can someone tell me why i cannot pair my bluetooth headset??
i have samsung WEP200 bluetooth headset (it work fine with N73) but when i tried to pair it with my HTC Touch Pro, it did not work...
it said that the connection failed because incorrect pin. i enter the same pin that i entered when i pair the device with my N73.
can some one help me about this matter...
thank you
turn off the security check (require pin) in bluetooth settings and you shouldn't have to use one.

i already tried that.... still not working.. but i think the one that need pin is not my HTC Touch Pro.. but my Samsung WEP200 (Bluetooth headset)...
so what should i try next??? i did try to change the pin.... become 9999, 1234, 00000, 000000000.. none of the worked.

Hi,
I have a question about bluetooth on my Cruise. I have a bluetooth Headset "Logitech Mobile Freedom Headset" (bluetooth 1.2 and no a2dp).
My problem is that it is not detected by my phone.
Is there a way to do it works ?
Thanks
I need a little bit more details:
What have you already done? Have you ever had a running bluetooth port?
Normal procedure should look like:
Is your bluetooth device set to receive signal?
On mobile go to settings - connections - bluetooth. Folder devices: Is the device already visible? Otherwise type in Add new device. Now you should see the new device. Do your headset require a password? Type in the same as given in the manual. Connection is established.
probably you have to put headset in pairing mode, otherwise your phone cannot detect it....
Hi,
Thanks for your responses.
stefan1959: my device is not visible by my phone, even I add new device.
my bluetooth is active and my headset is on. I have another phone (Samsung D500) and my headset is detected by it.
But I have paired it a long time ago, and it is already known by my phone (D500).
I will look at the manual (if I find it !) if there is a special thing to do to put the headset in pairing mode (thanks nushuth).
I'll post here when I did it.
Thanks

There usually is special procedure. Headsets do not operate in discovery/pairing mode all the time, so your problem solution should be there.
Ok thanks everybody. It works with paring mode.
I forgot it because I have another headset and there is no need to do that.
Thanks again.
i'm trying to pair the headset with the diamond.
after i entered the pin code (0000) i get an error message: "your device did not connect with VMX 100. the connection failed or the passcode is incorrect".
i tried several times but nothing.
with another phone (nokia 6210) it works OK.
someone?
Sennheiser VMX100 is incompatible with Touch Cruise.. This is known issue...
Sorry, but maybe incomp. with Diamond too...
what the [email protected]%k?
SENNHEISER BLUETOOTH FLX 70 IN EAR FLX70 doesn't work too????
i never heared about that.

is there a way to fix it?

OK, I managed to suss this out, it was purely by accident as this it totally counter-intuituve.
When you go to pair it, the phone finds it and asks for the password, DON'T enter one, just hit the NEXT button. Two things will happen, first it will actually go "Ping" and a screen will come up telling you the headset wants to connect and asking for your password, which you then enter and it pairs AND second, it also pops up the nasty message about not pairing but by this stage it has already paired so it is no issue.
bit of a flaky implementation, but once paired it works OK.
Nice find

Dear sir,
1. I have purchased a VMx 100 sennheiser bluetooth headset. wish to pair it with my Dell streak. It pairs up well. But when call comes, there is no transfer of audio. Will anyone can help me in solving this?
2. VMX 100 manual says that if user wishes to use same bluetooth headset with second device (in my case notebook), it shud be paired manually. Dont know how to do?
because my notebook doesnt recognize VMX 100 signal at all.
how to go about?
thanks

umm i tried it already, it didn't work... =(
i even tried 00000, 000000000 and it still not working...
EDIT:Topic should be N95 bluetooth headset
I failed to connect to a N95 bluetooth headset with my SGS. Does anybody have a clue as to what the problem might be? I've tried all the standard pin codes, so that's not it. I've had my phone set to visible just before holding down the button on the N95 to turn it on, etc. etc., feels like I've tried everything.
Is there any fix to this or does anybody have a clue wy it won't work?
Both devices function properly with other devices.
edit2: The phone says that the pin or password is incorrect.
Thanks,
-Max

Did you put the bluetooth in pairing mode? Guessing you did but just making sure. That process is overlooked so many times.
Hi
I don't think this so..as the same Bluetooth works with another NOKIA set !

Hi Pirateghost
I'm trying to Pair my 'Bluetooth Headset (Plantronics Explorer 210)' with the HTC Inspire ..This device is not even detected by HTC when I do the 'scan for devices' from the Phone...but,I see the Bluetooth symbol dispalyed onteh phone...
Also this Bluetooth Headset is properly 'pairing' with my another Nokia Phone...
Further my HTC also 'pairs' properly with my Laptop'...
But the HTC doesn't detect the 'Bluetooth Planatronics' Headset!
it's Plantronics Explorer 210 Bluetooth Headset
....But this headset pairs properly with my 'Old Nokia phone'..but refuses to pair with the new HTC Inspire
But,the HTC Inspire pairs properly with my 'Laptop computer'...I'm reallyconfused..what's wrong...Appreciate your thoughts on this
I asked you earlier if you put the bluetooth in pairing mode before trying to pair with it? Not the same thing as pairing your phone to a laptop or using it with a phone that it is already paired to. First time you turn on bluetooth it goes in auto pairing till it is paired with a device. After it is paired with a device you must do something special to get it paired again with a new device. Again I only bring this point back up because this sounds like the only reason your phone cannot see the bluetooth.
How to Pair Your Headset if it Has Been Previously Paired
With Another Device
1 Turn the headset off.
Press and hold the call control button until the indicator turns red
and then turns off.
2 Turn the headset on.
Press and hold the call control button until the indicator light
continues to flash red and blue. The headset is now in pairing mode.
3 Use the commands on your phone to locate your headset.
For most phones, select Settings/Tools > Connections > Bluetooth
> Search > 2XXPlantronics. See your phone’s user guide for more
information.
4 When prompted for the passkey, enter 0000.
Pairing is successful when the indicator on your headset flashes
blue. Your headset is now connected and ready to use.

Thanks Agoattamer ---I totally overlooked it--Perhaps did not have the old Planatronics manual----and after getting into 'pairing mode'--everything is perfect..

Hi Pirateghost
I think,I had been too 'stupid' to overlook this 'pairing step'....and now the HTC is able to connect---Thanks a lot for your time......
Appreciate your help too...for giving such a good 'ROM'
