have my Raphael since a few weeks, had a prophet before.
now i noticed some strange behaviors that i did not had in my prophet and hope there are fixes.
1. Randomly Closing programms
sometimes (most of the time) programms are closed at random om my raph. for example i am having slickim open, and use opera to surf. when i want to check slick i go to home via hardbutton to use htc task manager but find out its closed and opera with it.
next time i have some progs open and put the cell aside and when i come back a while and all progs are closed and i am back at "today"
this renders all things besides phoning quite useless cuz i can not come back later and pick up where i left.
2. a2dp headphone only contolling htc musik/ wmp
i am using some sony ericsson bluethoot headset. i have to press play/pause to get my headset connected what starts the htc audio player and plays the first song. i no have removed the "musc" tab now wmp starts with the same behavior.. since i mostly listen to podcasts and audiobook i need bookmarking. so wmp is rather useless to me but i love mortplayer. but i allways have to get wmp stop playing musik quit back to today start mortplayer and use the touchscreen to play/pause cuz play/pause on the headset starts wmp again.
so for mp3 raphael is also quite useless and i use a dedicated mp3 player right now.
3. back button behaves "uncalculatable"
sometimes the back button works as ok/back button in the "normal" wm programs. the next time it behaves like a close button and brings me instantly back to "today" somtimes just putting the progs in background sometimes closing them compleatly.
so i dont dare using the back button cuz i dont know what he will do but use my fingertips to actually operate the "ok/x" button in the upper right corner. quite annoying
4. cant flash rom/hardspl
when i try to install hardspl every thing wents fine (incl. activesync connection)till ruu tries to find my rom version. there i get an error telling me that some important communication services could not be started and i should reboot my phone and try again.
i hope anyone can help me with my little problems and i can start enjoying my raphael.

I had the same problem. Read the Wiki page carefully, especially note 2. Once i ran the SSPLmanual file everything worked correctly.
Cant help with the other points yet, only got my Raph today, and not had enough time to get to grips with it yet!

I have just one issue after switching to Windows Mobile 6 (at first "Faria real thing", now "Crossbow Reloaded"). Sometimes the phone behaves as if the sound was switched off.
I read various discussions about which radio ROM is better etc. for not missing calls, but I guess it is not that problem. The call gets through (so I guess radio rom is ok). When having the phone in such state, I checked it by calling from the fixed phone on my desk - the call got through, there was message on the display that somebody is calling (just the ring was silent).
Once in such situation I tried to switch on/off the phone application - no change. The one thing which seems to cure it reliably is to go to the phone settings (I usually try the ringing tone I use - it works ok - and press ok). Afterwards it is normal (the phone rings).
I have not found yet any pattern when this happens... Is it possible that the phone somehow loses setting (about the set ringing tone, or about volume) and it is fixed by going to phone settings?
Has anybody else such experiences?
Othewise I am happy with WM 6 (especially I like "Internet Sharing", quicker booting and the fact that when running "Opera Mini" in "Midlet Manager" it no longer ignores hardware soft keys). Just this think is a bit of nuisance.

I've seen this a few times myself, and yes, just playing your ringtone via the Phone Settings will fix this issue. I can say that I haven't seen this issue in some time, and thats since I stopped using the press & Hold of the CommManager button (upper left side of the phone) to switch my phone in and out of Vibrate mode. I used to use that to do a quick switch and it seemed sometimes after coming back out of vibrate mode, this issue would happen (not always, but a few times). I've now quit using that button that way and I don't think I've had the non-ring issue since.
Thanks you for the information, I will try it. It may have been the problem with that button - I mapped there task manager which I use often and pressed it sometimes a bit longer...

Hi all, Thanks for all the ROM's, I have tried many on my xda2, wizard and universal over the last couple of years.
Anyway, i have a problem someone may be able to help me with. When i use any WM6 rom i find that when i have setup my activesync to connect to my work email with direct push an i am forced to hav a security pin, when i use the power button to turn off (or if my screen turns off after inactivity) when i switch back on using the power button i am returned to the home screen automatically and any active application is closed.
This happens with the touchflo cube, pointui, media player, slidelock....anything. It is realy frustrating as i need to relaunch the program again....annoying if playing music and completley defeating the benefits of the cube and pointui.
I have tested this without the security pin on a fresh rom and everything works fine, switch off and back on and i get the same screen. connect to work and set the pin and its back to the home screen every time.
I went back to using WM5 which is fine but I lost the ability to have stereo bluetooth a2dp. I can get it working but only in mono through both earpieces.
I also cannot disable the security pin as I need my email from work and I am forced to have it via a policy.
Does anyone know of a solution to either the WM6 problem with the homescreen or if you can get proper stereo from a WM5 rom on the Wizard.
Please don't make me have to go back to my Blackberry.
Many thanks to all of you out there for allowing me to get the best out of my old kit. It realy is great that I can change the look and feel at will and it feels like i get a new phone every time I try a new ROM.
There is a way to prevent your device locking even if there is an Exchange policy requiring that it lock every X mins.

Download the application and it will allow you to change the time until lock. I have mine set to 24hrs.....It doesn't lock at all now!

Thanks for the reply but it is not the lock that is causing the problem. I can set the time upto 24hrs (which I have) but this does not stop the problem. I can unlock, launch media player (or any app), press the power button to switch of screen, media player will still be playing the music fine. But then when I press the power button to turn the screen on everything running is stoppped and I get presented with the home screen.
If I reflash the Rom everthing works fine but as soon as i connect to exchange and i set the security it imediatly reverts back to the problem. I have tried this on many WM6 roms and they all do the same.
I have even set the security manually without the connection to excahnge and it still has the same problem.
Hope I am making sense.

Hi all,
I've got a strange problem with my wizard:
When I'm pressing s or h on my hardware keyboard, pocket outlook crashes and the phone becomes extremly slow - in fact, it's unusable. Amazignly this only happens, when s or h are at the beginning of the sentence (as the first letter). All other letters are fine.
The problem came up a few days ago - but I don't know what I have changed in the meantime...
Im using TNT 11.0.2.0 ROM (WM 6.1).
Any idea?

Is it definitely at the start of the sentence only... or could it be when you haven't pressed another key for a while, wherever you are in the sentence?
There is the feature which runs send & receive when you press and hold S. I think H is help. There are other press and hold combinations too.
It is a long shot, but maybe it is related to that feature somehow? Maybe if that feature isn't working correctly it could cause the crashing whilst it tries to load that feature. In fact the first time it runs, it asks you to confirm a message telling you how it works. If that screen got to the back somehow, maybe outlook is left waiting for your input, but you can't input OK as it is behind the current visible screen.
Of course it might be something completely different....
I tought something similar but could not find out, which function will be startet pressing s or h.
So I did a hard reset and installed everything new, and after the hard reset, s and h work as they are supposed to do. This indicates, that some software I installed (and couldn't remember what software it was) installed a function which did not work properly.

Hey guys, i've got a problem. First off, KforTouchPro works fine on my HTC Touch Pro, i can configure buttons fine for Morphgear, PocketGBA, SmartGear etc, it works wonderful. And as everyone that uses this app already knows, you have to switch the setting to MS IME before you launch your game emulator, or else you can't configure the keys. Well, my problem is, after i'm done playing a game, sometimes I forget to switch the setting back to default, and whenever i do a reset or shutoff my phone, it hangs at the screen right before it shows your homescreen and touchflo3d tabs.
Basically, for those that use EnergyROM, it hangs at the screen that shows you the black & blue background with the word EnergyROM 3.0 in the bottom left (or something like that, can't remember). That means you can't do anything at all, since there are no buttons etc for you to press as the home screen is not fully loaded, so basically you got a semi-bricked phone as no matter how many times i try to turn on the phone, it just hangs there, which results in me having to do a hard reset in the end.
To prevent this, you MUST restore the KforTouchPro setting back to the default setting, but sometimes ppl forget and this will cause a semi-bricked phone, which is very risky and quite dangerous.
So, is anyone else having the same problem as me?? Is there a solution to this??
And lastly, what's the difference between KforTouchPro and KforRaphael??
I recently bought a used htc touch cruise. After a few days the phone wouldn't get any gsm signal and windows media player and other programs wouldn't work. I installed WM6.1 and now everything is perfect. the phone works great.
There was something interesting that happen. i tried to open the phone by pushing the power button bat no response( the phone was on last time I checked) , no button seems to work, just the green flashing light was running. I had to pull out the battery and put it back and switch on the phone., and now is working. The phone was off in that time where no button would work because I try to call my phone put was unreachable . The curious thing was that the green light was flashing. This is the second time it happen this,
can anyone tel me what is wrong? could be some settings? could be the WM6.1...or some hardware problem?
you've got a ppc. that means it's a little computer, as you know, computers can crash.
sometimes if the phone crashes it can lock up with black screen, no buttons work, but yes, sometimes the led light flashes still.
to the left of the mini usb/charge point is a small hole. if the phone crashes, poke your stylus pen into it to perform a soft reset (restart the phone).
it maybe that you flashed an unstable rom or had too many programs running at once. try changing the 'X' button function to close the program, rather than minimize it to the background (this you'll find in settings)
if that doesn't work try a re-flash. sometimes roms can become unstable because the original ('shipped') htc rom wasn't flashed first. then flash the custom one. sometimes i even double flash the custom rom to make sure all is set right.
