HKEY_CURRENT_USER (use a registry editor)
.... you have to edit the registry.
hkcu is a lowercase HKCU

then just look for all the keys inside that path referring to a background image .jpg or .png, and in that case empty the values
Hi.
+1 for top and bottom bars transparancy... However, I cannot find the key referenced, and there are any .jpg or .png values in HCKU/Software/HTC/Manila. I also searched entire registry for 'defaulthomebackground' - not there.
Any other ideas?
Thnx in advance,

weird, you made me go doublecheck my registry.
The full name of the key is: DefaultHomeBackgroundPath
and I emptied its value which pointed to a png and prevented the hdwalls background to show.
Another problem was when I installed Bg4all, and it conflicted with hdwalls leaving a black background in the middle part, I remove bg4ll and restarted manila, all worked.

Thnx for doublechecking. I think that the registry key is generated by something you've installed. I performed a search for the key you mentioned on my entire registry just now, but no dice. It's not on my phone... Running 1.66 stock ROM, with Cookie's home tab mod being the only manila mod installed. Could it be HDWall's generating that key?
Regards,
Lukas

Right - I see what you're asking now.
The wallpaper is actually "overlayed" with the taskbar and menu, so it is fullscreen, but behind those objects.
Search for HDWall (it's not in the Leo section - I believe it's in the Blackstone section, but could be wrong, so do a search of all forums).
That makes hi-quality wallpapers (better than the resized-by-htc wallpapers that you normally get) and it does it for all tabs. You also have the option to skin the taskbar and menu, and even change the slider if you want.
That will do what you ask anyway. Hope it helps

That shouldn't make any difference. It's not making any changes to the OS, just the GUI.

I told you already, MaxTTM
Try this Transparent softkey .tsk file, along with MaxTTM.
Then you can have clear bars and no softkey bubble buttons.
Although it does not line up perfectly. It looks best with textured or patterned wallpapers. In my opinion. It really depends on what B4all you are using as well.
Not sure if its been covered ( I did do a search ) but is their away to change the taskmanager icon in the taskbar ?
yes! What you want? I can modify icon of dutty, for example..... enough to have the cab ...... But I tell you that I can not open a dll, then in the cab there are png or tif, bmp, then you can do!
Changing the Dutty's Icon fitting to Brian's Black&White Mystic edition would be very cool!!

Wait, what do you mean, exactly? Set me the link ... and see what you can do
Taskmanager:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=4857930&postcount=46
Taskbar:

But I've also requested "MysticGenius" the creator of the B/W taskbar to add an icon.
I don't want to get into trouble if someone's "copyright" gets hurt.... I pay respect to there work.

I don't believe that the taskmanager "icon" is really an icon. It is drawn by a procedure on the fly. In other words it isn't skinnable or replaceable
Then, about the task manager there are these icons modification, replacement etc etc ... Tell me what you have in mind and let's adapt
http://www.informaticafacile.com/imageupload3/1-b.JPG
However, concerns the taskbar, there are these
http://www.informaticafacile.com/imageupload3/2-b.JPG
do you realize that where you see dll, I could not fix it, the only change I might make and the image file: png and bmp
But do not think the author might get angry
The Button "quickmenuicon.bmp" is shown in the taskbar.
This has to be changed

VGA is same cab as WVGA
To keep the original WinMo icons, u need to also download the AddOns package from my theme.
First u install the softkeybar cab, then u install the addon cab to restore the original icons (don't remember the exact name of the cab... I guess something like "original icons" cab or similar)

I used Diamond before, one apps cab can be modified it, now I don't know if Touch2 has or not ...
As mentioned use M2D customizer...go to tab background......click on right button "path to new background file"and it is done (PNG files!).
Alternatively you can install a complete "theme" as you find many on XDA (based on new 2.0 Touch flo). Go to tab themes in M2DC. First upload the theme to your phone and put in themes folder.

All u need is get a free registry editor application. I recommend PHM Regedit. You can search for it on google.
Using the app, go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE and the path I mentioned before. Delete the 2 registry above. Try it, not as hard as it sounds.
