Do not buy 2nd gen Diamond and Touch Pro 2 Phones - General Topics

We should not buy their 2nd gen phones which are barely worth the upgrade, not to mention i would not even do an even exchange for the new phone. The only thing they improved was Touchflo which will be ported over.
Seriously give us the same camera but without flash, the TP is the reason i did not buy a separate camera since it took picture pretty decently compared to the non flash Diamond which people say camera was HORRIBLE.
Then HTC understands that no matter which phone is out as long as it is a newer not necessarily better HTC PHONE it will sell. I would hold off till a decent upgrade is up, even you Euro owners as you are probably HTCs main customers.
This would not go over in the Desktop/ Notebook area or even the camera area. So we shall not allow it to go over in the PDA phone area. Would you buy a brand spankin new dell with a Pentium 4 with new casing and some fancy bells and whistles? If yes then i recommend you seek help.
Intel however DID do something smart, yes they now release a seemingly slower 1200mhz and 1600mhz chips BUT with newer technology which is so suited actually alot faster than my older Pentium 4 3Ghz pc. Not to mention it only uses abou 20 watts of power and gives 8hr battery life, compared to the usual 2 to 3hr.
Imagine if they put that in next gen phones along with win 7.

Well i kinda agree.. they haven't upgrade any of the spesifications (without the camera for diamond2).. still qualcomm and so forth.. well tf3d will be ported over as oon as devs get their hands on any roms and so forth.. well i must say that i'm a little dissappointed .. well the touch pro2 do look very very good when it comes to the tilt feature.. both phones do have larger screens.. which makes it (maybe) possibley easier to port over se xperia features like panels and so forth.. (well not that i care about panels).. well we just need to see some more reviews.. but i am a little dissapointed when it comes to specs..

All they have done is re-case the TP and slide the keyboard up. I certainly wont be buying the new TP 2. Not for that money anyway. i will stick with my TP.

im kinda worried they will have trouble porting the new tf3d since they are wvga now and we still dont have panels on our vga devices but hopefully the wonderful devs can make it work cuz landscape tf3d on the new ones looks so nice

What ????? My contract with AT$T ( for my Tilt ) is up in April and I am on the new TP II/ Fuze II as fast as they can say, $199 and a new 2yr contract.
Phones, like computers, do not get upgraded every year, every two years or so for me. I don't think that HTC expects everyone who bought a TP or Diamond last summer to run out and buy a new TP II or Diamond II , but I do think that these phones are aimed towards those of us who bought Tilts in fall 2007. After months of " sorry, we've moved on " by many of our Kaiser brethren, it will be great to flaunt my new TP II with my new " tilt " screen.

My friends and I think that the recession is why this phone came out. Same parts, nothing much changed, but charging more money. That's my theory anyway.
And no, I don't want it. Bigger screen without a beefier processor. Terrible Gimped Keyboard. No Flash. No front D-Pad. Nothing I want there.
Also I got my Fuze in November, and AT&T sure as hell wouldn't let me get a new phone so soon. American Contracts are stupid, but so is the price of phones without a contract.

i'm with you on this, main reason i didnt get a fuze is because i love my tilting screen. this provides me the fuze+tilt so i'm buying it day one att gets it.

same reason that I could care less about the extra features. Battery life is worse.
Only thing I like is the tilting screen, the integrated tf3d is awesome though, and the better resolution screen. That's it. No flash, no better camera, no wm6.5, no better ram or processor, etc. I hate the look of the keyboard.

HTC have said they'll provide WM6.5 ROM updates to both the TP2 and the Diamond2.
The Diamond2 is a smaller version of the Blackstone, and the TP2 is the love child of the TP and a Blackstone.
I got a Diamond last time round, and will probably be getting a TP2 this year for the tilty goodness and the gorgeous looking screen.

Okay I agree with some points like:
1. if you can put a 5 MP cam in the Diamond 2 why not in the Touch Pro 2?? There is even more room for it! Furthermore I saw somebody wrote that they took away the cam on the front, dude, check your eyes, the cam is still there man! Furthermore it has FM radio, read somewhere that somebody complained it didn't, well it has!
2. The rest of the features are a little the same, conference mode is cool and also the speaker phone option, nice for handsfree calling...
3. I love the fact is has a bigger screen! Great for navigating in the car, browsing etc....
4. I agree that maybe this model is aimed for those who purchased or got a Tilt in the summer/fall 2007 and who's contract is expiring this summer/fall which might explain why this model has a tilted screen feature. I really loved this feature and really miss it with my Touch Pro!
5. The design I find is awesome, it gets a 10 from me, face it guys, stop winding, they delivered on the design part! Especially the weight has been reduced as well as the thickness, its just awesome, give the people some credit at the design department will you?!
I traded my Tilt for a Touch Pro last Christmas, so since my contract is ending in the fall (after 2 years), I will surely get this phone, and take a 1 year contract with it just in case they come with a newer model next year that totally blasts away this one! I guess the model of next year will have:
- a better processor 1 ghz or higher for example
- 1 GB ram and 512 or more MB ROM ?
- same screen I guess, WVGA is awesome man!
- 5 MP camera
- I hope they keep the tilt screen feature....
- I like the new TouchFLO3D as well, awesome!
- for the rest, I'm contented with the features, just needs more power!
Furthermore, dudes, to be honest with you, WM 6.5 looks disgusting!!!! When I saw it it almost made me hurl! I will wait for WM 7 and bypass 6.5.... they can't be seriously contemplating on bringing that fugly OS system man!
This was just my 2 cents on the matter, so I will be getting this phone come fall!

We may be looking at capacitive touch screens on these devices. That and the tilt feature on the TP2 will probably have me upgrading....

Is it just me or do you guys find the new Diamond and Touch Pro's kinda ugly compared to the current ones?! :O The metal casing and round corners turn me off, I love the look of the current Diamond and TP, they look more clean and streamlined with the flat black plastic and squarish corners. And there's no D-pad
Also the new TP is freaking HUGE, its almost like carrying a UMPC in your pocket.

Sure beats carrying both a laptop and a phone. I, believe it or not, think the fuze is too small, considering the weight. I was more comfortable holding my tilt than the fuze. I liked the "tilt" of the screen, also. No d-pad? I got over that with my omnia. I'll miss having the flash, though-- no htorch!

Yes indeed it does beat carrying two devices, but the fact that its a phone and not a laptop is what really bothers me about the size, although the TP isnt all that much smaller (well I just contradicted myself, didnt I ). But I do know what you mean about the Tilt being more comfortable, I also prefer phones that fit in my hand, thats why I hate such phones as the Motorola Razr, its just too dang skinny. Thats why I still favor my ETEN M600 over most 'normal' phones.
Maybe not having a D-pad is just one those things that you have to get used I guess, like you did with the Omnia, but Id still like to have a D-pad

Are you people under four feet? The Fuze feels nice in my hands. It's solid, it's built well, it's uniform in colour and design (especially with a black theme) and it's not flimsy in the slightest. I can feel it in my pocket too.
Now, I would like a larger screen, but everything else on the TP2 is not pretty looking. Also AT&T doesn't have 1 year plans.

In Holland we can choose between a 1 or 2 year contract, the difference is, with a 2 year you get it for free, with a 1 year you have pay a minimal amount... If in 2010 they come with a newer version with higher specs, then you have the choice to upgrade. I too feel that although the current TP is solid, compact etc. its a lot smaller than the kaiser/tilt and that did feel better in the hand. They can't please everyone but I do fine the design a lot better, but thats personal....

I was just looking at the TP2 on the HTC website, thinking that maybe or at least the processor speed was upgraded, but nothing. Not even the memory capacity. The only upgrade that I see is just the look of it, the "outside". So I guess I will agree on not getting one until they actually come with a better (not only looking), faster, bigger capacity and newer technology phone. Then I'll think about spending few hundred dollars on a new one.

Pardon the ignorance but, what do you mean by "capacitive" touchscreens?
I understand is a new tech, but what does it do?

Is HTC Diamond a good new Phone to get ?

I been struggling between these new phone, and wondering which is the best to get. I'm leaning toward Diamond since I could get it by tomorrow, but heard many bad things with it's battery life, lack of memory card slot, and such. So can anyone tell me if I should get the Diamond or should I just give it alittle wait for something else ?
HTC Touch Diamond, HTC Touch HD, Samsung Omnia, IPhone 3G, Sony Ericsson XPERIA X1, Andoid? ......... etc.
Thanks in advance !
The diamond is a decent choice for a new phone, however if you can afford it, hold out for the Touch HD, Xperia, Or Dream/G1.
Those 3 phones will be the most killer handsets to hit the market this year.
Touch Diamond is right below them, still making a great handset. But go with a more powerful device if you can. They become outdated quickly.
The thing with the touch HD is that is is almost exactly the same spec to the touch pro including the same chipset and battery, combined with a massive screen the HD must draw more power, its basic physics and since it uses the same chipset its doubtful it will have much in the way of more power efficency so to the point the battery must be pretty poor compared to a pro.
So Yes the HD sounds great but the battery question needs to be answered first
Diamond in my opinion is a bit to small and the battery is very poor otherwise its very good
Pro is a bit more chunky than the diamond but is actually much the same size as previous generation of phones even with a keyboard its smaller than an O2 Orbit.
Iphone looks nice, and does its job well, but in my opinion its poor quality your very limited in what you can do with it and i wouldnt touch it with a barge pole due to its big brother style atitude to software, music and phone contract.
the other two i have no experiece with so cant really comment, for me im going to see how i like the Pro when O2 releases it, hopefully the question on HD battery life can be answered by then, then i can make my mind up.
As stated above, wait for the last models of 2008:
Omnia, HD, G1, Xperia
And after that you can make your choice
Diamond is not bad, but there are much better models
Depends on how much you want to spend.............
Diamonds are forever!
I know people go on about the Diamonds' battery life, but considering the power and size of this little device, I wouldn't consider it useless!
I get a good two days use out of mine... a few calls, loads of internet browsing, WiFi use, games, and music via a bluetooth headset. I really don't think that's bad. Let's face it, the only phones that last a week on one charge these days are feeble lack-lustre, brick sized devices.
Another point to remember is that because the TF3D interface is sooo much fun to play with, people are probably using their Diamonds' a whole lot more than their previous devices, therefore giving the impression that the battery life is poor.
The Touch HD does look good, but remember it's bigger and will be more power hungry! I think the Diamond is the best in it's class... best size... best specs... best TFT... I LOVE IT!!!
I was researching the HTC Touch Diamond and Touch Pro; But I have now pre-ordered the HTC Touch HD due to it's spec's & state-of-art design!

My Orbit can last up to ~8 hours using its GPS on a standard 1250 battery
HTC Touch Diamond according to HTC, will last 2 hours, even taking in to account battery sizes, the diamond isnt very power economical.
But your right, dont use the GPS and the phone isnt to bad, indeed it would probably last as long as my orbit so in that respect it does a a good job, the problem with that way of thinking is if i leave it on my desk in standby and never use it at all it will last for a week or more
but seriously its a great little PDA and if size is important than thats a winner, if high usability is, than perhaps its not the phone for you.

Thats a bold thing to do, unreviewed, unproven apart from a couple of vids an a few snaps, ignoring the bigger screen and the better camera that the HD has and the keyboard that the Pro has they are identical i believe, oh not forgetting the 3.5mm jack on the HD.
What im concerned about is the battery on the HD, running that thing may take a lot more juice an the pro wasnt great in the first place.
Thats a bold gamble, one i think i'll wait until the reviews start flying about giving ideas of its good and bad points.
Thank alot for the reply guys !
I have decided just to get the Diamond since it's a decent phone and I could get my hand on it right now. I'll pass on those new phones since they might have the same flaw or even more problems. I'll be a proud owner of Diamond in a few hours.

[Q] Fuze really worth it!?

Hi, I see a few people complaining about how the TouchPRO is better than the ATT Fuze, because of X and Y reason. I saw a few reviews on you tube, and read a few topics in here.
I have a Few Qs:
-The screen of the FUZE/touch pro, is it hard (like the iphone) or is it soft (like the TILT screen) ??
-Read or see somewere that ATT take out the YouTube "program" (or what ever that is called), is that true!?? so the Fuze users cant use the "cool" youtube app the TouchPro has?
-I have a Tilt, should I buy the Fuze!?
-anything else i need to know before buying it!??
thanks 4 your help
1. Fuze is worth it. TP isn't. Fuze is $200 cheaper. Big difference. Unless you don't care
2. The screen is harder than the tilt, but softer than the iPhone
3. Youtube program is in the /Windows folder, Aee tee n tee just decided to take it out from the Internet tab on TF3D and from the Start menu
4. Yeah. I had a tilt, I still have a tilt, but I bought the fuze. So much better. Loving it since Nov 12.
5. Finger print magnet. Don't drop it. Get a case and invisibleSHIELD for it.
6. Also. Some of these has been asked before. Please search
There are benefits to both, if you really want the device go for it and be happy. Either one is a good phone.
I wanted to get the Fuze because I want 3g support. I have no regrets about it or their changes to the device really.
The Tilt has some good Roms for it and I know a few people who have held back upgrading because they did not feel the price was worth it for just looks when they could get their Tilts to work similarly. Upgraded hardware not mentioned by them.
Kraize;
Do you know where the list or shortcuts are pulled from for the "All Programs" button on the programs tab? I want to add YouTube to that vs my start menu but cant seem to locate that full list. At least not yet...
The Fuze is the better deal.. unless of course you have tmobile in an area that doesn't have 3G and are willing to shell out an extra $250 for a front camera.. then get the TP.
Because I've made my Fuze nothing short of the HTC Touch Pro, except for the camera.. and of course minor differences in housing (the back is very glossy)... which i change the housing to my phones every 4 months.. so it doesn't matter
thanks guys, the thing is that I have to b uy it to ATT at the full price, cause I dont even have 1 year on my 2 year comitment I made last december
I forgot to say that, so for me both the TOUCH PRO and FUZE cost basically the same.
I got the fuze today. THe phone it self is good but ATT sucks >_< im gona return it in a few weeks so i can actually benfit payn for the first month...

Go with the Fuze if you're in an area with AT&T 3G service. The Touch Pro doesn't support AT&T's 3G bands. It's that simple.
If you're comfortable enough with ROM flashing, you can make your Fuze exactly into a Touch Pro (with a PTT button on the side and no front camera) or you can get a cleaner, smooth-running AT&T ROM by installing the NATF Fuze ROM here on the ROM dev forum. This is highly recommended because AT&T limits the speed on the Fuze to UMTS, but their network and the Fuze are HSDPA-capable. It's still pretty snappy even with the stock ROM.
Read my info here to help with your decision too:

Talk to the store managers. I was 11 months into my 2 year on att. They let me have it for 299 and just added 13 months to my contract to make it 2 years again. They can do it without any hassle if they want to. Sold my tilt for 225 so it only cost me 75 bucks to upgrade (that and another 24 months stuck on att again)

Front Camera
Hi everyone.
This forum is amazing.
I read XDA almost everyday .
The only complain I have for the FUZE is why they removed the Front Camera.
That is the only part I can complain about the FUZE after having a cook rom on it.
I bought a Tilt with AT&T contract extension in late October, and then returned it under AT&T's 30-day return policy in order to buy the Fuze. Overall, I'm very happy I made the switch. I much prefer the form factor of the Fuze (totally flat front, smaller more manageable size), and the VGA screen is awesome. Upgraded hardware specs are nice, but frankly haven't given any noticeable performance difference over the Tilt.
The things I don't like about the Fuze are as follows:
- Glossy finish (prefer hard-rubberized surface)
- Screen is "hard", requiring more effort than the softer Tilt screen
- Although I still can't believe that this flaw passed the HTC design team, the back of the HTC phone is not flat, but has this lame Diamond pattern with little ridges that prevent the phone from lying flat on a desk.
- Fewer hard buttons than Tilt, and no jog wheel (admittedly, I've gotten used to the Fuze layout and don't miss the lack of hard buttons).
- I think TouchFlo3D is lame, and finally removed it from my device yesterday. I prefer the HTC Home interface from the Tilt (which I'm now using on my Fuze).
The AT&T Fuze was, for me, very slow out-of-the-box. I flashed a cooked HTC Rom, and I've very pleased with the results. Although I thought the Tilt was an awesome phone, I don't miss it one bit. I like to keep cell phones for at least 3 years (preferably 4), so wanted something with the best hardware specs that should hold up well over time.

Samsung Omnia II Verizon

Anyone have this phone? My XV6800 feel in water so I am looking at the Ominia II or the TP2. I need to order today. Was hoping to use my NE2 discount next year with Windows Mobile 7 but I guess now I will just pay full price.
The Omnia II looks nice with the OLED screen, camera flash, 5MP camera, and fast processor (compared to the old ones in TP2). But there is no keyboard and it looks like you cannot turn off Touch Wiz. But other then that is seems less outdated tech then the TP2 (which has a great keyboard, speakerphone, and awesome xda support).
So yeah anyone with experience with the Omnia II it would be greatly apperciated. Hopfully whatever phone I get, it arrives no later then Tuesday.
edit: Forget about it, just going to get TP2 while I wait for WM7...

Omnia2 much better
And of course you can turn off TouchWiz
Although it's too late now, you could always drop an eye on Omnia Pro i.e. OmniaII+keyboard (almost), and off course, much much CHEAPER than TP2.
Yeah too late but also the Ominia Pro is not on Verizon at least now. I read that at least the Verizon version of Omnia II turning off Touchwiz only disables the cube or something. I did see HTC sense on it but it looked laggy for now.
My keys (almost all of them) on my XV6800 are working (still call, end, and most buttons minus the standby butt is not working). But the day it didn't I could not stand to text for a long time with just the screen (especially on a resistive. So ultimately that is why I went with the TP2.
I was not excited at all for the TP2 mainly since I convinced myself to skip it and hold out with my XV6800 until WM7 is out. But today I am really excited for the TP2. It will be nice to finally have a screen higher then QVG and more RAM . Still wish it had a camera flash. I guess my wait for WM7 will be a tad easier now. At this point I would not mind paying full price if we get something like the HD2 with a keyboard late next yeah. So yeah hurry up Fedex (tommorow is the day)!

Tera Vs TP2 (Rhodium)

Hi All,
I went to the shop today looking for a new phone, originally it was to be the HD2, but the phone is just way too big for my liking.
I am now back to square one as I held back getting the Rhodium thinking the HD2 would be the one for me.
I have now see the Tera and was wondering if it is worth the wait, and if it is technically better. (I don't mind the smaller screen in comparison to the Rhodium)
Please could you guys advise me.
Cheers,
Jason

I personally would not go for a screen smaller than 3.5" so I prefer Rhodium
Tera pros: 3.6mm, a slightly better processor, but other than that they are almost the same.
Rhodium for me
Get the TP2 or the HD2 depending on your keyb pref. See there respective sections for all the scoop!
i perfer tp2 since i am using video call and second camera is needed.

There is no front camera on the Tera? Hmmm, but I dont use 3G calls anyways.
The slightly better processor is the only thing that's keeping me waiting right now.
I also prefer that the Tera is smaller.
Do you think it will be noticeable.
Also do you think there will be a large price premium when it comes out? TP2 has dropped a lot in price now and is a good excuse to get one.
Glad to know it helped
Well all devices when first launched are high priced, then comes a new model and prices go down, that is the way this days...
And everyday faster the "old" devices go down, even if they don´t have a year
I´ll stay with Rhodium (I payed a fair price back in october) till something really really good and a great improvement then I´ll go for it!
Perhaps a Touch Pro 3 in 2011
Hey again,
I'm pretty much on the verge of buying a TP2 now. Bidding on eBay waiting for the right price.
Any last remarks about why I should wait for the Tera? (I'm bidding really low haha)
How superior is the HD2 compared to the TP2? Will you be able to run ROM's like the HD2 on the TP2?
Thanks!
Also check Marketplace, there are a couple of Rhodiums there in a fair price
As said before I would go for Rhodium, Tera is not for me really.
Leo is better in processor and size screen, have a look on pdadb.com to see a full specs comparative.
That will depend if you need a hardware keyboard or not
Good luck and let us know what you´ve got

Shopping...so many choices. Please weigh in.

Back story - I have a HTC Fuze (Raphael) and it was my first advanced smart phone. Been on those little grey screen nokias until this phone. So I totally got into the whole fuss and fury of hacking the heck of phone. But as time has progressed it seem I may have gotten one of the worst HTC phones made. For a bit I even decided to dislike all HTC's on that basis alone. Anyway, I finally settled on just a basic ROM and a few addon's. The most important for this phone (and AT&T service) was the ability from Advanced Config to lock my phone to Edge. (Yep been on Edge now for 1.5yrs as 3G would never hold on this phone. )
This past weekend I was THIS close to putting this thing into a wall. I have rebooted at least 10 times in last week for lost TOWER (not just signal), non-responsive screen, and complete freezes.
Went window shopping today. Here are the results and hoping to get feedback of all kinds. (I need more than the sales person's comments...) Please talk about service and phone if you feel like.
HTC Aria (AT&T) - Small, well tiny actually. Almost as small a screen as my Fuze. It is Android so that is a plus as I think I am burnt on WinMo. Very nice screen and decent functionality [in store]. Heard a rumor about bad speakers on this.
iPhone 4 (AT&T) - I actually tried the 3G but hated it so much I returned it for the Fuze. This was before the OS release that allowed landscape keyboard and MMS. (No need for nekkid pics of GF to be on AT&T site and me not to be able to download.) The 4 looks interesting, but not sure I like the iPhone premise really. I do not want a zillion aps to waste time. I just need about 4...map/weather/....ok two I can think of... The screen is freeking incredible though and the sales guy was right, you can read a web page without zooming with the letters basically at a 2 font size...that is good.
HD2 (T-Mobile) - HUGE screen and this is one of my top request for next phone. I want lots of real estate. I am 6'1" 240lbs and a power lifter, I have thick fingers and a big head... Small phones are like me on a Vespa. The TMo version of this phone 'sounds' like it is very limited (according to threads here). Also heard stuff about that pink stripe in pics. I like that camera is 5megapixel but really want the pics to look ok. It is still a WinMo phone and that is a bummer, but not a deal killer I guess. (Is it 6.5 or 6.1? The ladies in store were clueless.)
Evo (Sprint) - Again with the giant screen, love it. This is the top of my list for phone choices at moment, but there is one non-phone related issue here. No international coverage for a CDMA phone and I tend to travel once in a while. (Have to find out if worth it to get a second pre-paid or whatever next time I travel.) The Evo is Android and I think it is time for me to try that out. The camera is EIGHT megapixels and I basically use my camera as a back up to my point and shot. Like for real...when on a motorcycle sometimes the camera is out of reach...the phone substitutes when I am not ready to park and dig in saddle bags. 4G is not really a yes/no for me as I probably won't have it in my neighborhood and will most likely go to 3G for most of my use of phone (Dude in store said you can set phone to not use 4G.)
So my wish list is....big screen, good software, great camera, good reception, decent costs. Weighed in that order for me.
Thoughts? Help a confused shopper out.
(ps...I am just guessing this a good forum for this post. Mods let me now if it needs moved.)
Has to be HD2 great pice of kit yes its 6.5 and there are a lot of good roms in the hd2 thread that get the best out of the device IMO
Evo4 and HD2 are basically the same phone with different radio chips. Only issue I have with the Evo is the battery life is supposed to be rated in minutes not hours. LOL being a little sarcastic but I heard its not good at all. I personally think the tmo HD2 is better then the unlock int version. Has more memory and says tmobile on it and all. By far my vote is the HD2. Plays any video I download on the internet thats under 2GB with sound in sync and no dropped frames, touch screen rivals the iphone, they just cracked the linux kernal for it so we should see a usable port of android within months. Plus I'm not sold on winmo7. I think like XP we may see cooked roms taking peices of WINMO7 and cooking them into 6.5. But anyways think back with Winmo first came out and how buggy it was. If WM7 is a true rebuild then all our cool players, and mods won't work on it so even if WM7 comes out in Oct 10 I could see holding off till 2012 to make the switch. At least till the software catches up. I think when WM7 comes out your going to find were actually quite spoiled when it comes to apps and phone stuff. Also I signed up for Tmobile Flex pay plan with 500 daytime minutes, unlimited TXT and unlimited data for $68 total tax included. Service has been great! Faster then Verizon and ATT but doesn't tower hop as well. Occasionally I will run through my buffer before the next tower really takes over. This just results in 5 seconds of silence or blacked out video ,then it comes back.
Ok, so two votes for the HD2. Wanna hear the emotional/silly arguement I am having with self...HD2 already old tech.
Yep, do I want to miss out on 1ghz and 8 megapixels....grrr.
Done....money laid down...sexiest phone I have had is now mine. I couldn't decide. I was even thinking about waiting for the new Samsung or Droid X.
I let fate decided. First one avail I was taking.
I know have the Evo!!!!
All I can say...(and I have)...is Giggidy giggidy!!!
3 votes for Leo
Leo is a great device, super screen and fast enough to run smoothly WM6.5.3
I am sure Chefs and Devs @XDA will manage some how to port WP7 on it
For what its worth I heard the Evo4 is BA! Only gripe I've heard is battery life and this can be minimized by settings and an extended pack. You'll enjoy it. Hell its the same phone as the HD2 but different radio.
Go with the Samsung Galaxy S on T-Mobile.
Leaked pictures have shown that it will be sold at retail for 329.99 USD.
Super AMOLED + a kickass GPU that blows (currently) the GPU used in the iPad and the iPhone4.
With the 1 Ghz hummingbird chip currently besting the Snapdragon (until Qualcomm releases their dual-core update later this year through Project Emerald?), it is the best bang for your buck money can buy right now.
However, the HD2 has the sexiest shell-design you'll ever see in a phone. The Galaxy S will feel a little plasticky and cheap compared to the HD2. Even the EVO looks subpar against the HD2. That's how much love we're talking here with regards to the HD2's shell design.
i wish i had the freedom to change networks whenever i wanted, the evo looks like a beast of a phone and the epic 4g looks pretty sweet as well.
