Use Hands Free BT Headset for Video Audio? - Touch Pro, Fuze General

No problem getting some DVDs into WMV and onto the FUZE. Can play fine, and sound through the speaker. Is there a way to redirect the audio to my BT headset? BT is a Plantronics Voyager 510 for hands free calling. In the BT dialog box it is shown as "Hands free" and cannot find a way to define it with any other properties.

How to install?
Sorry to be so lame, but I'm new to this phone. In my past experience one double clicks an application file an it gets put on the list to install at the next sync. I downloaded both of your recommendations, now can't figure out what to do with them. I have been noticing EXE files for the FUZE, and tried just copying them in, but the programs do not show up on the Programs list. So, a bit of hand holding please: how to install both types.
Thanks, Mike

A2DP help on ppc-6700

Hello,
I am having some issues getting A2DP working on my sprint ppc-6700, I recently got a moto s805 stereo bluetooth headset and cannot figure this out. Searching didn't help much since the recent AKU upgrades confuse (at least for me) what should and should not be done, so please bear with me.
The headset work with windows (and linux) via A2DP and with my phone as hands free, I can make calls.
I just upgraded to kirvin's 3.5 clean & simple ROM, I thought this would give me A2DP "out of the box".
When I start any player morts (3.31b59), coreplayer or wmp I get a blip of audio and then for most part nothing. Sometimes after it stops, I get audio out of the speaker or wired headphones, however setting the s805 to "wireless stereo" seems to keep the audio stream over the headset, but I only get a low hiss or random blips of sound. The AVRCP seems to work as I can control mort's skip fwd & back even when no audio is coming out of the headset.
It seemed like the poor thing couldn't keep up so I also tried XCPUscalar to overclock the processor, but that did not help either.
Are there any reg hacks to get his working?
Is the widcomm stack an option and should I consider it?
Should I be using a specific file format/bit rate? I tried just about everything including mp3 128bps with no change in performance.
Should I be using another AKU version or build?
Are there any decent how to's? I wouldn't mind learning a bit, but just getting it done would be fine too.
Thanks in advance.

I figured this out, but still don't have a sure fire way of getting it workikng every time.
In short it will only work if the wireless stereo icon pops up when I enable bluetooth, if not I get a blip of audio and them nothing or just nothing at all.

Nokia bh-501 stereo bluetooth headset

hey guy,
I'm having problems getting this thing to work properly, i've searched and searched and can't seem to find anyone else with this problem:
Device pairs fine and seems to function perfectly as a handsfree, however, using media player the audio comes out of the phone even as the 'click' sound effects are coming out the headset! Can't seem to get any audio from media player or core player to come out the headset, the 'htc streaming media player' uses the headset but you can't open files etc using that.
I've tried with WM5 and WM6, same results.
Anyone faced this problem before?
Hi
I've just purchased this headset last week and am thoroughly impressed by it so far. There's not much info on it out there but theres a few characteristics I've found out about this headset; i wonder if you can help me confirm them.
- It seems like when you take the headset off your head it automatically turns off? at first I thought mine was faulty but this behaviour was quite consistent and I figured it was just a power saving feature.
- seems like it likes to turn by itself if idle quite fast.
- need to manually set the device as hands free for it to actually work as a hands free
- unable to use the mic when connecting to pc. I wanted to use it for my sip client on the pc but alas the microphone function doesn't register? What should I be doing to make this work?
In regards to your problem; I'll outline the steps I take to use mine.
1. turn on headset
2. turn on trinity bluetooth from comm manager
3. go to bluetooth settings from settings
4. touch and hold down the nokia bh501 item until the drop down menu appears ,then select "set as wireless audio" or similar
--> you should hear a sound, if you can hear this then it will work, if theres nothing
--> alternatively, select hands free if you want to use it as hands free!
5. open your favorite mp3's and it should work fine.
Does this work for you? Btw im using Mun's TE wm6 rom. What rom are u using?
Eureka!
Your post made me realise I had only tried the headset with AAC files and not MP3 and guess what? The headset only works with MP3 files! Although this is probably a limitation of the trinity.
I can also confirm it doesn't work with nerodigital video files.
I'm using the GPS enabled WM5 Ship ROM.
I'll do some more tests on different media files, it would be a real shame if we're limited to only MP3s...
EDIT: Wow the sound quality is amazing and the bass is fantastic!
I haven't tried playing AAC files because I haven't got any...I specifically converted all my formats so I could use GS player. I'm pretty sure the headset can play WMA as well..I haven't really tested...
The next thing I notice is this constant high pitch ringing or hissing sound...It's very uncomfortable.
I've seen reports of this all over the forum in regards to the Triity, let's hope there is a fix available soon.
wma file work.
i have wm6 and a motorola ht820 and it works great. the only thing is that the perfomance of the trinity decrease while i'm using the bluetooth-headset.

BT ouput on handsfree

Hi Everyone,
I had a strange thing happen to me in the car the other day and I was wondering if anyone had any views on it. As my phone linked up to the cars BT hands free kit the radio cut out as if I was making a call.
To get the radio on I had to turn BT off on the phone.
Interestingly enough when this happened I had Audio manager running. And right enough I played a track and it came out on the cars speakers. This would be quite useful only I havent managed to repeat it yet.
Certainly I get a bit of music in the 'gaps' when I make a call if audio manager is running but that is it.
Cheers,
Andy
!!! come on guys !!!! someone give me some feedback !!!
BUMP
Anyone ? Please ...
i believe theres is a program called bttoggle or btcicle, which routes audio to bluetooth on running it, i use it to route audio thru my bt headset once in a while, a simple search for bttoggle or something like that should sort it, i wonder if i can upload it here... mods if this file is not allowed please delete...
oh the way i use it is i just kept those files on my storage card and put a shortcut for the btaudiotoggle in the programs folder...thats it..click to turn on audio to bluetooth, click again to turn off..
You might want to check if your Wizard is paired with the car BT using A2DP in addition to handsfree mode. If so, that could explain it -- to fix it, just turn off the A2DP pairing on the Wizard, then re-establish the connection when you want to use the Wizard as an audio player.
No A2DP
Nah just a parrot hands free kit in the car. just wanted to be able to play through it as well as making phone calls.

[REQ] Redirect sound to BT audio headset

Hi All,
I currently use a TyTN and ready to buy a Raphael.
I use the "Destination Gotland Bluetooth Mono Sound" to redirect all sounds to my Samsung WEP 410 headset (essentially from my GPS program (IGO 8)).
I search everywhere but didn't find any equivalent for the HTC Raphael.
Can someone tell me if another program or feature exists on the Raphael to do this ?
This is very important for me as I use a very noisy car and I can't listen the GPS when I drive.
Many thanks.
Daniel.
Same thing?
I ran the same thing on my tytn. Did you find a sleeker solution than running an app before opening the music?
BTAudio toggle works. There's three files, Toggle, On and Off.

problem with music on headset

Hello. I have headset: creative fatality hs-800, in computer work without a problem. When attaching them to HTC One S and listen to music on the phone about an hour automatically rewinds the music stops or changes to another. The same thing was happening on hd2 with android. Please help or clarification
Same thing was happening to me when I was on the HD2, now on One S with no issues. If I remember correctly there were a few things I tried.
1. Downloaded wxMP3val, just google it, its a free download to clean up MP3's. (windows)
2. Used a 4-conductor (TRRS) type phone connector, look at wiki page (phone connector audio), Looks like yours would be this type, not sure about that. This seemed to work for me on HD2 running WM6.5.
3. Could also use "Sound About" app from Play Store to set the audio path to, Speakers, Headphone with Mic, etc. there is an option for to the app to decide, but did not work for me, had to set manually each time I plugged in and out, kinda a pain but a work around for 4.2 based Roms for One S.
Hope this helps, Good Luck!
Go to the marketplace and search for: "Headset blocker" by roadkill. It will prevent you from changing tracks using the controller on the headphone wire, but at least your music won't change randomly.
Hope that helps!
my HD2, HD7, and OneS all had this problem with my seinhieser, klipsch, and generic headphones... I think there's something up with HTC
