hey guy,
I'm having problems getting this thing to work properly, i've searched and searched and can't seem to find anyone else with this problem:
Device pairs fine and seems to function perfectly as a handsfree, however, using media player the audio comes out of the phone even as the 'click' sound effects are coming out the headset! Can't seem to get any audio from media player or core player to come out the headset, the 'htc streaming media player' uses the headset but you can't open files etc using that.
I've tried with WM5 and WM6, same results.
Anyone faced this problem before?
Hi
I've just purchased this headset last week and am thoroughly impressed by it so far. There's not much info on it out there but theres a few characteristics I've found out about this headset; i wonder if you can help me confirm them.
- It seems like when you take the headset off your head it automatically turns off? at first I thought mine was faulty but this behaviour was quite consistent and I figured it was just a power saving feature.
- seems like it likes to turn by itself if idle quite fast.
- need to manually set the device as hands free for it to actually work as a hands free
- unable to use the mic when connecting to pc. I wanted to use it for my sip client on the pc but alas the microphone function doesn't register? What should I be doing to make this work?
In regards to your problem; I'll outline the steps I take to use mine.
1. turn on headset
2. turn on trinity bluetooth from comm manager
3. go to bluetooth settings from settings
4. touch and hold down the nokia bh501 item until the drop down menu appears ,then select "set as wireless audio" or similar
--> you should hear a sound, if you can hear this then it will work, if theres nothing
--> alternatively, select hands free if you want to use it as hands free!
5. open your favorite mp3's and it should work fine.
Does this work for you? Btw im using Mun's TE wm6 rom. What rom are u using?
Eureka!
Your post made me realise I had only tried the headset with AAC files and not MP3 and guess what? The headset only works with MP3 files! Although this is probably a limitation of the trinity.
I can also confirm it doesn't work with nerodigital video files.
I'm using the GPS enabled WM5 Ship ROM.
I'll do some more tests on different media files, it would be a real shame if we're limited to only MP3s...
EDIT: Wow the sound quality is amazing and the bass is fantastic!
I haven't tried playing AAC files because I haven't got any...I specifically converted all my formats so I could use GS player. I'm pretty sure the headset can play WMA as well..I haven't really tested...
The next thing I notice is this constant high pitch ringing or hissing sound...It's very uncomfortable.
I've seen reports of this all over the forum in regards to the Triity, let's hope there is a fix available soon.
wma file work.
i have wm6 and a motorola ht820 and it works great. the only thing is that the perfomance of the trinity decrease while i'm using the bluetooth-headset.

With my SonyEricsson k800i I can use HID and control the P3600.
Plantronics 590A - perfect. It even switches from TV source to phone when somebody is calling. Previous/next track works. Redial works. All features fully work with Trinity. EXCELLENT
One strange thing though: I was listening to music on Trinity and paused it from the headset. After one minute Trinity went to sleep, screen went off. I pressed resume on headset and the music started again with screen remaining COMPLETELY OFF. However, a few seconds later the music stopped just when I was beginning to think I discovered a way to keep music playing with screen light off .
Next few tries whenever I press resume on headset screen starts and music resumes normally.

Music buttons work also with Windows Media Player.
Hi All,
I also have the DS970 bluetooth kit, and it works like a charm, but i have a question. Anyone managed to have the current music playing displayed on the screen? And the name of the called, instead of the caller id? Anyone?
thanks,

JABRA BT-320s Stereo Headphone.
I bought this 2 days ago and I struggled to connect it with the Trinity. Here are the problems I came up against.
1. Mono (not stereo) sound using Media Player (WMP). Found this registry hack in other threads ---> Set HKLM/Software/Microsoft/Bluetooth/A2DP/Settings/[UseJointStereo = 0] (was 1 decimal).
2. WMP stalls briefly from time to time. From the same thread:
HKLM/Software/Microsoft/Bluetooth/A2DP/Settings/[BitPool = 45] (was 30decimal).
HKLM/Software/Microsoft/Bluetooth/A2DP/Settings/[MaxSupportedBitPool = 45] (was 30 decimal).
3. When handsfree to phone, the bt320s would drop out while the caller was connected. I tried a hard reset of Trinity in case there was a conflict with other software. This didn't help. I then found an undocumented way to reset the bt320s and that fixed it. It is now working well for listening to music, handling calls or using the Voice Speed Dial . To reset the bt320s:
a. Turn off the bt320s.
b. Connect and disconnect the bt320s to its charger 3 times leaving it on the charger for 3-5 seconds each time.
c. Delete the bt320s partnership on the PDA
d. Pair the bt320s to the PDA again.
Big thanks to all others on this forum and other forums for their help.

Unfortunately these features are not supported.
I THINK that the A2DP profile doesn't cover sending music file metadata at all (I am not sure)
Thanks for your help, but i am curious about this functionality. Does anyone know if these headset show the song playing when used with a sony mobile?
thanks,
Luís

This doesn't work with the Nokia HS-12W either on any of the Windows Mobile BT stacks and versions I've ever tested.
Did anyone successfully manage to listen to music via A2DP on the Plantronics Pulsar 260?

And with mortplayer, with coreplayer in a future revision and with 40th iplay.
By the way, I have a DS970 too, and when I receives an incoming call I can see the caller ID but then the handsfree hangs up. Do someone has the same problem? I have this problem when I'm listening music and when I'm only connected waiting a call.
G'Day ,
Just purchased the BlueAnt Micro X3 Bluetooth Headset for my Dopod D810. So far very nice, works extremely well, great range and no static. Only very slight echo. I will be sending Blueant an email to see if they have a solution or fix.
Here is a link:

The unit itself is very small, but comfortable a lot nicer than my previous Nokia 202 which produced a lot of static.

Hello,
I am having some issues getting A2DP working on my sprint ppc-6700, I recently got a moto s805 stereo bluetooth headset and cannot figure this out. Searching didn't help much since the recent AKU upgrades confuse (at least for me) what should and should not be done, so please bear with me.
The headset work with windows (and linux) via A2DP and with my phone as hands free, I can make calls.
I just upgraded to kirvin's 3.5 clean & simple ROM, I thought this would give me A2DP "out of the box".
When I start any player morts (3.31b59), coreplayer or wmp I get a blip of audio and then for most part nothing. Sometimes after it stops, I get audio out of the speaker or wired headphones, however setting the s805 to "wireless stereo" seems to keep the audio stream over the headset, but I only get a low hiss or random blips of sound. The AVRCP seems to work as I can control mort's skip fwd & back even when no audio is coming out of the headset.
It seemed like the poor thing couldn't keep up so I also tried XCPUscalar to overclock the processor, but that did not help either.
Are there any reg hacks to get his working?
Is the widcomm stack an option and should I consider it?
Should I be using a specific file format/bit rate? I tried just about everything including mp3 128bps with no change in performance.
Should I be using another AKU version or build?
Are there any decent how to's? I wouldn't mind learning a bit, but just getting it done would be fine too.
Thanks in advance.
-shiggs
I figured this out, but still don't have a sure fire way of getting it workikng every time.
In short it will only work if the wireless stereo icon pops up when I enable bluetooth, if not I get a blip of audio and them nothing or just nothing at all.
Hi everyone,
I know there's much answers, threads, articles but I dont have clear in A2DP problem solution for Magician.
Is there any way to Set as Wireless Stereo my bluetooth stereo headphones?
I googled, search this forum for couple of days, but I cant find solution.
The one worked for me: "bchs_for_pocket_pc_ozone.armv4.cab" but nothing else. Worked like worked...
I didnt have clear sound in my headset and there is also tons of other sticky things (works just with WMP, unstable connection... ). Also there's just Set as Hands-free instead of Set as Wireless Stereo (or something like that).
Okay, music is streamed to heaphones, but I cannot use e.g. PocketMusic or Pocket Player and what's the top: when I want to have good (but still not clear) sound, I cant do anything with Magician while playing music, because every tap, every movement with scrollbar comes with lagging sound
Someone with similar problems?
Someone with solution???
Thx a lot for every response
I found particular solution. TCMP player. There's an option to change buffers and also a good equalizer (it have just one bug: when I turn it on, in music I hear little annoying-crispy sounds).
TCMP has also option to change number of output channels (stereo, stereo-swapped, mono join, mono left, mono right) + other things.
But I am still waiting for some advices, ideas...
Have a nice day
Hi! I have a brand new Jabra 620s bluetooth-headset. When I turn the headset on and search for bluetooth devices on my computer I can see it, but I cant see it when I search for it on my touch pro.
What could be the problem here?
I had a similar problem last night (and have it quite often when i need to pair). It doesn't detect it until the 3rd or 4th time in which last night it didn't even detect it either. I power cycled the headset and my phone found it the first time.
Yeah, I tried rebooting my headset and my phone several times, but I still can't get it to work...
Figured it out... Had to hold in a button on the headsett to make it avaliable for new devices...
But new problem:
I don't get sound in the headsett when I play music. But when I make a call the sound is in the headsett. What could be the problem here?
Maybe its the settings in your a2dp profile?
I read this "Set-up of the 620's was simple enough, the headset unit is paired with the device that is streaming the music and / or a mobile phone. A smart move from Jabra allows the 620s to be connected to both a mobile phone and an audio device simultaneously. However our set-up was rather more straight forward than most as we used Jabra's own Bluetooth dongle that supports the all important A2DP (Advanced Audio Distribution Profile) profile. Real life for most users is a different kettle of fish with support for A2DP being quite sparse, most music gateways and servers and even music ready mobiles rarely support the required profile." source: http://www.lordpercy.com/jabra_bt620s_review.htm
Maybe some tweaking in hklm\\software\microsoft\bluetooth\a2dp\Settings
I believe this headset also supports AVRCP profile. In any case, make note of your original configuration prior to making any changes.

You can use Advanced Config to enlarge the bluetooth bitpool under the bluetooth tweaks. Set it to "very high" for best sound quality (uses more system resources tough).
HTH
Maximum bit-pool setting is 1561. I dont think it solves the problem, cause the quality is still really bad.
Any other tips? Or do I have to return the headset cause a brand new ~1000$ phone cant play on a wireless bluetooth headset?!
Bump.. Are there really no solutions?
SOLVED!!!
Hi there,
Ever since I have my Touch Diamond and My cherished Nokia A2DP headset, I've been enjoying wireless music, calling and everything at the touch of a few buttons on my headset.
Recently I finally flashed to winmo 6.5, and I also decided that Touchflo was costing me too much precious memory. So I flashed to a nice clean rom (BsB).
Everything cool so far, that is, until I tried my BT headset. With out the touchflo player you're automatically dependent on windows media player, and if there is one piece of software that makes listening to music a b*tch it's wmp. So I installed pocketmusic. Everything fine so far. but the controls on my bt headset stubbornly only work with AND automatically start WMP. very irritating. after extensive searching of the beloved XDA forums I found out that this was a known problem. WMP Hijacking BT controls.
And finally it appeared I had found the solution: T-back's 6.5 BT driver.cab
This was supposed to give back the control of Bluetooth to the program running at the moment. all the coments left in said thread were joyous, it works, it's alive...
So I installed it, and too my suprise it did indeed stop WMP from hijacking the controls and also assigned the controls to pocketmusic...
Unfortunatly it also stopped the audio from going to my Bt headset, which kind of beats the purpose of a bluetooth headset.
So now I'm back to listening to music without T-back's driver, on my BT headset, and having to control my music on screen, which is a little irritating.
I've allready replied to the thread in hopes of getting a solution or something, but unfortunatly no reply.
I'm hoping someone beter technically endowed than me can give me a solution for this problem, this is the only thing standing between me, and my perfect rom!
HELP
Note, I tried this on 2 different winmo 6.5.1 rom's (benko's clean and the BsB 6.5.1)
note2: could this maybe be something having to do with the difference between 6.5 and 6.5.1?
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
I don't know about the ROM being the problem. You can try pocket player. It supports AVRCP by default. It also has a lot more features than Pocket Music.

Same problem there, i've tried them both.
you wouldn't happen to knwo what the latest version was by any chance?
I had a version which I had to import a dll, to get exclusivity for a2dp controls.
Which also didn't work for me
*edit* Never mind, it's 4.1 ;-)
But it's not really the solution I'm looking for, I want to fix the problem internally (so I can use a2dp for any program I want, for example S2P)
*edit 2*
Tried it, still not working, it's still starting WMP, even with the extra wmp plugin which Conduits recommends for this issue...
So still in need of assistance
Crap! It turns out I have the same problem using ENERGY ROM, but hadn't notice since the volume control on my HT820 works OK. I'm actually using HTC Audio Manager (manila) so I don't get WMP, is just the FWD / REV controls on the headphones don't work. Looks like Conduits will provide a fix for their player in the next release.

Nope, there not fixing it, that is the fix, it's a DLL file. the problem he's having is he isn't able to check the box to override wmp control. which you can do by selecting it, and then pressing the enter key on your virtual keyboard, unfortunatly the fix did not work for me
this is the dll file you need to put into your player directory, which you can then configure through the plugins tab in pocket player itself (after soft reset)
Try it, maybe it'll work for you, it didn't for me
volume control does work for me as well though, but it's the only thing taht's working
Solved
Thanx to Zänker
You should install the two files from these posts.
With this one you can toggle a2dp manually once your headset is connected:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=437726
The following makes it toggle automatically after you connect your headset:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=502549
(you should have the t-back driver installed as well)
Worked for me, using the bsb 6.5.1g rom and s2p media player.

Is that player dependent ?
I usually use Pocket Tunes, and never had this issue with 6.5 builds (I indeed use BsB 6.5.1G atm). If it helps i use Sony-Ericsson HBH-DS970...

In case you're interested...
Juts fixed my AVRCP problem using HTC Audio Manager in NRG's ROM. I installed this version of audio manager and everything is working fine.
