stock virtual keyboard v. att - Touch Pro, Fuze General

i just got my fuze yesterday so i'm still kinda new at this flashing thing.
can someone direct me to the stock att virtual keyboard file? i upgraded my att rom to the Energy 1.4 Rom but actually like the virtual keyboard that came stock with my keyboard better. thanks.
also the t9 "auto-complete" annoys me when I type via the physical slide out keyboard. is there a way i can disable it? thanks.

go to T9 options and there should be a check box saying "Enable Auto-correction in ABC Mode" un-tick the box
and then when you're in the hardware keyboard state (landscape), hit the virtual keyboard button, and there should be a little T9 on/off switch.
turn it off and you should be set

thanks. now if only i can get that virtual keyboard i'd be set. the fuze is awesome after all the tweaking.

I don't know what you are talking about. Are you referring to the stock Windows Mobile keyboard... or the 3n1 HTC Keyboard?

also the down side is you have to carry 2 bricks with you, instead of just one
personally i use my X7510 without the keyboard.
i use the on screen keyboard instead.
I have an X7500 and both Stowaway keyboards work fine with it. What problems are you having? Did you install the iGo driver?

I wonder if the hook can be cut...
get ready for a thread revival ladies and gentlemen...
has anyone gotten this to work??? i tried using my little ps3 keyboard with my nexus, device isn't seen by the phone... i read the manual for the device... to pair it with the ps3 you have to plug it in through usb... i don't see a way to get it to broadcast itself wirelessly... typing in the terminal emulation window on android sucks...
::::::::::::EDIT::::::::::::::
figured it out... you need to hold down the blue button on the top left shoulder while you turn the keyboard on... you also need to have an app the will detect the keyboard as an input device... i found one called BlueInput... works like a champ!!!

No smilies on stock keyboard?

From what I can tell the stock Samsung keyboard doesnt have a smilies button. Am I missing something?
Sent from my awesome Note 10.1
Try some other keyboards. Lots of good ones out there. I use SwiftKey Tablet, but AFAIK it doesn't have them either.

Yes but the Samsung keyboard had the additional functionality like the text recognition etc.

So do others. I have one of them, and others have voice rec, too.
There are emoticons on the stock keyboard. They can be found by pressing the 'SYM' button in the lower left of the keyboard (if not there which it should be by default then check settings) after pressing the SYM button press the page icon to the 2/2 page and they should be along the bottom row.

Lol, that's cool but one has to wonder why they buried something so often used 2 layers deep.
There not buried on the keyboard I mentioned earlier.
Multiling Keyboard is the best for me with EMOJI support....

[Q] CM10 ROM and T9 Keyboard

Hello,
yesterday I installed the CM10 rom to my Xperia Miro and I have a problem with keyboard. I try to change keyboard style to T9 like this:

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
but unfortunately they are non-exist. Is it possible to change it? Or transfer keyboard from oryginal 4.0.4 Xperia firmware to new CM10?
P500
I've the similar problem with my lg p500 on CM11.
The latinime keyboard do not support the t9 feature.
Exist the "lg ime stock" keyboard style for CM11?

Smaller on-screen keyboard?

Hello all,
Is there a way to reduce the size of the on-screen keyboard? When I'm using the tablet horizontal the dang OSK seems to take up almost 50% of the screen realestate.
Thx
-FA
You can Pinch the samsung keyboard and choose a different layout. I usually use the Thumb typing keyboard.
There are also some 3rd party keyboards with features to shrink and change it.
This is the wrong forum to post this Questions go in the questions/ help forum
1st - My apologies for posting on the wrong forum. MOD please move to correct forum.
2nd - Thank you so much! That worked. Was able to get the split and floating OSK.

I'm using the Jelly Bean Keyboard: Play store Link: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.jlsoft.inputmethod.latin.jelly.free
because i'm not on Stock Rom anymore, you can set the Button hight! and it has a Split version for Thumby keyboard

Swiftkey has a nice floating keyboard which is small and can be moved around on the screen... Plus since it's small, you can actually use the swype function usefully on a tablet.
