How 2 remove battery icon from taskbar & show clock instead?

On my homescreen I have the battery icon and I want it to show the clock instead. How do I change this? A registry tweak? I tried SKTools option but it did not work. I know you can choose to show the clock in all programs from the MORE option in Clock setting but I want to show it on the Today page.
Thanks so much!

What Device? WHAT OS? Look in WIKI under Registry tweaks
Sorry. I have Asus P525 with Windows Mobile 6 Beta 2. I looked in the wiki. Asus phones are not listed and looked at some basic reg tweaks to enable the clock only but the reg key is not in my registry and the hide battery key is not in my registry either. Any help appreciated.
Thanks!
i got an p3300 with mobile 6 and to do the trick i did this reg tweak.
advised by tom codon,so all credit to him.
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Shell]
"ShowTitleBarClock"=dword:00000001
think it could just as well work on your device ;-)

Name: RotateIconSlot
Type: DWord
Value: 1
The Value 0 and 1 means the position for the icon. You can interchange
A little advice, is this issues are related to elmi_c ROMs, is better posting on his thread instead of opening new ones.
Cheers.
Thank you for your immediate answer but...
my problem is that Registry settings are as you told me already but the icons are still missing from the plugin. Although when i tap on the screen where the two icons should be... they work!

The registry setting is located;
HKLM\Software\HTC\Manila
Here you will find LSK (Left Soft Key) and RSK (Right SK) path and text.
You would set the path to Windows\ContactAgent.exe.
You can set the text to whatever you want.
Soft reset and you're done.
Thanks.
Just before reading your answer I found a hint for a solution in an old post.
Actually I used the following expression under LSK path:
Manila://people\browserlayer\?.page
and it works as well.
Thank you very much anyway!

Oh yes, you did say "Manila" contacts didn't you. My apologies.
You can also use BsB Tweaks to change it to what ever you like.

search for and install the HDWallpaper patch, the link is in HDWalls first post, otherwise HDWalls backgrounds will look messy.

HKEY_CURRENT_USER (use a registry editor)
.... you have to edit the registry.
hkcu is a lowercase HKCU

then just look for all the keys inside that path referring to a background image .jpg or .png, and in that case empty the values
Hi.
+1 for top and bottom bars transparancy... However, I cannot find the key referenced, and there are any .jpg or .png values in HCKU/Software/HTC/Manila. I also searched entire registry for 'defaulthomebackground' - not there.
Any other ideas?
Thnx in advance,
Lukas

weird, you made me go doublecheck my registry.
The full name of the key is: DefaultHomeBackgroundPath
and I emptied its value which pointed to a png and prevented the hdwalls background to show.
Another problem was when I installed Bg4all, and it conflicted with hdwalls leaving a black background in the middle part, I remove bg4ll and restarted manila, all worked.

Thnx for doublechecking. I think that the registry key is generated by something you've installed. I performed a search for the key you mentioned on my entire registry just now, but no dice. It's not on my phone... Running 1.66 stock ROM, with Cookie's home tab mod being the only manila mod installed. Could it be HDWall's generating that key?
Regards,
Lukas

I have installed this programm, but where can I change both softkeys?
In Adv Conf
Menu-More Settings-Key mapping
You can also do it changing the registry; in HKLM/Software/HTC/Manila you have the keys HomeRSK and HomeLSK; where RSK is Right SoftKey and LSK is Left Softkey.
In HomeRSKPath you put the path to the programm you want to launch, in HomeRSKText you put the text you want to put in the Softkey.
Hope it helps.
What is the way to change the softkeys while Manila is running? Manila overwrites my softkey mapping while its running.
~Eyghon
Please.... use the search function... there are at least 5 threads which are about chaninging the softkeys.
Once you have changed the registry you MUST do a Soft Reset to apply the changes.
FYI I'm using;
Softkeys Control Panel Applet
Here's a direct link;

Don't forget to check out the above site for some other awesome free software!
Have fun,
