Any way to control my phone from my PC wirelessly? - Touch Pro, Fuze General

With enough speed to have my phone connected to my TV with the Youtube app up? So that I can, say, plug my phone in and leave it plugged in, click on new videos from my laptop?

Use My Mobile, sync the phone to PC via bluetooth.

Can I connect wirelessly to active sync?

Basicly what I want to do is to connect wirelessly to active sync using my TCP/IP connection!
Is that possible, and if so how?

Not an exact answer to your question, but you can connect via bluetooth, if your computer has it, or if you have a bluetooth dongle on you computer.

Yes, but then I dont get the speed and range of a wifi network
You can use Google sync. but its limited to contacts and calender.
http://www.google.com/mobile/winmo/sync.html
you can use soti pocket controller
the sync of activesync can't even keep up with the speed of usb so
even back in the old days when activesync did support wifi sync
it was not faster then usb sync
but the feature was removed because of security issues

[Q] Cradle? Or dock? And what does "sync" actually means?

I want to buy this one:
http://www.sunnysoft.sk/zbozi/105PK...sation-xe-s-hdmi-vystupem-horizontalni-1.html
But I was wondering: What "sync" means?
Sync is short for Syncronization
Sensationaly sent from my Sensation.
I know that. But what synchronization stands for? Sync of what from what to what?

Its probably a reference to the HTC Sync, which synchronizes between your phone & Outlook via USB.
[off-topic] If you were to ask my opinion (you didn't, but you get it anyway ), HTC Sync is a waste when Android phones come with the ability to synchronize wirelessly and automatically through Google to Outlook. But I suppose HTC was covering its bases for those who don't want to shoot all that information through Google's servers.[/off-topic]
But I will be able to transfer data when I connect cradle to my laptop, yes?

Yes.
It's just a charging cradle which you plug a USB cable into. If you connect the cable from the dock to your laptop you can copy files between the laptop and the phone.
I have the same dock in work and I just hooked a USB power supply to it and use it just for charging.
Well I'm not. It only charges, phone won't give me choice what type of connection I want. Bummer.

Really depends what ROM you are using.
If you have a stock rom (Original HTC ROM):
Drag your notification bar down and have a look around... select connection type... there should be a list of options including Charge only, USB Storage and HTC Sync?!?!
BTW, if you want to sync this way then you also need the HTC Sync program on your PC.
I don't use Sense so I can't help too much, Sorry.
If you have a custom ROM then read the thread for the rom.
EDIT: I just noticed, that cradle has 5v in and HDMI out, it doesn't say that it's suitable for USB Data transfer?!
Hope this helps
Nope, no connection type. Just charging.

That cradle only allows you to charge and connect via HDMI - NOT Sync!
Use a standard USB Cable and test!
Hope this helps
This is EXACTLY the reason why I was asking what sync means.

[Q] Connecting phone to laptop as a webcam?

Is it possible to connect your phone to the laptop so it'll display the phone's screen onto the laptop? I'm trying to use the phone's camera as a webcam or make skype calls on a bigger screen. Thanks.

Yes, the Droidcam works wonders. The only minor issue is the audio delay.

Samsung DEX

May be late to the party but just found out DEX works wirelessly on laptops. Not too bad... Definitely latency issues but it works. Thought it was only for TVs

Isn't it a good thing, no? Look, Ma, no wires!
The Your Phone App is nifty too.
I absolutely love it... Decluttered my desk... Well no longer have to use the tab s 5e for dex to the tv. Now it seems everything comes from the phone now. All about eliminating stuff I need to relax.
Only thing is netflix just doesn't seem to work well
Guys, could you extract and send me the lastest APK in private please ?
Since it can handle the display wirelesssly, I'd like to try it on my Note 10 lite (with no USB-3, e.g no HDMI out).

Hi GDHAMTON7,
Good evening.
I have two questions (maybe you can shed some light on)
- What app are you using on the laptop side? DEX "PC" app doesn't work wireless for me. Are you using "Connect" app? Other?
- If you are using "Connect" or other app on the PC, can you interact with the DEX screen using your Laptop (PC) mouse and keyboard? I can only use Keyboard for a few minutes, and mouse only "Bluetooth" if connected directly to the Phone itself.
I Can only do it, using the Host PC mouse and keyboard on the "wired" DEX app, or using (less complete experience) "wireless" YOURPHONE app (that crashes a lot and requires a "reset" to function again).
So currently wireless DEX (for me) is only valid on TV connections.
PC's only wired...
Thanks.
Regards.

Hi, thanks for the quick reply.
Okay upon going thru the post history I saw it (post 10), but that uses\calls "Connect" app, not the Samsung DEX app (which states it requires Wired USB connection).
And the same (only PC keyboard is allowed, not Mouse), if we want any mouse control we must either connect a mouse directly to the phone, or use the phone itself as a mouse trackpad.
I think this is a Windows limitation, because while using the same "Wireless DEX" feature on 3 different TV's:
Sony (Android)
LG (WebOS)
Samsung
I'm able to control the touch/mouse within DEX, using any TV built in Air mouse, no issues at all.
Are you able to use your Mobile PC mouse on the "Projection" image coming from (Phone) DEX to the PC (Connect)?
Thanks again,
Regards,
I am... I have a Lenovo legion y530... With graphics card. Not sure if that makes a difference.

Your PC and Note 20 should be connected to the same WiFi. I can use both my wireless mouse (MX Master 2S) and my logitech keyboard, if it helps.
