Viewing Full Html On Opera Browser - Touch Pro, Fuze General

How do you enable it so Opera Browser will view the full html page? And not the mobile pages.

Did you ever played with the settings of Opera???
Last screen looks like full HTML display to me?!?

I do play with the settings. Mobile view is not checked. For example when I go to Yahoo.com\Nfl.com it's not the full html page it's the mobile version. When I go to Msn.com it's the full deal, but when I click on a link it returns into mobile version.

AFAIK some web pages will still recognize you as "Coming with a mobile device".
Did you try opera-mini? The latest version is blazing fast but web address and text input is very small as it looks not vga supported but web pages in general work FAST I MEAN FAAAAAAAAAAAST since they do something similar as skyfire (caching web content...). You have to try to believe it!
Download it by surfing to opera-mini.com (current version is 4.2).
Attached file:
Just run it on your PC WHILE connected to Active Sync to get rid of this annoying "yes" ... "yes" for data connections

Just released, Netfront 3.5. It rocks!!

There's a free trial of their completely redesigned 3.5 concept version web browser:
http://www.access-company.com/products/netfrontmobile/browser/35_wm_tp.html
I've been playing around with it tonight and I'm very impressed. It basically has all the speed advantages of Opera Mini in a proxy-less browser. The page rendering is very fast in full desktop view, with a cool full page view for quickly navigating to the desired section. The scrolling is momentum based, just like the iphone. Even with huge web pages, the scrolling remains smooth and it allows you to browse the page easily while it is still loading.
Go download it and check it out. I think you guys will be impressed.

have tried this today, impressions so far:-
using WiFi - WOW
using GPRS - soooooo slow
have to say it, this is brill but for day to day gonna have to stick with opera mini.
Chris
I didn't consider network speed requirements. My sprint connection is very fast on the HTC Vogue. the good thing about opera mini is the proxy helps with slow connections.
Got this last night and used it for a few hours and i must admit it is growing on me.
At first I thought opera mini was far better (and still is on grps/edge) but this is nice.
The only thing i dont like is the zoom. for me it would be nicer if the full page were full screen like mini, but that is only personal preference. it is quite good that you can see full size what you are looking at behind the zoom.
Not sure yet whether it is opera mini or Netfront for me yet (Netfront doent yet support plugins, but can be a default browser and does support links and downloads) but having it available until the end of march will certainly give us something to play with until Opera 9.5 arrives and really gives us all a challenge to decide.
it works well and has the advantage of default browser capability... but aside from links and downloads i like opera mini better, because it's more responsive and a whole lot faster / more accurate
I just started it:
At the default homepage the CPU usage is next to 0%.
But when I minimize netfront, it stays at 100%!!
Hello,i tried NetFront today and I think it is amazing, but i only tested on wifi and i don't succeed to connect me on gprs, yet I have entered the proxy address 195.115.25.168 from of operator: SFR (from france).
Can you help me please?
tested and feels better than opera mobile 8.65! zoom is also cool although not so cool like in opera mini 4..
It rocks on my touch....
But how to quick zoom the pages??

Thank you!!
This is the best browser which I have never seen.....
Very fast, stable on my Touch and it has lots of functions...
I can scroll all the pages with my finger, both horizontal and vertical ways...
And remember...
This is only a BETA!!!
o like the autocruise thingie. very very nice browser
This really might be the best browser out.
My settings for the fastest/best page viewing:
Browsing Mode: Simple
Display Mode: Normal
Zoom: 75%
Virtual Canvas: 1024x1024
It seems to be good on memory usage so far too.
Very cool
Very cool browser but its slow on AT&T's edge/gprs
can you watch youtube on it?
can you watch youtube using netfront?? or other videos from websites?
Phenomenal performance on wifi...seems to be a bit of a memory hog, but light years better than PIE...

No flash support as of yet, so no youtube. The web 2.0 sites work though. I tried out google maps and it actually worked, but very slow.
Anybody knows if they will release a smartphone version? I Guess this version isn't compatible with WM6 standard?

WHY??
skyfires startup time BEATS operas hands down
PLUS skyfire allows u to watch flash video and is flash enabled
unlike the newest opera which doesnt even support flash
Skyfire is QVGA, and looks quite bad on VGA. However, I haven't tried Opera Mini on VGA - can anyone comment?

Agreed. Also SkyFire's browsing & scrolling is absolutely far superior to Opera. The only thing SkyFire is missing is options - it only as about 6, while Opera has about 600. But it's only 1.0, those things will eventually make their way into the browser.
Skyfire for me is faster than opera mobile, and i use it for flash videos.
The only laggy thing i think is the scrolling, that in Opera is better.
However if you don't need to see flash content...skyfire is useless, i use UCWEB of NetFront
You should see Skyfire on HD ^^' Opera Mobile is better but no flash...

I want to try it out too. He he he... But from the supports page on their website it says it supports WVGA as well.
Are they telling us fibs. Can you post any screen shots of what it looks like on your HD?
Love to see flash videos (not just You Tube) on my WinMo.
well i did a test on both skyfire and opera on the loading times
skyfire took 14 sec. to load 1src.com
and opera only 10 sec. to load 1src.com
anyone else wanna test?
Opera Mobile, Opera Mini, Skyfire, Mach5, PIE
I have posted something similar somewhere else, however I think this is valid...
We have two different types of browser available
Client side (which means your browser on you PPC/HTC does all the work) or Server side (which means a fast computer somewhere does all the work and sends your PPC pictures of what is happening)
Client Side positives
You decide settings
You install all your favourite add-ons (flash etc)
You keep all you log-on settings
The rendering and compatability is what you install/set (also could be a negative if you aren't competent here)
Server Side positives
Your PPC doesn't need to install anything extra (flash etc), as it's all done on server side
All rendering is done by Server side, so it's simply plug n' play!!
And the negatives (which usually make the choice on such small devices as PPC)
Client Side
Usually takes up memory to install all plug-ins required to visit different sited on the web (eg, flash) (i.e, the more you have installed your PPC, the more compatible it will be with more web sites/pages)
Slows the computer, and takes up memory to render the page (everything needs to be downloaded and processed)
Server Side
You're at the hands of the server (is it set up for QVGA/VGA, how does it input text etc)
The fastest it works is by sending you pictures (whereas you may have a dedicated flash player, such as TCPMP etc)
Your log-on settings are kept by the server (someone else)
The rendering is only as good as the server
The server may be in a different locale to you
The connection takes the bottle-neck (i.e, the faster your connection, the better videos will be - you really need a contract/cost limit on your data downloads!)
So as for Skyfire is "Server Side". Skyfire renders as QVGA (even though it does work on VGA, it doesn't look any good).
Opera is Client Side. This means it really can't really be compared to Skyfire in the same way as, say, Mach5 could... but could be compared to PIE.
However, Opera Mini is Server Side - and I think there's some great advances are now there. Anyone comment on Opera Mini compared to Skyfire?

i have to say that opera mini is truly fast but i ALSO LOVE BOLT and UCWEB
BOLT- best feature is the split screen. good for large pages
UCWEB- has features like multiple tabs

Screens in *.png aren't mine (I cannot make shoots of my Display) but you could see page rendering output.
On HD Skyfire is horrible... I use IE with flash: it's slow, few optimized but make similar PC...

Thanks mate. Wow! That is fxxking ugly man! Not going to touch that with barge pole. Saves from downloading it.
I guess I have to wait till IE6 comes out. Maybe that will be better contender?
HD
On my Touch HD i prefer Opera. I only use Skyfire for flash based sites. Even for YouTube i prefer the specific application rather than Skyfire. May be my comments are not so scientific but i feel Opera more smooth and nice looking overall.
Exellent explanation -Jonny-!!!
i could see sticking with skyfire if it wasn't so stupid
skyfire.com hosts all your bookmarks and history
wtf?!?!
having to load a browser page just to see my bookmarks
it takes forever...huge fail
flash is nice...but absolutely ZERO speedtest pages load
i must have tried about 20 on google search for speed tests - all failed with 404
other than that
opera mini - no text selection...and no flash...7mbps+
opera beta - no flash - navigating the zoom frustrates me often (turbo is fast)
i'm on a htc 6800 (mogul/titan)
having more than one browser installed is such a waste of resources
i wish someone could make something that simply works...
you would think a mobile browser would be something basic & simple
i just cant see why its so complicated...but i'm not a programmer
its obvious what everyone wants but each browser only has a few qualities
i find myself using ie more...an option you can always go back to with minimal letdowns
at least its problems i can deal with and dont make me want to hurl my brick phone into a deep river along with my body tied to it
i will keep trying new browsers i havent yet though i'm not expecting much:
ucweb
bolt
mach5
pie (what is pie i've heard it mentioned but cant find any info)
any info on these browsers appreciated if anything is not obvious like basic installation or source for program.
just wanted to bump this page

How do you view full web pages?

Now that im on froyo on my N1 with flash i want to view full web pages just like on my laptop.
BUT on alot of my favorite web pages it automatically goes to the mobile site. Even if i type the in the site manually or try different methods it still reverts to the mobile site.
Any way to disable mobile view sites?
Type this on The browser
"about:debug" then go into settings And scroll down to uastring. Change from Android to desktop.
Where exactly is "about:debug"?
Edit: nevermind I got it. Thanks alot
you have to type "about:debug" in the address bar then hit go on keyboard. Now I have more setting to mess with.
any help to make the tilt 2 show me full web pages ? I think it was capable before update the rom.

[Q] Opera 10.00 Flash conflict in desktop view

Hi All,
I have an issue with my Opera browser and Flash. I can't find anything else posted here in a similar vein, so I'm posting a new question - apologies if this is a duplicate.
I have Opera 10.00 installed on my HD2 and was getting annoyed with how it always defaults to mobile sites when the screen size on my HD2 (and connection speed) is sufficient to browse sites in desktop view. So I followed the advice on this page (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=5786377&postcount=1602) and am now able to view desktop view pages by default.
HOWEVER
I am now no longer able to watch Flash videos through my browser. Whereas before I could just click a video and it would work no problem, now the video just shows the Flash 9 logo and tells me I need to upgrade.
After some investigation, it seems to due to the User Agent setting. I can only view Flash videos if this is set to '1' (Opera) but I can only view desktop mode by default if it is set to '2' (Mozilla).
Does anyone know how I can have the ebst of both world? I want to be able to watch Flash while browsing in desktop mode - is that too much to ask?!
Thanks
AdLoki

[App]Opera Mobile 11 Final!

Opera's famous mobile browser is back, version 11 is available now and it's just awesome! Rediculously fast rendering engine and now support for flash plugin!
Best browser for Android by far!
http://www.megaupload.com/?d=S9E64JSP
How-To for desktop view of web pages:
For those who want to prevent the mobile versions of web pages:
Open Opera 11, enter opera:config in your URL-bar, hit enter. The second last point in the menu is USER PREFS, click on it.
Now you will be presented with a very long list of customization options. Go and find "User Agent Strings". This field is blank as default.
Now you can put one user agent of your choice into that list:
http://www.useragentstring.com/pages/Opera/
Mine is for example:
Opera/9.80 (Windows NT 6.0; U; de) Presto/2.2.15 Version/10.00
Now safe this config, close the browser (I did a force close via app manager) and start it again!
Now the browser opens every page in desktop mode, enjoy!

In my opinion Opera 11 is way better than dolphin. Give Opera 11 a test ride and see for yourself, it's unbelievably fast und scrolls very, very smooth, even on pages with massive content!

I used Miren before, quite good! The advantage Opera offers is a unique rendering engine. Dolphin and Miren use the rendering engine of the stock browser with a few tweaks, Opera relies on a homemade engine and really shines with that.
I've never seen a mobile browser being so fast, this release is a real milestone!
Does this version have the hardware acceleration we were promised?
I notice this version doesn't have the instant back feature, it seems to reload the previous page.
I still say the fastest & best browser for android is Xscope Pro 6, fast, light & instant back.
Cheers,
Banzi.
Just did a quick comparison between Opera Mobile 11 and xScope 6. Opera outperformed xScope in every aspect.

Flash pages keep not opening with Opera Mobile for me... the option is activated
Oh, so Miren uses the stock browser, so THAT'S why it renders Google Mail/Reader etc correctly... Nothing else does
On topic.... Yep, the new version is pretty cool, I use 11 on my tablet and Mini on my phone, although I most often use the stock browser on my phone as it's damn good and renders most stuff better.
Only annoyance is they've made all of the windows hover over the open page, and on my tablet they're only about half the screen size, so wasting space when in the menus.
I heard that tap-to-zoom was gone in Mini, only pinch zoom. Hopefully they fix that, as when I do use Opera Mini I prefer to tap as it's faster and more accurate and doesn't require two fingers
Miren is built on top of the stock browser's engine with a few enhancements and tweaks, as I mentioned. Same choppy scrolling, awful pinch-to-zoom speed, especially on pages with lots of script content.
Opera 11 runs on my Desire HD like a mobile browser should. Fast, efficient, smooth!
Excellent but there's a BIG issue: no easy way to use a "Desktop mode" (spoof desktop browser user-agent) to avoid mobile versions of websites
I cant find the chance to change the user agent to desktop, anyone?
Nice and fast.
But still same **** with Facebook.com.
I got back to the "Touch" (mobile) version when I click "Top News" and "Most Recent" back and forth.
Is there any way to change the USER AGENT string?
Oh well, go back to Dolphin Mini.
