Hii guys i have started facing a strange problem with my htc s710..
My Vox is nearly 1 year old first of all my battery back up is pathetic lasts for just around 15 hours after full charge and just using for talking.
Secondly it takes a hell lot of time to charge it nearly 5-6 hours.
I am fed up of it could you please tell me is it a hardware or s/w issue!!
I am using an older version of Dr. Gonzo's Rom
One more thing as my phone is still under warranty i want to know that if i take my cell with this cooked rom to the service centre would my warranty be intact or i should first flash it back to the stock rom and then take it there so that if there is some h/w issue i can get it fixed soon.
Please Reply friends as my warranty will get over by the end of the comng week..
I experience similar problems. My charging takes very long now. But the capacity doesn't seem to drop. During my vacation I got the Vox through 3 days without recharging, BUT I didn't use it very much obviously (on rose v0.3)! But then again I charge it for an hour and then I look in power management and it didn't charge 1 %. And that is the strange part^^
I am going to buy a 1300 mAh battery since it has the same size as the standard one.
I was thinking of going for a 2250 mah battery would it fit into my vox??
I guess their shouldn't be any problems except it being a little extra bulky!!!!
With those batteries you also get an extended back cover that sticks out.
So will they be buldging out from the back of my vox??
Was Thinking of getting them from megacapacity .com

You can see the back cover behind the battery. The normal one is flat!
Thanx a lot frauhottelmann for guiding me else i would have boght that one..
One more thing can just tell from where i could get a 1300mAh battery that can be shipped to india as i am in india.???

If I am not wrong, your warranty will be void . we are in India, you know ^^. better search this forum and get the 'Official' ROM downloaded and flashed before taking it to service centre. Best of Luck
I found the 1300 mAh battery on eBay. But I am in Germany so this is a different thing! It was produced somewhere in the EU!
The extra capacity battery + extended door really sucks, it makes the Vox uncomfortable to hold. I have 2 of them due to a BoxWave screw up and I actually never used them because of how it felt with them on. I carried an OEM in my wallet and it was sufficiant.
The 1300 mAh battery is a PolarCell Li-Polymer battery. Maybe you can find it somewhere else, I didn't!
Eten.hu used to have it, for some reason it's gone now though. I'll try and find somewhere else for ya.
Thanx h4waii if you could find it for me!!!
I experience the same problems as you guys with the original battery...I just bought a Polarcell Li-Po battery 2 days ago from Ebay. It can be easily found at http://myworld.ebay.de/wannsee-electronic/. Until now, it works fine, but in the past I bought several crappy Ebay batteries which failed after two weeks. So lets hope that this Polarcell is really better!
You probably bought the same I ordered yesterday. It should be here tomorrow, I'll post my feedback later during the week!
Well I received the battery yesterday and so far it looks pretty good. I charged it over the night and right now there is still 88% left which is very good!
I just bought a battery replacement, 1100mAh. Charged it yesterday, used it over night for pictures and videos, surfed the web for one hour and a half, talked 15 min, and now only 52% remained.
I think it`s ok.
To all users of Vox in india,
Has anyone tried purchasing new battery from the following site?
http://shopping.rediff.com/shop/pro...rfnbr=10345357&source=browse&frompg=Batteries
One of the shop dealer in Bangalore is telling me it would cost 1800 Rs.(which is quite expensive!!).
Please let me know if someone is successfully bought from the above link, so that i can also place the order ...
Thanks,
I just sent an email to Wannsee, where I purchased the Polarcell 1300. I'm not satisfied, I think it is a cheap battery which works quite nice in the first weeks, but the capacity seems to drop significantly after a couple of cycles. No problem for an Ebay trader, because usually feedback is given after a couple of days of having received the item.
Let's see what they will tell me

Hi everybody !
After 1 year using 1800mah battery with new back cover with my diamond, I found a new one 3 days ago.
It's 1600mAh battery from China ( Galilio DPD - S900 )
http://www.made-in-china.com/showroom/miya1986#page4I can use it normaly within 3 days without charging ( haven't test with wifi/gps/3G- just only make and receive calls )
A amazing thing that it fits with diamond perfectly ( don't have to change back cover ) and It cost only 10$ in my country.
I know that I'm risk by using this battery - don't know what will happend but I don't care because I used diamond 2 years. Now I'm really happy with this, my diamond come back with sexy look like when she was born - so wonderful.
I'll post a picture when I come home.

i think is it..but is 1400 mah

I found it on google:

You should contact with them for more details.
Mine is DPD-S900 and I'm using with O2 XDA Diamond ( the same with HTC Diamond except the back cover ). It cost only 10$ in my country.
I've re-checked : mine's 1400mAH ( not 1600 )
Hello there,
would you mind running this .exe on your phone and telling what the Full(mAh) indicates? I have purchased Galilio batteries before and the reading is different than what is indicated on the sticker.
Thanks so much for your time.
@vjgrace:
Full = 900
I don't care about this ( not sure this's right or wrong ) but my device can work in 2 days ( with sense 2.5 rom ) , 3 days with sense 2.1 rom without charging

my battery runs 3 days no probs with standard htc 900 battery as long as i dont use wifi or 3g, just like in your tests.
the battery your using seems to suck real bad. only way to truly get a higher capacity battery is if its physically bigger in size too.
im gonna go after the 1340mzh original htc extended battery option insted. its guaranteed extra capacity.
I also bought a Galilio DPD-S900 battery, but it doesn't work. I put it on my diamond, but after 3 led-round it stopped any activity and later it start to switch on the cellular and immediately switch off.
There's anything I can do ? Maybe the battery have to be "waken up" with an higher voltage ?
that goes to show what the quality of this battery is like.
its not cheapo for no reason man. you cut costs and you will loose out in quality. better off paying the money for a proper battery, its gonna last you a good 2 to 3 years then.
i have an htc diamond p3490..im from india..
im going to extend my battery to 1300mAh..
can this battery is compatible with my model and is it compulsory to buy back cover for this extended battery,..?

The battery-tool shows FULL (mAh) 1340 on my diamond, but I still have the original 900 mAh battery
My diamond was in repair a few months ago, and after that my diamond ran 2-4 days before the battery is low (with permanent bluetooth on). Before repair it was 1-2 days.

is it Magic?
Great collection of images.
As much as I love my new Desire, one thing I am not so keen on is how fast it is possible to rip through a fully charged battery.
I have already found that a fully charged Desire that is unplugged when I leave for work at 7am will need a charge by around 3pm!
This may be due to my usage, but what's the point of having a smartphone unless you use it to the max
Previously I had a Raphael which had a similar problem, which I solved by getting an extended battery from eBay.
Extended batteries for the Desire seemed pretty scarce on eBay - most of the ones on there being for the Nexus one which has a slightly different backplate. I did find one for £13.99 that was shipped from Hong Kong, so I thought it was worth a try.
Around 2 weeks later this arrived in the post:
{

}
First impressions were good, the backplate felt pretty solid and has a nice rubberised finish to it.
It was promptly fitted to my Desire:
Again I was impressed with the quality, the backplate fitted perfectly - no gaps or bulges:
It also passed the most important test; not bursting into flames when i plugged the charger in!
As you can see it doubles the thickness of the Desire, but its not too obtrusive in my opinion. As a bonus you can actually stand the phone on its side for video watching
Today was the first full day of usage, and so far it has been running for 14 hours and the battery level (Using Battery Indicator Pro) is at 14%.
That includes 97 texts sent, around 20 minutes of calls, 10 minutes using RAC Traffic app (GPS), 10 minutes using Google Maps, 30 minutes with the WiFi on using VNC to connect to a machine at work, say 10 minutes of browsing, and randomly checking emails & Twitter throughout the day. (sync was turned off)
This is pretty much exactly what I wanted - being able to go a whole day without a charge, and still use the phone as I pleased. The trade-off is a slightly bigger and heavier phone but I can live with that
If anyone wants I an extended battery I heartily recommend one like this.
Is it ok to link to eBay sellers? As I don't mind providing the link.
Now i'm off to (finally) charge my phone...
Thanks for the review, ebay seller links are fine or just give the item number/seller? How about in the pocket, it must feel heavy and bulging out?
I was thinking about getting one of these, thanks. As above, same question really does it make it feel considerably heavier?
What about this one?

Although the back cover looks better people on another forum have said that this battery is not that good and seems to not give any extra juice compared to the original. Check my posts about it here, I would not get that battery:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=673449&page=9
Eurgh, that back cover looks terrible.
This is the one I bought:
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/2500MAH-EXTEN...UK_Mobiles_Accessories_RL&hash=item4150ccfef7
According to my kitchen scales the Desire weighs 165g with the extended battery fitted.
It doesn't feel considerably heavier, and still fits fine in the back pocket of my jeans.
Currently it's been running for 17 hours and has 32% left
I have one too since yesterday exactly the same battery. I must say I havent seen so much different so far. Maybe slighter better but I thought it would be much better than that.

£14 you mean?
I've really had no problems with the battery. It's much better than my old G1, and I use my phone constantly to check e-mail, twitter and play games during smoke breaks. The battery lasts from 9am til about 10pm. I'm using OpenDesire but haven't tested other ROMs.
this is medium to low usage and i get 2days with default battery.
would put such cover crap on my desire
I dunno what's the big deal with those big batteries? The phones original battery workes all fine. Just turn off all widgets, like "Mobile"-internet widget who drains most power of them all, and you'll survive for next 6 upcomming days - with one charge! And before U think that big battery is "good", maybe u shall take a look here: http://batteryboss.org/
I can easily do that with my normal battery. This looks like crap. Did you even train your battery when you just got your Desire?
Bought an extended one with 2500 mah at ebay.
Use it for about two days.
My results is about 30 hours of usage with icq always on, some calls, refresh mail and weather.
Not so bat, but i've expected more...
The cover looks horrid - I'll stick to charging my phone each night thank you!!
Adding maybe 1 hour of battery life with a battery that is more than likely crap quality and will degrade after 1 week AND adding a back cover that makes the phone look like crap?
No thanks.
Hi there, do you still have the link to the extended battery you bought?

I'd love to have this battery, but then again I'd hate to damage my beloved Desire without my silicone case, so to be or not to be, eh?!
by the way, to save battery, hold power button till some noptions come up, at the bottom there is an internet option, just click that to turn internet connection off whenever you are not useing the phone! gives me 2 days with heavy use (gaming, music etc)

Hey, i hope that some1 has a answer to my problem
I am on android 4.2.2 from albinoman and (no im not saying that his rom killed my batteries) my sensation blew my 3rd battery already! i buy them new in original package when they are FLAT, after 4 months my battery 'exploded' and has a bump on it now (3rd battery allready)
so, why does my sensation kills the batteries, allready gave 75 euros in total for the 3 batteries.
now if i start up my phone, it can last for 4 hours, and it shutdowns several times in a day and the battery goes from 100% to 5% in 4 seconds sometimes. the bump on my current battery is so huge, that the back cover pushess my screen to the touch glass :crying:
please help me!

Try an Anker battery. I heard they are reliable. Costs 10€ a piece in german amazon, and they're good.

Yes all batteries should be flat...Did you try new battery with different ROM ? Maybe you are heavy user and you overheat your battery(To much time on phone, you are using your phone while charging etc..)you should check you battery temp when you are on the phone (dial *#*#4636#*#* and go in to battery info) and please use your original htc charger if you do tests with new battery and different rom ... If is the same maybe you have hardware issues..
This is just my opinion

So i got a Note 4 recently and immediately went for the Mugen Power 6640 mah extended battery. I will be posting some results from my experience with pictures of course in the coming days, as soon as i get my hands on the thing that is.

Yes that's the same battery. I see there's quite a few pages on that thread, did anyone actually post test results, i went through the last few pages and didn't see much. I did notice someone said the case i bought should fit, (fingers crossed)

How have you found the battery life? Reason I'm asking is because I've tried the Anker 6440 extended battery and unless I didn't "condition" it properly I didn't see much of a better battery life than stock battery. Why I'm returning it.
For me gonna try the cheap battery cases like the knock off Mophie types from eBay and Amazon.
Last night I tried to kill it from a full charge. I got over almost 7.5 hours of screen on time mostly just running cpu+gpu stability test within full brightness, GPS, wifi, Bluetooth enabled with sync going every 15 minutes.
That's pretty good. For me I don't find much difference so I'm returning mine but glad you're getting better results than me. I also have the zerolemon 10,000 mAh beast but way too bulky for normal use.
Hopefully my cheap power bank battery cases come soon and I can try it out. For $17 shipped I figure not much to lose
Also you probably get what you pay for there. The Mugen is a $90 product, the Anker is a $30 product. You can't possibly think they are the same quality even though they are both rated the same capacity.

Kinda like i was saying before, with lithium ion stuff and also varying types of battery packs chemistry, usually you get what you pay for. I've used Mugen products on my Tmobile G2, HTC Evo 3d, and my One m7, all performed the same for the 2 years i had the phone, the cheap ones don't last the length of the contract.

That's true I guess but I've tried both Anker and Hyperion extended batteries and they're supposed to be reputable companies. And both don't seem to last as long as their advertised battery sizes. For me I'm not willing to pay $90 to get a few extra on screen hours (I'm averaging about 6 hrs OST with stock battery)

I'm sure I could get a lot of screen on time with normal use like power saver with auto brightness. Remember those numbers I got with screen on are maximum power consumption, max screen brightness, wifi, GPS, Bluetooth with a benchmark running both cpu and gpu at the same time. I guess it would be useful to see how long the stock battery does under the same conditions to get the big picture. 7.5 hours under those conditions has to translate to much more with power saver reducing cpu usage and auto brightness. I don't need full cpu speed unless I'm playing games.
thanx for sharing
I am still in the process of conditioning the battery. It stays at like 1% for 3 hours of full brightness screen time on the stabilty test cpu/gpu app. It's very good battery life so far. Will report back when i get everything together. Heres a couple teasers.

From the ones I've seen the Nohon one has the most and best reviews but I've also read on reddit and other places some comments that they're not that good. Is there any difference or all the same just different brand?
I'm using Nohon ATM. It's fine but not perfect. After 2-3 weeks battery condition dropped to ~90% and its holding this from few months. Other and for sure not genuine. I have replaced my battery because it has under 70% health.

I guess I will try the Nohon as well. The rest are cheap enough as well where I can try them if the Nohon one doesn't work.
My battery is around 80% and it discharges super fast even when not in use, so that's why I'm thinking of replacing it. Thanks
There is one more thing worth mentioning. With Nohon battery charging over 20W is not working.
Oh well, that's not that bad, only 10 less than the warp charger
How do i find out my battery condition?

Battery Guru, accubattery, apps like that. You need to do a few charges and it will tell you after

Figured I'd try replacing the battery, it's been about 3 years and I'm at like 80% health or so.
Does anyone know if any of these are worth trying?

I ordered the first link back in November (2022 100% Original New Replacement Battery 4000mAh BLP699 For OnePlus 7Pro) and it appears to be OEM. Different manufacturer from my original battery, but so far it seems to be providing the full 4000mAh and dash charging is working fine. Battery manufacture date was October 2022, which is brand spanking new. It also comes with some of the tools required.

I ordered a separate replacement adhesive for the glass back.
So far so good.
How do the batteries you bought hold up? I am currently at 55% original capacity and cannot decide what to buy...

I bought a BLP745 for my 7T Pro from the same AliExpress store as you, my battery was also dated October 2022. I did the swap yesterday and last night was the first charge to 100%. So far two hours have passed since I unplugged and I'm at 97%. With my original battery, I would have been at around 85% by now. I'm using accubattery to see what the capacity of the new battery is, I'll report back in a week or so. I have yet to try warp charge also, never really used it previously to be honest. I usually just let my phone slow charge over night for the past three years.

In the last month and a half, very solid. Accubattery is reporting 104% of design capacity.

Nice. Make sure you do a few full drain to 0% and recharge cycles to calibrate. I had some shutoffs at 20% before I did the full cycle calibrations

Not sure. I'm not on OOS
Appreciate the information shared here. I'm pretty sure that I need to do this for my 7 Pro soon.
The Ali Express site is showing estimated delivery of July 15 (I'm in the NYC area). Has anyone found a reliable source for these batteries with faster delivery to the US?

A couple weeks with that one and it works like a champ. Hopefully it will stay that way
