http://www.google.dk/search?hl=da&h...ial_s&q=avi+to+animated+gif+converter&spell=1
avi to gif converter search string
guess it comes down to if the 3th party program which show pictures when the phone rings support animated gif's which again i dont believe support sound
in which case a 3th party program to play the sound part pr. contact
would be required
would be hard to get it sync though
if the program is to support some nokia format insted of animated gifs i guess somebody would have to develop a new 3th party contact spc ringtone/video viewer which supported the format
that is if nokia use an open format
or the developers would have to reverse engineer the format
guess could be a big job so it's supply and demand which set the pace really
Hi Rudegear,
This feature is only for Nokia series 60 phones...and there's 3rd party software viz Video Tones/Watchtones etc..
What they do is these Run in the background and as per the settings done earlier by user, it loads a 3GPP/MPEG-4 video(No AVI)..
So if we can make a programme viz... Photocontacts which RUN in the system tray and load a video when there is a call...and I think Buzz,Vijay or may be u can easily make it.

thanks...

Hi!!!!
This works only in 2003/2003SE
1) Get hold on a convertor which will convert AVI/MPEGs to GIF...or as a trial u can use any GIF file(Animation).
2) From yr Photocontacts App...select a contact and assign that newly made GIF Animation.
3) U can then check with the Preview option available and confirm the PhotoCaller ID.
I hope this is helpful

No need to install additional software as suggested by Bechai. Asim's method is enough.

Wrong. O2 XDA mini use WE2003 so it can not be done as your way. The simple way for this topic as I had, install TCPMP soft. In Options>setting>select page>File associations then click MPEG Audio files or what kind of music files which you want to set as your XDA ringtones.
CHEER!!!
Thanks... viet......
just copy the Mp3 to the rings folder in windows.. works just fine for O2 mini.. no problems at all
Mine worked but no longer...

I have a O2 MINI. ROM 1.11.00 Radio 1.12
I had installed this fine and the mp3 tones were working jsut fine, till a few days back, i was installing applications like Fonix voice and Audionotes etc.... then i unistalled audionotes, and a few other applications and games i longer used.... and then all of a sudden my Mp3 ringtones stopped working.
when i click on the ringtone, it says that there is no application associated with this file or it is corrupt. But then when i open windows media players and open the same file it works 100%. I then installed tcpmp and associated the mp3 files.
then when i click on it, it says that the file is not found make sure that the path etc is correct or not, but when u open it individually in the player it works.....
Help me out, what should i do.... i must have deleted another file that day or something....
What should i do... help me? Would a Hard Reset work.
Thanx in advance
have u copid ur mp3s to ur rings folder or play it someother way? in mini al u need to do is copy the mp3 to the windows.rings folder and then access them through the phone setting.. sweet n simple

Streaming Media / Coreplayer

Hi,
I have a quick question / favor to ask. I often times like to stream audio and sometimes video on my device. Sadly, the site I use refuses to work with WMP on the phone. I believe it is an asx stream.
I believe CorePlayer supports this stream, but before I go out and buy it, can someone please be kind enough and verify for me if this stream will play? http://www.megastacja.net/kanaly/CLUB/club.asx
Thank you
PS. I would have checked it myself if there was a demo... sheeee...sh. lol.

The best I can tell. No. CorePlayer won't even allow me to choose a *.flv file from the Open Menu... hidden out.

Windows system sound killed -> Error 0xc00d0012

Hi all,
i have a strange problem with the windows system sounds that does not seem to be ROM specific and here it comes:
Fresh installed device with own assigned system sounds (all wav files copied into the windows device folder) = Everything okay.
After a while (mostly some days) when the system sound is due, it only plays that short default "beep" instead of the assigned sound. The setting in the registry is still as okay as the sound setting itself.
When you open the specific wav file in Media player, it says: "Error 0xc00d0012"
Overwriting the file with a working one solves it temporarily again.
In my case it is the sound for IM+ messenger (when contacts go offline). It does not matter what sound you choose for this event.
I have read threads in other forums where users have the same problem but with other windows events/sounds so i don't know if this is to blame IM+...
What the hell is going on there ?
Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.
Regards,
Scholler
I also have a similar issue, which I noticed only happening since the rom was upgraded by Vodafone.
I have a wav file set as new text message, but after a day or so, all I get is a beep. The file is unplayable but is you over write this file with a saved version, then it works again for another day or so.
Does it need to be a WMA file instead?
cheers
Neil
Hi Wheelie,
i don't think so but i will try it with a wma and see how it will behave...
Merry xmas,
Scholler
Okay, i tried it with a wma and it looks better now...
But i really don't understand why...
