How come my Windows Moivle 6.1 does not look like this?

I dont get it. I upgraded my treo 750 to windows moible 6.1 or at least that is what it says on the screen. But it looks nothing like this. My windows mobile 6.1 looks like windows 5.0.
Where did i go wrong? It looks nothing like this.

That version of Windows Mobile 6.1 is the standard version for Smartphones (what Microsoft calls non-touchscreen phones). You have a touch screen phone and thus it gets the professional version of 6.1. Unfortunately the professional version of 6.1 didn't get many UI changes. 6.5 however did. Hope this helps.

That makes sense. Kind of stupid I think might as well install the non touch screen version. It looks better.
The 6.5 is not the official wm. I heard its not stable..
I'm not that advance in this installing thing. I dont want to mess it up.

Why isn't there a ROM cooked for TREO? Does the ROM for the Wing work on the TREO?

there are a lot of aplications that change the looks of your windows mobile 6.1, those are what most people call skins, just like the one's you use in windows xp or vista...
the windows mobile cooked roms are normaly reduced to it's basics so they run faster and stay more stable, and of course give you more available memory.
if you realy want your treo to look all "fancy" you can google for it, or look deeply in this forum, you will find a lot of cool skins and aplications for your pda.

Hey i've just bought a SPV M600. Instantly wanted to upgrade WM5 to WM6.1
and thanks to this site, i upgraded successfully. thankyou to everyone. Now that i've got the perfect os for my phone, i was wondering whether anybody could recommend me some good applications/programs. The OS looks so good, but i havent got any good programs? suggestions please.

What is the best 6.5 rom for i900 omnia which will give me more free ram and let the finger mouse to run smoothly??

must say since i installed this rom from a htc i cannot install omnia only software on it,mmmm.. :/

I dont know your Country....but the best Cook for Omnia is Tom33.....just Google him....he made the best ROMs for Omnia ever.....

I'm a little confused I have a German HTC Touch Pro and I asked HTC-support if it is possible to upgrade my WM 6.1 to 6.5 They denied it.
Is it possible?

If You mean original WM6.5 OS, for Raphael, then it isn't possible right now, but...if You use cooked ROM (non-official) then it's possible, HTC support wouldn't recommend You this.

almost all the cooked roms are WM 6.5, the official one won't work but the cooked versions are better anyway imo......

Who wants official rom? only if my tp is broken& i need guarantee ;-)
