Bootloader can't load - General Questions and Answers

Help meee!
I've just installed advanced confirutaion tools 3. My mobile phone is HTC 3300 (Artemis). So, I tried MAKING SOME system tunings with this program. Then it asked me to reboot system to activate modifications. I pressed "Ok" and it switched off. Then I tried to switch it on. So my phone swithed on, label HTC appeared, and after it phone swithched off again =(
And so on so on...
Then I decided make a hard reset, but bootloader can't load completely. There appears tricolor, IPL xxxx SPL xxxx USB. and then buzz =( It doesn't react at any actions, just on soft reset or hard reset. Then I however loaded bootlader: it asked me to press "send",if I agree to restore all data. I pressed it, there poped-up a message, informing me about successful operation and the phone switched off again =(((
What I must do? I just want to recover my system =(
Thanks a lot for help!

severe problem with my vox

hi everyone. yesterday i installed dr. gonzo's wm6.1 rom in my VOX. it was great and it worked perfectly in my phone.
The main problem started when i restored the backuped data. I took, This backup with sprite backup tool before upgrading my mobile from wm6.0 to wm6.1. when i restored this data taken in version 6.0, in version 6.1, i found that my homescreen is blank. whenever i press start button i find the following message display on my screen: Cant Find ':MSSTART' (or one of its components). MAKE SURE THAT THE PATH AND FILENAME ARE CORRECT AND THAT ALL THE LIBRARIES ARE AVAILABLE.
The same messge appears when i press any numeric key replacing MSSTAART with MSCDIAL.
Actually, when i backuped the data it also backuped the registry settings and when i restored the data it applied version 6.0 registry settings to version 6.1.
Now, neither my phone is getting connected to the activesync nor it is getting HARD RESET(I tried many times to Hard Reset it, but never succeeded. What happens is that as soon as i press the POWER button while holding both the soft keys, the phone TURNS OFF).
Please cananyboby help me? can anybody tell me that is there any other way to hard reset? or, how can i restore the phone back to factory settings?
Thanks for understanding my problem so patiently.
hoping to get a solution soon.
thanks
Get the battery out for a few seconds and put it back, and then do a hard reset.
But I think that you are not doing hard reset correctly, you have to press power button and both soft keys while your phone is turned OFF, then your phone will ask you to pres green button and it will do a hard reset.
must press the green dail key to comfirm the reset operation
error in uPgrading the ROM
Ive tried many times to hard reset but it dosent seems to take place. i tried to reflash my phone from the bootloader mode but it dosent seem to fi my problem. it showed an error while reflashing stating IMAGE FILE IS CORRUPT. IVE attached an image of that error.
any help???
LOL~~~
I see, first shut down your s710, hold the 2 soft keys
and then press the power button shortly (must not too long)
ive performed hardreset 3 times earlier but this time i cant hard reset just because of the problem. the problem is that none of its functions are working. i really need some help this time!!!
I am using this rom, it can be hardset by this method.
hold the 2 soft keys utill dialog show, press the power about 1.5-2 sec.
Hard reset capabilities are not dependant on the ROM. You need to properly flash with a signed HTC ROM or USPL and then an unsigned ROM. I don't think you're doing the proper steps involved to hard reset or to flash correctly. Re-read the Wiki.
Problem Solved
I was trying to flash 6.1 version after the problem occured so it showed IMAGE FILE currupt. Then I tried to flash the original(manufacturer's) version in the bootloader mode. everything went properly and my vox flashed perfectly. Now i've once again flashed the 6.1 version and is working great.
'My hearty Thanks' to everyone for the help and support.

Beloved Uni wont start

Hi friends,
today it happened, my beloved universal wont start anymore.
Happend last week too, but after a hard reset and restoring a backup, I've lost only one day data.
It stucks at the boot screen, showing the WM6 boot logo - for ever.
I can switch it on and of - just the WM6 boot logo appears and disapears.
The Led is blinking green (with sim inserted), but it's not showing a call. Still showing just the boot logo.
Unfortunately I can not make a hard reset. Because I have lots of new data inside my little friend, which I could not backup in the last week - too busy.
What I tried:
- remove battery
- new battery
- lots of soft rests
- entering the hard reset menu - but pressing X for exit
ROM is thingonaspring. Radio 1.18
Is there anything I can do? Except a hard reset?
Thanks

I would recommend to reflash the ROM

Thanks guys, nothing worked, except installing a new ROM. Unfortunately my last week data is lost. But hey, my Uni is alive again
Same Situation
After two years of working fine, my T-Mobile MDA Pro refused to get past the boot screen. I didn't want to do a hard reset (and lose all of my program settings) and so sent the unit to PocketPCTechs for repair. Of course they did a hard reset anyway and reflashed the ROM with Mobile 6.1. I got the unit back and it worked for 8 hours, while I restored everything, and then the same thing happened: it freezes at sign-on screen. So, apparently, nothing was really repaired. Just curioius: is there a way to restore operating system files without losing all the other stuff I have on the device? Of course, most of my data and applications are on my SD card (thank goodness), and so I haven't lost any data. I do have a Sprite backup, but I've had problems with Sprite before and so prefer not to have to depend on it.
It just seems to me that there has to be a better way! If an operating system file gets corrupted, thereby preventing bootup, I should be able to fix that particular file only and not trash everything else.

palm treo 750 ROM completely dead

The only thing my treo 750 is showing when I do a reset+button is:
Palm Tr
IPL-0.20
Palm Tr
SPL-0.24.0000
Serial
if I connect the USB, it changes Serial to USB.
I can´t fo anything at that point. If I put the CHEEIMG.nbh in the SD card and try to reboot, I only got a black screen. If I try to run the romupdateutility it ends with a communication error.
please help...
Did you try a hard reset or a soft reset? If all you did was the soft reset, try a hard reset.
Also, you haven't successfully HardSPL'd your phone based on the SPL (SPL-0.24.0000) you are showing in your post. You won't be able to flash a ROM via SD card without a successful Hard SPL.
trukis to facilitate and verify which one did you decided to illustrate!
Soft and Hard Reset on Treo750:
Soft Reset
In Palm Treo 750 can be done soft reset by quickly pressing the small reset button labeled below the slot for miniSD memory card:
Hard Reset
A Hard Reset will erase all internal memory and returns the Treo its factory specification.
All data entered, preferences or software installed on your Treo will be deleted.
To do the Hard Reset, just press the reset button - above - simultaneously with the red "End" - Off (as shown below) Press and hold both buttons until the screen completely disappear.
When the screen comes back you will see the option to "Erase all data." Select Yes to complete the hard reset.
I have the same trouble with my treo 750.. I tried hard and soft resets but the device falls again in the tri-color screen.
Is there a method to send terminal emulation commands with some kind of software being in that mode?
Please help.
you´d better googlefy - there are some topics on ppcgeek´s web pages with download links that should provide tool able to unlock in bootloader.. personally I never had such problem - I simply went here on xda forum, used treo 750 wiki and then I succesfully flashed to wm 6.1 .

[Q] Bricked my Nexus 5

I rebooted my phone in the recovery mode and moved down the options using the down volume key but the up key was unresponsive with a 'no connection' error so I was forced to choose the last 'clean cache option'. After that it remained on that screen for a long time and I had to do a hard reboot after which the phone didn't catch any connection and the storage remained unavailable. I tried to reset the phone from the settings but it was unresponsive. Then I proceeded to reboot in recovery mode again and tried to reset it from there but that process got stuck too. Now whenever I switch it on, only the startup screen shows up. Can anybody offer a solution?
p.s. I'ts not responding even when connected to a charger or PC
Hi,
Which rom are you on? Stock? You're using stock recovery? The cleaning cache partition of stock recovery sometime takes a long time to finish. (Even as long as 10 mins)
The factory reset option in settings also takes a while, when I used it the last time, it took me nearly 20-25 mins!
What do you mean by start up screen? You're stuck at google logo?
If you're fully stock, then head over to recovery and try factory resetting the phone from there.

Interface restarting after screen unlock

The phone has completely run out of power.
I charged it up, turned it on. But after I unlock the screen, after a second the interface starts rebooting. That is, not a complete reboot, but exactly the interface, a few times, and then a complete reboot.
I can use the curtain, turn on and off wifi, but until the phone unlocks.
I tried resetting the cache via recovery, it didn't help.
I also put the latest update through odin with save data, that didn't help either.
Really need to save the data of one installed app. Please, if you know what you can try, advise me.
Was thinking of updating one ui via adb sideload in recovery, but don't know how.
