Heres my delima....
provxml defines registry keys for WAP settings in connections. However my carrier requires a username and password, both of which are defined in provxml under the CM_Networks and whatnot. The problem is, setting the username based on the Phone info pulled out of the registry. I can use mortscript and get the phone ID, but how do I add it to the provxml so that when the cab runs, it does the correct username based on the phone#?
I'm trying this as a cab and OEM so either way would be fine.
Any new help today?

I hosed up my registry on an xda, siemens sx56, and now it won't automatically open links in an email address with IE. Does anyone know that registry setting?
Hello everyone,
i have a serious problem. Through my company exchange outlook account (OWA) i can send email that at the end will be delivered as sms. I have just to insert into "to" field the following "address": [sms:+44123456789]. Unfortunately i think there is a control on the email address format because it says it can not send sms through the email program (you can try from your diamond). How may I solve it? i found a possible solution, modify
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\Inbox\Settings]
"AllowSMStoSMTPConcatenation"=dword:00000001
"AllowSMStoSMTPAddress"=dword:00000001
but i cound't find a registry editor that saves the settings! i tried phm registry editor, resco registry and other desktop one. I can change the keys but they are not mantain the setting after the reboot. With the desktop registry i received an access denied when i try to save... in which am i wrong?? thanks

same issue
i found ur post after searching for "AllowSMStoSMTPAddress" on the forums. i too have the same issue. i use the stock htc wm6.1 firmware that came with my tytn ii. i can set the correct values and get outlook to send sms to email via the rogers gateway. but after a soft-reboot the settings revert back to default. its annoying!
bump
bumping this again. anyone got any ideas for this?
i was thinking maybe to make a reg file that applies the settings during every soft-reset, since the settings take affect without needing to reboot or restart outlook. but not sure yet how to make wm6 run .reg file. will look into it now...
I need to run RDP on WM6 without a login prompt. Currently when you select to use remote desktop on WM6 it prompts for domain/userid/password to login.
Is there a registry hack, configuration, or maybe a command line type param to get around this?
Anyone, this is a show stopper for me!!!

You need to login first to access a computer. When you startup your computer it asks you to login right: username, password (may be blank), and domain (local - you don't write it).
Do you want to hack some PCs without knowing the username and password?
Shortly: You cannot get around this.
Sorry for poor explaination
I really don't mind if user id and pwd are required, I just would like to be able to pass it from command line or something so this can be more automatted, that was all.
Maybe you could create the .rdp file on your desktop and copy it over?
I am trying to connect and perform FTP/SSH from my WM (custom ROM) to iPod (jailbroken).
The tools I use is PocketPutty (for SSH) and Resco FTP (add in to the Explorer). The other tool is MobileFTPClient. When SSH connected, it prompted that the certificate is not recognized and requires user to accept. Once accepted, it works ok.
When using Resco, it says secure connection is not established. My guess is that certificate issue. However, it has no option to add the cert. Same with MobileFTPClient, it just give cert error too.
Question: how do I add this iPod's cert into the WM so that the FTP using Resco can work? I have the hex value.
can somebody tell me how to enable alphanumeric passwords on my windows phone 7.5. I only find the possibility to use numeric passcodes. With the mango update the use of alphanumeric passcodes are possible. Is this only possible for use in an enterprise (via policy) or is there even a registry key (which I suppose)?
if yes, please name the reg key!
