Hey i've just bought a SPV M600. Instantly wanted to upgrade WM5 to WM6.1
and thanks to this site, i upgraded successfully. thankyou to everyone. Now that i've got the perfect os for my phone, i was wondering whether anybody could recommend me some good applications/programs. The OS looks so good, but i havent got any good programs? suggestions please.

Just check each version and pick the one with the features you need.
Yeah! good question and best answer is check all the roms available here one by one all yourself.
My experience is 6.1 pro by Kamikadze is the best with all taste of PPC but you need some tweaking/mapping hard keys to functions of your prefer.
OK don't trust anybody .. you are the best judge.

For me it WM6.1 Plane Jane Final as long as you install it properly
IMHO at this time WM6.1 Clean 5.2.19202 (Build 19202.1.0.0) Eval is best 6.1 rom.
Why?
-plain and clean, no custom graphics, themes etc.
-no custom apps - everybody have own favourite apps...
-FAST !!
Of course if You don't mind lack of xt9 (beside EN or RU) and a bit troubling controls the best is WM6.1 PRO RC5!!!made by Kamikadze

Yep, the best ROM should be at least Clean and Fast....

There really is no way of telling that 'cos you don't know what people have installed. And to be honest, as others have said in this thread, it's all down to personal taste. You have to try them all and see which one suits your needs / or appeals to you. My personal opinion is that WM6 is more stable on the Tornado than WM6.1, although I do like the additional features you get with 6.1... it doesn't cost you anything to try the ROM's, apart from a little time.
One giveaway to the most used, is the ROM's with the most posts
Yeah, you're right. And regardign the WM6.1 Standard Vs. the WM6.1 PRO... how is the balance? The PRO is a bit of a gamble in a Tornado, ins't it? I'd say most people will go the safe way and choose Standard?

I got my SDA about 10 days ago and wanted to upgrade from WM5 to WM6.
Installed:
1. WM6 English ROM Platinum Edition (Service Pack 1) OS 5.2.1711.18165.0.5.0

It's NOT WM6.1 , too many programs I don't need. Seems to have to many buggy menus. Didn't like it.

This one is 6.1, quite nice, has cool progs. It felt slow and unresponsive and I didn't like home menu and didn't want to bother editing it

I'm almost about to buy the Vox. It comes with WM 6.0, is it wise to flash it to WM6.1?
Wich rom would be the best? Depens on what apps i need?
And is it possible to play gameboy emulators with it?

Personally I'm running the Lefab47 Fireburned WM6.1 ROM
12 months in the VOX is still hands down the best phone Ive ever owned.
6.1 is a definate yes - its a big improvement
I would also suggest getting one of the XIP 20202 core roms as this addresses on of my only 2 gripes with the VOX, namely the speed - it was slightly underpowered, however with the new core speed is no longer an issue its greatly improved so my only remaining grip is that the camera could be better - but hey its almost perfect.
DO BUY ONE - they are seriously good

just updated to Gullums Touch flow 2D http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=460886 but my Prophet has turned slower and touchflow has to be restarted after every couple of minutes.
So please help me in selectng a good ROM

I have xv6700 and wanted to know what was the best 6.1 rooms for this phone that didnt have any issues.
depending on your bootloader give my 6.1 rom a try ive had no issues with it

he cooks 6.1 roms too but his 6.5 roms are really nice not slow at all and the titanium interface is great for this phone where its low on memory and would have trouble running m2d or spb mobile shell 3

i agree, im using his 6.5 and its much better then 6.1 and forget M2D, now that's a real memorry killer, it was designed for the newer phones that have 3 times as much as the good old ppc 6700

I own an old SDA Music (HTC Amadeus) and would like to give a new look to it. Is there any User Interface like HTC Home, SPBShell for devices without touchscreen running WM 2003? I tried Grgory´s HTCHome clone but it doesn´t work for me. Iwould be glad if someone knew about this, let me know!!!! Thanks a lot

I doubt ull find anything to give it a new look, ur best bet is to flash WM 6.1 on it, it is excellent, i flashed my old SP3(Typhoon) and works very well. Flashing those old phones is a bit tricky but worth it, the rom is here:
