If so and you probably have checked it but i'll mention it any way as it caught me out recently, check your ActiveSync schedule settings are not set to "Manual". Mine switched to manual recently and it took me a while to work out why i wasn't receiveing mail.
thanks deedee, and yes, this is the first thing i checked and in the activesync program on the device, it's set to, 'as items arrive' so, no problem there,...
what's stranger though, is activesync is showing that i am 'connected' to ms exchange, and my calender sync's,... i can also get on the internet via gprs and ie,...
this is making me crazy, but in any case thanks for the reply,...

i thought it probably was the first thing you had checked, but i posted it as much so that a new face will find it as a solution as anything else. Having only recently gone to push email it took me a while to find it the first time my email stopped being pushed.
o.k., now i am really confused, since i did this test,...
i went to my pc and put in to the 'tasks' a new task called 'test task,' waited a few minutes, and then synced the htc touch pro through activesync and my french orange sim card,... then went to 'tasks' on the htc, and the 'test task' was there,...
i then deleted it on the htc, hit 'sync' in activesync, then went to my pc, and the 'test task' was deleted,...
so, why are my tasks, calender items and contacts syncing and not my emails,...? and especially since they synced fine, once, on Friday morning,...?
and further to all this, i just dropped my sim card in to my old htc tytn II, which i have not synced since oct08, and all emails, contacts, calender and task items synced perfectly in about 2-minutes, so, not my ms exchange server,... must be the htc touch pro, a setting or something,...
thanks for your thoughts and help on this, but still not resolved,...
ek
just for info, what i had to do is delete all sync relationships and re-install them, and then re-sync,...
all is working now, but still a mystery why this happened after returning from the US,...
thanks for the reply again deedee,...

Hello everybody,
I have an issue with my HTC Diamond and my contact's birthday date!
On MS Outlook 2003 (french release), birthday is ok (ie : 20 Oct. 79).
On the Diamond, it appears to be shifted 1 day in the past (ie : 19 OCt. 79)
Both PC & PDA are on the same time fuse (GMT+1 Paris), the date is the same, and the time is also the same !
I'm lost and it's driving me crazy... I already saved my contacts on the PC, then delete all of them in Outlook, the sync, and delete the sync parameters in PDA & PC, and import them back, but still not working.
Does someone already had the same problem ?
Regards
Sync time is decided by outlook's time preferences, not by the default cpu clock.
try to change the calendar's time to meet your requirements.
I already checked, and outlook calendar time is matching with both PC and PDA's.
So it seems the problem is not there
Might be a "daylight saving time" setting, not sure where to change it though...
edit; oops, thats only an hour difference, not a day, sorry
a workaround for this can be..
1. open outlook
2. go to tools/options/calendar options/time zone/change calendar time zone
3. change the time zone to fit the delay
this should change all your appointments..
but maybe you should go thru all calendar options over there to see you didn't miss anything
Hi all-
I use Microsoft Outlook for my corporate email. Our main office disables Outlook from 12:00am-5:00am everyday for some reason.
I have my email sync set "as received". I was up in the middle of the night last night and checked my phone. I was receiving multiple sync error messages (since our corporate server was off line). My phone was hot and my battery was draining even while on the charger.
Is anyone aware of a program that has the ability to set specific times to sync?
Thank you!

If you're using a 2.1 ROM, you can manually turn off sync via the Power Control widget. Just a thought. Other than then, you can just turn off your mobile connection, so it doesn't do any data at all...I mean you're sleeping anyways right?
I know you're probably looking for a solution that would take care of itself, but thought I'd offer it up there.
Thanks so much for your reply and suggestions.
I really am hoping for some kind of automated program so I don't have to remember to turn it on/off all of the time. I'm old, lazy and forgetful!
I wish the syncing options were more like on WinMo 6+ for exchange where you can set peak hours and what the recurring sync schedule is for peak and off-peak times.
Great feature I miss. I would set for every 10 or 15 minutes during peak and every hour during off-peak. Great battery saver.
Maybe something like Auto-lock or Power Manager that can integrate with locale or a timer app so that you can shut off data syncing during certain times or locations. But then again, it would need to be specific settings per items you want to sync.

My phone isn't syncing all of my Meeting requests. I created about 20 of them but it's only syncing a few. Any ideas?
I deleted Exchange from my phone and then set it up again and that didn't fix the issue. Also hard reset my phone for kicks. Running stock Sensation. Same before and after the OTA update I got today.
The meetings are on my calender in Outlook, but some aren't showing up on my phone.
It's driving me nuts. The dates are correct and all of that. Don't get it. I manually entered them on my phone and they showed up as a double entry in Outlook on my laptop. So it's syncing from phone to Exchange fine, but missing some entries that I created in Outlook.
What version of Exchange are you running?
If you delete one of the entries (that isn't showing on the phone) from Outlook and re-create it, does it then show up?
Are any of the missing events set in the last 2 weeks? This is the default sync period on my phone, so any events scheduled for before then won't sync.
