Automatic disable the ringer during night? - General Topics

Hello,
is there a program, that can enable or disable the ringer/speaker automatically?
Example: I want, that the telephone doesn't make a sound between 22 o'clock in the evening and 7 o'clock in the morning.
Thanks!

MortPlayer
MortPlayer for the PocketPC is one program that can turn the volume back on using alarm, so you can silence the phone entirely and it will then turn back on when an alarm goes off, if that option is chosen in settings.

Spb Phone Suite
has a Today plug-in that will allow you to set up rules for how your phone behaves that can be time based, or triggered by events in Outlook calendar. You can set it to turn your BT or WiFi on or off automatically, as well as setting the ring. Not free, but very useful.

phoneAlarm can do this, and a lot more...but not freeware.

Thanks! I'll give it a look.

Beep every x mins when a reminder is active

When I set up a reminder, my WM6 phone beeps for few secs. But if I am not near the phone at that moment, I might miss that reminder and I don't get to know about it until I look at the phone. Is there any way for the phone to ring an alarm every 15 mins or so when there is an active reminder that needs to be snoozed or dismissed?
try phone alarm. It works well for me, there is a free demo to try too.
And if you are not interested in the overheads of PhoneAlarm try AlarmPal from the same publisher as PhoneAlarm
Atleast on my phone, with WM6, when I have an alarm go off, such as an appointment, or an email, I'll get the reminder tone like every 1 or 2 minutes. What phone/ROM are you using?

Call/Ringer profiles

I'm sure there is something out there that does this, but I can't seem to find it. Here's my situation. I turn my phone on silent every night before bed. I do this so that texts and email notifications don't wake me up. However, I would like calls to come through for emergency reasons and also for the alarm to be able to sound if set. When I wake up, I turn my phone back on vibrate so that I am alerted when I get new messages. Right now I'm just sleeping with it all on silent and hoping I don't need it. When I absolutely need the alarm, I have to mess with the settings to turn off email and text alerts. This seems too much to just turn off text & email alerts though. Is there any way I can save settings into a profile and just change profiles. One would be Night mode (calls & alarm on, notifications off) and Day mode (all on). Thanks for the help
I have a HTC Touch Pro by the way.
if i'm not mistaken you can use PhoneAlarm to set profiles for seperate services.

Why dosent my phone react to profile change? wm 6.1

Hi guys,
I need your help. Im using a Asus p750 running wm 6.1. It seems that the phone dosent care to what profile im using. If i have phone on "silent" without ring signal or vibra still the phone rings at a incoming call. Same on all profiles i use. Always a ring signal!!! Total newbie so hoping for a easy fix. Maybe you expers have any ideas?
I have tryed to use SPB phone suite, same problems with thoose profiles. Phone dosent seem to care what profile i shoose to use.
Cheers.

Are you sure you are turning down the ring volume and not just the system.
Thnx for you answer Joel.
I set profile by Settings - Profile - Silent/Meeting etc. If i shoose Silent (Volume:Off Vibrate:Off) and i go back to the homescreen i notice a speaker icon with a X next to it. So i guess i have shoosen correct to get a silent incoming call? Dosent happen though, phone screams like a pig when i get a incoming call. Im i doing something wrong?
tap the speaker icon in the bar and you should get a pop up with two sliders, one for system sound, one for ringer, turn the ringer all the way down and try it again.
Both ringer and System sound are set to lowest and OFF. Still a ringsignal when a incoming call. Was just in a meeting where i bragged about the meeting sceduler that sets phone to meeting profile by auto. Ye right i had 3 incoming calls disturbing that meeting. Argh.
Ahh im using Inesoft Phone Suite and that stupid software uses its profiler and it seems to override all other profilers. Great, now i know what the error is... to bad you cant disable just the profiler... good software othervise..
Ver 5 let's you turn off the Profiler.... but... it doesn't actually turn off... whatever Inesoft profile it was set to when you disable the profiler remains active...
Really annoying... and their support seems non-existent...

sound profiles for nighttime? Only have phone ring?

coming from a BB, my cell is all i use, is there a way at night i can shut off all sound notifications except the phone itself? i dont want to be woken up all the time with emails coming in, and or texts..
is there an option? or an app? widget?
thanks!
The best suggestion I can make is a app called Setting Profiles. The Light version only allows for one profile while paid version allows for more.
One can make profiles based on location, time, calendar events, etc. I use it to silence my phone when I have meetings indicated on my calendar.
Two more apps are PhoneWeaver (auto and manual switching) and Quick Profiles (manual switching only).
One more app you can check out with auto changing of sound profiles is Sound Manager. Works very well.

[Q] Llama suggestions?

I've recently downloaded Llama and am amazed that this app is free! I've set up the basics (turn on/off Wi-Fi when I enter/leave home/work, go on vibrate at work, etc.), but do you gents/ladies have any personal suggestions or tips on events I can set up to grease the wheels of my day-to-day grind?
Llama is a must have free app if you don't already use the paid app Tasker. Using cell towers as a battery-free location service is a great idea and more apps are starting to use that now.
My favorite uses for Llama are saving battery by toggling auto sync and fixing a pet peeve of mine: plugging in headphones and not realizing the volume is too loud. Second one is a bit tricky and needs to work in conjunction with the Sound Profiles you've already set up for Day/Night etc.Lastly, you can also use it as an easy way to change the brightness automatically throughout the day.
ex.
Auto-Sync
-When using Battery, Disable Account Sync
-When Charging, Enable Account Sync
Volume Control
-When any wired headset is connected - Change Profile to Headphones
-At Home between (Set Time){when wired headset is disconnected} Change Profile to Normal
-At Home between (Set Time){when wired headset is disconnected} Change Profile to Quiet
Am I the only one with the current bug that allows calls through even when I'm in silent mode? If it works for you what version of llama are you on?

Latest version and no such issue. There is the option to set certain contacts as "Noisy" and they will ring anyways even when silent.
Edit your Silent profile and make sure your ringtone and notification volume is set to 0.
some aids i use:
temp mute phone when using camera
start music when headset connect
kill musicplayer when headset disconnect
silent at work
only wifi at home
no problems with calls on silent
