I'm having trouble with my Jabra BT250v and my Fuze. The Jabra always worked perfectly with my Nokia phone so I don't believe it's a problem with the unit. The first oddity I noticed is that it paired automatically without asking for a code. After researching this I found out that the new Bluetooth driver does this by design with non secure items like headsets and such by trying a series of commonly used codes like "0000", "1234". That's all good and well, and it does seem to pair up, but I've read that other devices have trouble being bombarded with codes like that and even though it shows up as paired, it doesn't work. I'm not sure if this is the cause of my problem or not, but is the only obvious thing I could pick out.
I've tried putting the ear piece back into the charging cradle to reset it before trying to pair it. I've tried the standard pairing procedure by turning the device on by holding the power button for 8+ seconds until the light goes solid. I've tried the alternate method of holding both the power and volume up button to pair it in the handsfree mode. I've manually set it to handsfree mode once the device is listed on the phone. I'm really out of things to try to get this going.
Basically it pairs and all looks good but I don't get any sound out of the unit and trying to initiate a call or redial does nothing. The phone just keeps going as if it never paired up at all. I'm hoping someone has some more ideas I could try as I would really like to get this working. I wasn't sure if there was a way to just re-install the Bluetooth stack, or even an alternate Bluetooth driver I could try. If it does have something to do with the auto-pairing feature, does anyone know how to disable this? I'm willing to try damn near anything that can help me pinpoint the problem. I haven't been able to locate any Bluetooth troubleshooting tools and even looked at the service manual, but they just put it through a simple test and it doesn't delve into anything deeper.
Lastly I should mention that I am able to use Active Sync over Bluetooth with my laptop and it does ask for a pairing code so I'm really stumped. I guess it is a possibility that the Jabra is messing up since I last used it with my Nokia about 2 weeks ago, it just seems highly unlikely. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Many Thanks,
Eidolen

Answer: NO
Ok I've done everything 10 times over, got it to bond, but there's no way the XDAII is sending a call over to it either bonded as a headset or as hands free. Have successfully bonded the PC and a Rikaline GPS using Towas Patch .... so what am I doing wrong ... or am I to wait to the next version of the patch that will include Headset handling (the blanked out pic)?
Anyone else got the BT25 working - the box says it works with the XDAII .... I feel a bit stupid sitting here with a headset on that doesn't work!
Are you enabling "bluetooth headset mode" on the main Today screen, it is easily overlooked.
Yes done that one to bits. Even did I hard reset last night to see if basic Mobile 2003 (with nothing added or taken away) would do it. It didn't so I did a restore.
I suppose the headset could be faulty, but bearing in mind the problems that are most of us are having in one form or another with BT, I guess it probably aint! It also does bond as either a headset or a handsfree (I was reading on here there is a difference). I'm puzzled, coz it should be working!!!
Did you try to bond the headset without towas patch, also when the xda2 finds the headset does it announce that the device supports headset profile? The only other thing I can think of is to check that bluetooth is on rather than in discover mode. The bluetooth stack ont eh xda2 sucks big time, but it wont be long before they release the solution so hopefully we should be able to use it as it as designed to be used, I could never understand the logic of releasing hardware capable of so much then using brain damaged software to cripple it.
Ok - swapped out the set at my supplier today and still no change. It bonds and asks for the BT access code which I enter correctly and it appears in the BT bonded list with the GPS and PC. It still doesn't pass over calls, even if I try a manual intervention by pressing on of the keys on the headset as instructed. I've ticked the headset and tried headset mode bonding and handsfree bonding. I've also tried bonding from the discoverable mode in the on mode.
I've also tried a complete hard reset last night and then bonded with the same result.
Think I've exhausted this one and am going to wait for the 02 Rom upgrade (or is that really a Microsoft one)?!
Stop -press ... it just seems to have started working in headsetmode ... not handsfree .... I am trying to work out why ..... this has been 3 days of trying!!! Maybe the original headset really was the problem
Ok, perhaps this exists already and I'm just blind to it-
I'm trying to find a way to make initiating an A2DP connection between multiple headsets easier.
No, I don't mean at the same time- My goal is perfectly rational and rather simple: I have multiple A2DP receivers (headset, home stereo receiver, 2 car stereos), and I want a simple way to connect to them from the phone.
Normally, one has to click through a staggering number of screens to accomplish this.
Start-Settings-Communication-Bluetooth, select headset, press-and-hold for context menu, hit "Use as wireless stereo". This should be a much simpler process, especially since standard feature phones can do this in a few clicks.
I thought that perhaps A2DP Toggle was the answer, since it claims to be able to toggle A2DP/Speaker from the today screen.
The problem is, A2DPToggle only supports one headset.
In other words, it only reconnects to the last device it was used with. If I just used BT Stereo in my car, when I get my wireless headphones and hit the Toggle, it will sit trying to connect to my car instead of finding my heaphones.
Eventually it will give up and timeout.
What I want is an app that is easily accessible that will either A) display a selection of previously paired headsets that the user can pick from, or B)cycle through a list of headsets, trying to find one that is nearby and on (I understand that this may prove more complicated and less reliable than option A).
That being said, is there an app that does this, or something similar, already? If not, anyone want to help me develop one?
Moved to Q&A
why don't you suggest this option to the creator of A2DP Toggle.. maybe he'll add it.
I've tried already, mentioned it a while back and got a "maybe in the future" sort of response. I posted on his thread again a couple of days ago, and started this thread in case he's still not interested.
I'm honestly pretty surprised no one else was interested in this before me- am I the only person who has more than one a2dp receiver paired with his phone???
I don't use it at all.. but I can see why someone would
as it seems nothing like this exists.. maybe you can change the thread's subject to [REQ] to request an application.. maybe another developer would like to work on this.. tho.. sometimes people demand some money for it.
I know there are some Bluetooth issues, but I haven't seen any petaining to just regular headsets. I have a Jabra JX 10 (original model), and I can pair it, but it disconnects as soon as I try to make a call. It's the best headset I've ever used, so I would really like this to work. I have tried removing it, doing a soft reset, re-pairing it, but no joy. Any suggestions to get this to work? I have a Telus TP2. TIA.
From memory, last time I used a Jabra, you can set it up in 2 Handsfree modes.
I cant remember exactly what to do, but try switching it into the other mode.
I searched but found nothing in relation exactly. So this is kindof weird, thats why I'm posting. I searched through google, LG forums, jawbone forums and t-mobile forums, nothing exactly in relation (especially dealing with multiple ROM's) or any type of fix to a related issue.
So, I have a jawbone 2 headset device. Stock before I did anything, it paired. Diddnt use it for a while their, and then stared flashing some ROM's. I mainly used cm7 based rom's and paired my headset just fine, very easily actually and fast. I'm having proximity sensor issues, so I had to revert back to a froyo build (EB right now) but the same goes for ultimate rom.
Every time I try and connect initially, i get a force close on the settings. (when jawbone is in pairing mode) Then its in the list of bt connections of course, and i try and re-connect it and it spits out: Their was a problem pairing with Jawbone because the PIN or Passkey is incorrect. Now I havnt been able to find out how to either change the key or the pass. The key is the default 0000, I have even reset the jawbone to when I turn it on, its in auto pair mode. I have done hard-reboots, battery out's almost everything I can think of
So I'm stuck, any information would be completely awesome, and I hope its not super easy... Well I do, but it will not credit my intelligence.

There's no answer in this old thread but I am having the exact same issue. It's happening on 2 different phones with different ROMs (Bionix and Weapon). I had the issue before on Weapon 2.8 so I downgraded to 2.7 and it was working. I then when reset my headset to connect it to the other phone, and it's giving me the problem again. Has anyone solved this? I am using a Blu Ant Q2, is that a bad device for this phone? Thanks.
Pairing SGS3 to Jawbone
So frustrating. Hours spent on this. Have 2 Jawbone II s and neither will pair with Samsung Gal S3. Soooooo frustrating. No answers on web to date. Have tried reset of Jawbone. Tried holding TALK button. Tried pairing in every way. No success. Sgs3 does detect many things but not Jawbone. Please answer. [email protected]. Thankyou out loud!!!!!!
Hey all,
I recently installed RR on my OPO because it looks awesome and because I was hoping it would fix some bluetooth issues i've been having with the phone. It is awesome, but unfortunately didn't fix my bluetooth-aches.
I was reading somewhere that it is possible to "change the bluetooth radio" (???). I think it means install new drivers? Anyways, does anyone know of a way I can try out a completely different bluetooth driver (stack?, radio?, software?, etc...).
The symptoms are:
Pairing to certain devices is a nightmare, it takes upwards of 20 tries and even then sometimes it doesnt work. When it does, it stays paired and connects most of the time automatically.
I have a Garmin D2 that simply won't pair with the phone. Using the garmin app, the phone complains about the key being incorrect (the 6 digit bluetooth key) but it is...
Anyways, if someone can point me in the direction of a bluetooth radio that is compatible with RR, i'd appreciate it.
