Waking my (Vodafone) Raphael UK - slide the keyboard only? - Touch Pro, Fuze General

Hi guys
My dear ol' Raphael goes to sleep after a while, if I don't use it for a min. Well that's all fine and dndy, but if I want to check a contact or something, I can only wake Raphael by slide the keyboard out/in - is this the only way to do this? Is there a tweak or something?

Wakeup display just to show the time when pressing a button

Hi all,
Sorry for the cross-post, but I just realized that this is probably the best forum for my question..
I normally don't carry a watch, so I look at my TC to get the time. I would like this funtionality mapped to one of the hardware buttons:
Wakeup the display and show a big clock for a second or two, then turn off the display again. (Preferably, the device should still be locked throughout this.)
Is there any similar software?
Thank's in advance!
Edit/Delete Message
hi
i have an x7500 and i use the app called slide 2 unlock. that's the iphone program developed for ppcs. what happens is when i press the power button, the screen comes alive and the 2 most prominent features on the screen are the time (large display) and the slide to unlock the device. i then press the power button again or i leave it to power down on it's own. the same thing happens when a call comes through. i have a bt headset and the screen comes alive. but no app can be launched because the slide 2 unlock button will in fact lock the screen. the only way to unlock it is by unlocking it using the slider.
other's in the forum could have other apps as well. but so far that works for me.
just my 2 cents
Thank you very much, Robson!
Based on your description, I'll keep looking for something that will not interfere when a call comes. Thank's anyway, though!
Anyone else with any ideas?

You can disable the phone options in S2U2 if you want
Thank's, DocteurN! That's pretty close, except if set to 5secs it will turn off the phone after five all the time, not just when Ive pressed the power-button to get the time. Nearly there..
SPB Mobile Shell does this with its now screen. OR SPB Time can do it with its screensaver !
Both must haves anyway imho !
Dave
Thank you dmj1973! I'm trying with the SPB apps now.
The SPB apps are great but there is no keylock, as far as I can see..?
Basically, from sleep mode, I just want to push a button to see the today screen or at least the time for a second or two, without unlocking the device.
Which is exactly what I do with S2U2 - I press the power button, glance at the time, then hit it again... Perfect!

Wake On Slide

Just jumped from a diamond to a pro which I'm loving except I hate the fact that the pro wakes up if you slide the keyboard Has anyone found a trick to turn this option off?
Help me out here, i've been trying to figure out what you wanna do with your phone, when you slide it out and you don't want it to wake up, but exept using it as a slightly unefficient ninja star, i don't find a way.
I just dont want it to "wake up" when moving around in my pocket
Yes,it's quite annoying for me as well, but I can live with it. In the pocket I don't see any problem, because I need to slide relatively long stroke out(>1cm) to get a reaction, which I cannot accidentialy activate(in comparison with Kaiser it is very good-it's reaction is 3mm). But for me is bad, that I cannot disable autorotation while slideout.

Weird Problem - schizophrenic button - help required!

Hi everyone!
I've purchased a second hand i-mate jam (magician) yesterday. There was a problem with it and I've upgraded to big storage 1.13.00 WWE with 1.12.00 radio. However the problem is consistent:
Every button is working besides directional buttons. I guess they are acting like enter button (including the middle selection button). And here's the funny thing: when I click any of the directional buttons, the red/close button stops to work and calender button acts as align screen!
What am I going to do with my schizophrenic buttons? Help me out!
I'm having more experience day by day, if any other semptoms are observed, I will share it with you guys. (and gals, if there is any)
Bye the way, donation is one solution away... (if you dont want to help for free )
Addition: I guess this is related with driver or rom issues, thats why I put this topic here. If anywhere else is the right place, move me there sir (admins)
Ow, ow, I forgot to tell: if I turn it off and back on (standby), the same working buttons back... When I press directionals, here comes the problem...
Problem identified
Middle selection button is kept pressed.
Try on your own: press calender while holding middle selection key: align screen...

Lock TP without going to Home screen + bonus question

Hi,
I have a question about the default WM lock - is it possible to lock the device but keep the application that is running shown on the screen?
I use long press of the End key to lock the TP but it jumps back to Home screen after locking.
I know Gyrator has a feature that doesn't but I'm wondering if there is a simplier way to do this. Any registry tweaks can manage it?
Thanks for the reply.
PS: (this might seem stupid) Which button is the PTT button? I can see it in the Button settings menu but I can't figure out what to push to make the particular appl to run. Thx

So you want to be able to see the program running while your device is locked? I wouldn't know how to this because i just use the power button to put my device on standby.
BONUS!
If you look on the left side of your device, assuming you have an At&t HTC Fuze, the button under the volume up & down buttons and is marked "PTT" is the ptt button

Yep, exactly - I need my device locked but see the app running. But it's not the same as standby, I use my power button for that as well.
Bonus - this was indeed a stupid question I'm too embarassed to say that I own a non-branded TouchPro. That's why I couldn't find the button. Ah well, thanks for the reply.
I use AE Button Plus, and map a quick double press of the "red/hangup" button to lock screen.
I'm using the stock T-Mobile UK version of the Touch Pro (MDA Vario IV), still with TouchFlo3D enabled and this works with almost all applications, leaving the application running and on screen (but dimmed).
Hope that helps!

Home screen menu invisible until backlight turns off

Since updating to Frau Hottelmann's excellent bit of cooking I have an irritating issue with the menu: after using the slide-out keypad, when I slide it back in, in the home screen the (Titanium) menu is invisible until the backlight turns off. The menu when I use the keys again, it's just a nuisance having to wait for the backlight to turn off every time.
Many thanks in advance for your insights...
Try flashing again When i does not work, try another rom.
This is a regular WM6.5 bug. When your screen is off and you directly slide your phone open, the last screen will be 'forgotten'. This goes away when your screen goes back in stand-by.
The only solution is to first wake your screen (press a button) and then slide out your keyboard. Or don't use the sliding panels
Good luck!
Thanx guys
Rats! Hmmm.
Actually the screen isn't off, and it's the other way round: okay with keyboard out, menu missing when it slides back in - but maybe that's the same bug?
I'm otherwise very happy with 6.5 so I'll cross fingers that a bugfix comes along.
Funnily enough, since I posted, my Vox has started rebuilding the menu correctly again (no reboot). Let's see...
