Hi!
i am sorry if this has been posted before...
my xda orbit went dead on me...
i got a new battery and it will still not charge....when plugged in instead of the green light/ indicating that it is charging, there is a red light for a bit and it then goes off...
I have not managed to turn it on for a few weeks now...
I still have the insurance, but I was wondering if anyone has any ideas please!
thanks,
P

Have you charged your battery? How old is your device? Most probably your battery is defective.
tricky battery cap
I found that the xda goes off, if the cap of the batterie opens even slightly (less than a millimeter)...
ive had this happen when you install something that the PPC doesnt like, a broken program etc.
on a few occasions SBP pocket plus saved me by starting in safe mode so i can uninstall a few things.

The battery cover has a tab that pushes the lever of the microswitch in the bottom right side (when device is face down).

same problem to my brother..
the battery is almost dead.. just change your battery
So I just got my replacement Touch Pro (t7272). and everything's working great, but the LED on the phone is not blinking at all... not at start up or anything... am I losing it or isn't there suppose to be a blinking LED in the earpiece?
My Kaiser had software to change the color of the LED depending on the response (msg, missed call, etc...), but can't find the app now...
really? 18 views, and no one can even tell me if they have a blinking led in the ear piece?

THANK YOU! I may have lost it, but thats the first step to getting it back.
go ahead and lock/close thread
I had a little water ingress recently and my TP started vibrating and rebooting. I managed to dry it out and get it charged and it seems to work okay. Only problem is the rear light is on permanently. This will drain the battery in no time.
Any ideas how I can turn it off ?
Thanks in advance,
DBo.
Please help...
No one ?
I noticed that the light is coming on as soon as the battery is put into the handset. It doesn't even need to be switched on!
Thanks, DBo.

Its definitely shorted. Does going into Camera and trying ot turn it off work?
Have you tried an aftermarket "flashlight" program to mess with the settings?
Thanks
Thanks.
Yes, I've tried turning it on and off in Camera mode. No joy.
I may have to try and find an after market flash control. Any pointers ?
Cheers, DBo.
No luck so far...
Ozzy's Actions screen (whilst an excellent piece of software in itself) didn't solve my problem.
Sorted itself
Very strange, but I took my handset abroad with me and at some point it must have completely dried out as it is now working properly again and the battery life is back to normal (i.e. poor but not abysmal).
Cheers, DBo.
screen cracked on my Droid. So I ordered a new one. Replacment went well! I tore it down and the new screen worked fine except the home, menue, search, back keys didn't respond. So i ordered another one since obviously I got a defective.
I recieved the newest one today. So i tore it down again and replaced the screen once again. Problem is now that all I get is a blank screen. Droid powers up, screen lights up, but no M appears.
Any suggestions? Thanks in advance!

You kinda posted in the wrong section, but ill help you anyways.
Are you getting any feedback at all?
Does the screen power?
Can you unlock it blindly?
If not leave it in a charger for a few hours.
Also check your display cable for the lcd

hey guys i tried to turn on my tf300 last night but it wouldnt turn on at all, at first i thought the battery was dead so i put it on charge but the the led on the power button didnt come on so i thinking after 2 and a half years it was dead, but after trying a few random things i pulled the back off to see if anything looked obviously wrong but at first i didnt see anything, then i noticed a tiny little on/off switch that was set to on so i though i might as well try moving it to off and then when i tried to connect the charger the led flashed orange twice and when i tried to turn it on it flashed twice again so i flicked the switch back to on and it worked my tf300 lives again, so to anyone who thinks there tablet is dead try that as it might just work
Where is this on off switch located? I had my tablet die on me last year. I sent it to Asus but they tried to charge me double for the repair. I declined and had them send it back. When I got it back it started right up and has been working fine ever since.

It is to turn off power to components so you can service it. Like when replacing a camera, motherboard, etc.
