Hi guys!
Does anybody knows how to tell Uni to don't turn off while on a call? If a call lasts more than the decided turn off time in the power options, it takes more than a while to get up when I want to stop conversation...
Is there a way to make the device just turn off backlight and don't go to sleep?
Thank you...
Any suggestion?

look for an app called "Unsleep" made by Blade2032 on Development & Haking section, it works great for what you need.
Hope it helped,

Thank you!
Unfortunately, seems that program only deactivate sleeping mode for a longer time, it's not linkable to something. So, my phone will not sleep for i.e. 10min everytime, not only when on call...

i am reposting this to general forum, maybe someone will have any idea here...
My problem really is that from time to time screen turns off/freezes because of faulty connector tape between it and main unit (as far as I know). for the time being I can't fix it so I have to live with it. When this happens all I have to do is to press standby twice, so it is not very hard, except for the fact that when I put Wizard into standby, wifi disconnects, and I have to wait for it to connect again. Now this is very annoying! My question is whether it is possible to disable this, so that wifi stays on even when I press standby, maybe a simple registry hack or dedicated application... any ideas?

yes, i would like to know this too, anyone?
Hi all,
I've searched for ways to put the phone into power save / standby if you miss a call but can't find anything. I think it's possible to lock after missed call but I just want Standby or Screen Off.
Any ideas please?!
I'm with you about this issue,
I'm searching how to do it.
The problem is : I missed a call, the phone is in my pocket, as long as something is pressing on the screen (the pouch is sometimes enough), it prevents the phone to enter standby mode. Most of the time, when I discovered it, I just end up with the battery almost empty because the phone was still on during the whole time
Can you give us a quick clue ?
I can't imagine we're only 2 having this issue.
regards,
just bumping this hoping someone can help. cheers

You can do this in the backlight settings in Settings, System, Power. Just set it to never turn off on battery power. This is obviously gonna chew the crap out of your battery, but that's how you do it.
Hope this helps
I allready did that, but isnt working, when i am on a call, it keeps turning off the light.
Any other idea what can I do??
Hi Guys. I've just treated myself to this super great phone. However, Im looking for this function, but to no avail. Basically, its to switch phone to silent/vibration mode automatically once i turn the phone (screen down) over. When I turn the phone back up (screen up), the phone will automatically turn to normal mode again.
Anybody any idea where to find this cab or app? Cant seem to find it around..

hmm... mine does this out of the box... well, it doesn't start ringing when I turn it again, but it goes to silent when I turn it up-side-down...

I think he's asking for it to switch to a silent mode when it's face down. What you're talking about is stopping it ringing when you turn it face down, but that only happens when it's already ringing. I don't think it stops it ringing when the next call comes in though.

You can try an app called Xsense by shireer.

It doesn't work as good as I would hope it would, but it would fulfil your functions well enough.

amazing app! thanks!
but, is there any possibility to increase the sensibility of this tool?
because at the moment, i think i will get a tennis elbow after a while of using it.
ps
i´ve set the threshold settings to 10/10/5 at the moment.
Can't for some reason find an option anywhere on the phone to stop this from happening. Every time I'm on a call after about 10 seconds the screen will dim and a few seconds later goes to black. Can tap on screen 2x to wake it up again but I don't want this to ever happen. Not connected to full device shut down that I have turned up to 5 mins so has nothing to do with that setting. Can anyone assist and help me stop this form happening all the time? Many thanks!

Go to Settings/ Accessibility/ Screen reader/ Under Voice Assistant tap settings then scroll down to Quick Menu, tap it, then look for Dark Screen toggle. Click this setting off.. Let me know if that works for you.

Thank you! I turned it off. Next time I'm on a call I'll see if it did the trick and post back.

Not sure then because that was the only thing I could find.. Maybe it's a setting that we don't have control over.. I do know that the screen is supposed to shut off when it's close to your face and the reason being is so that your face isn't pressing on stuff and making the phone do things you don't want it to be doing.. My moms face sure does seem to disable a lot of stuff like fast charging and even turning the screen brightness so low that she thought it was broken haha..

HA. No, phone is on a desk, not near my face. But yeah most phones nowadays do that. Thanks for trying tho.
Anyone else with any thoughts?
Tried replicating the problem on my end. I called someone, enabled speakerphone and put the phone on the table.
The screen indeed turned dim after 10 seconds and turned black afterwards. It bypassed my screen timeout setting which is 5 minutes. The phone app is in the foreground. Double tapping the screen wakes it up.
I minimized the phone app; the homescreen is now in the foreground. It adhered to the 5 minutes screen timeout setting.
I guess the temporary workaround is that after you answer the call, exit out of the phone app.

Hi. I had the same problem and found the solution using third party application: Screen On Call from Google Playstore: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.vorlan.screenoncall.free
It is compatible with Samsung dialer. On the top later you have small button to prevent screen going dark or to disable it. Proximity sensor is working without problem when you hold the phone to the ear.

Yaaawhoooooooo!!! This totally works. I have been an Android user for years and could find an answer for this nowhere. Users, be sure to turn on "Appear on top".
Thank you. Life changing.
