Need Help Please!! - G1 Android Development

I was rooted and upgraded to JF 1.41 this morning but decided to go back to 1.31 because I was having issues with using themes and I was getting alot of force closes on applications. After making it back to 1.31 I started applying themes and somewhere along the line my ability to view my contact list and place phone calls has become broken.
When I place a call, by manually entering the number, I am immediately forced out with the following error: "The process com.android.phone has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again."
When I try to view my contacts, which emptied at some point, I am forced out after a few seconds with the following error: "The process android.process.acore has stopped unexpctedly. Please try again." Same holds true if I open up my call log or dialer.
Can anyone think of anything that will help? I am going to try to do a wipe and flash 1.31 again and see if that helps but I would greatly appreciate any help anyone can give me. Thanks in advance.

i installed a supposed "video call dialer" from here, but i already had the black dialer installed, i didnt like the video call dialer so i decided to uninstall it, when the phone asked me to restart i hit yes, and now it keeps rebooting and rebooting and it wont go on. PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Im sure i found this info somewhere on this site. Again sorry cant give original poster any credit cause i cant remember, but i hope this helps.
You can remove your storage card wait for the phone to boot normally then put the card back in or you can..
Try using a file explorer (Total Commander or Resco) to rename \Windows\omap850_sdhc.dll to omap850_sdhc.dll.old and reboot.
i tried but i had no other choice but reformat, thanx though.
only a hard reset is going to help.

Desperate.. corrupted Nandroid backup, how to restore SMS/contacts?

Phone: Aria
OS: 2.2 via Cyanogenmod 7 (build 27)
Please don't disregard this with "try searching", ive searched everywhere, I need my phone to work at work, I am desperate
I installed the latest cyanogenmod 7 nightly (build 27 at the time), and it worked mostly right, so i played with setCPU settings and overclocked too high, froze and autorebooted. unfortunately, "Set at boot" was checked.
After trying multiple times to boot back in and kill setcpu, the phone no longer booted, so I tried overwriting with build 28 (epic fail.)
Now a FULL Nandroid restore gets me all the way to the dancing android loading screen with the blue circle spinning around him, but no further
Is there anything I can do using Nandroid Selective Restore, (short of installing all this SDK/ADB stuff) to just get my text messages, contacts, settings back the way they were? I did not have a current contacts sync, nor did i have Titanium text back up.
I did manage to extract all the files from the Nandroid backup using unyaffs, if that helps
Please, please don't ignore this, i need my phone to work
Please please please please please please don't ignore me. Please, I am desperate, I just need my data back, though i'm a noob i'm a IT consultant and can follow technical instructions. please help
I hope this got solved else try posting in the HTC Aria forums http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=1163 for someone to help.

New guy in need of help.

Proud owner of a Samsung Galaxy S 4G. It was loaded with bloat so I rooted it. All was well until yesterday when the following issues occurred......
1- The gallery opens and says "no items" when there are pictures there. I can see the thumbnail image but clicking on that only opens a black screen.
2 - I have no audible notifications. I get an error message "process com.android.mms" has stopped and force close.
3- I cant update any of my programs. The updates/reinstall download hangs and never connects. error message " process com.android.vending" has stopped then force close
I was careful to only delete files associated with the bloatware but may have deleted something very much needed.
Any help is greatly appreciated and apologies if this is posted in an incorrect thread.
stupid question, have you tried a complete reboot? Taking battery out and putting it back in?
aside from that it sounds like if that doesnt fix it then you removed something that the system needed...if noone can come up with anything for you a hard reset may be in order..
and this should be moved to general or q&a forum.
Hope you get it fixed!
Pulled battery, sim and sd. Done reset with T-Mo on line and Samsung tech support. Thanks for the reply. Will move post.
I would do a factory reset man, Is not a big deal. Sounds like you deleted a file that shouldn't have deleted.
Try to only delete apps and not system files.
I don't recommend deleting "com.android" files unless you know what you are doing. If you didn't delete any file that begins with "com.android" or similar then it means you deleted a file that try to invoke those files.
If you want to hard reset your phone go to Setting>Privacy>Factory data reset.
Hope this helps
@Moshe22 -- I've done 3 factory and data resets with the same results. sadly that doesn't or didn't add my missing file/s that I may have deleted on accident.
Thanks for the reply.
If that is the case and you have done the 2 types of reset, the one described in my previous post and the one where you enter into recovery mode then i would advised to flash your phone with one of the ROM's in this forum. That should fix it. Make sure you research alot before you flash your phone.
1. Duplicate post
2. Wrong forum
@Toshonobu --
This was already pointed out so it was moved to the correct forum. Can't help people being polite and answering on this forum as well.
Thanks for not offering any advice and just pointing out my posting error. Cheers
Just do what Moshe22 said.
There is a stock rom and the kb5 enhanced in these forums, so take your pick.

is my sidekick able to be repaired

I am hoping that someone can direct me in the path i need to go with my sidekick. I accidently deleted what i beieve to be a very important part of my opperating system because now my phone only has the home screen. when I try to open my menu I get a blank screen and the error code saying The process android.process.acore has stopped unexpectedly. Is their anyway I can reinstall my Stock Rom maybe?
You can put it into download mode and use Odin on your PC to reinstall the stock ROM.
Edit:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1538576 - here's most of the ROMs which have been posted to the forum, as well as a copy of odin and its pit file.

[Q] "Unsuccessful encryption" - Data2SD

Hey guys,
followed every single word from all the threads concerning Data2SD, and still can't get it to work...
I keep on getting an error message as soon as the device is done booting.
I then get a "unsuccesful encryption" message stating that I should do a factory reset etc.
However, even after trying like all the possible combinations of .zip orders, I still keep getting that message.
I'd appreciate if someone could give me a hand
(PS: I did try to do the disabling journaling, but it seems the problem should be found there!
Let me show you in the attached screenshot of my adb commands! )

Click to collapse
I believe the issue is with your SDcard. Your device did not see the second partition ext4.
